AWFUL customer service at their pharmacy. It's a shame that one of the most popular 24 hour pharmacies in the southern suburbs has such trash service. They will put you on hold repeatedly and when they do finally come to the line they act like you're an inconvenience to them. Do yourself a favor and fill your prescriptions elsewhere. read more

They are lazy and slow. I tried to use a coupon for Emfamil and the manager did not want to process it because she said that it was for the large cans when it clearly says ALL products. I detest that it's the only 24 hour walgreens in the area. read more

I have lived in this community for 20 years. 20 YOUNG years. I raised my children from infancy in this community. This Walgreens - store #03651 - was always our resource for pharmaceutical needs, toiletries, allergy medicine... for 20 years. No more. In just the last year alone, I've felt the friendly energy if this place not just wane, but halt sharply. Now, there are a couple of wonderful employees, one of which (I was sad to hear) was recently transferred to the Homewood store, I believe. A pattern I've noticed there, too: transferring out the best folks including great managers. If my neighbors in the area are looking for a better atmosphere, I highly suggest the Park Forest Walgreens on Lakewood and Orchard as well as the Matteson Walgreens on Lincoln Highway right by I-57. Theeee nicest people work there, for real, both locations. I don't typically review or Yelp on things, much less negatively, but after yesterday's experience with and at this store, I think writing about this is the only way I'll stop shaking my head. read more

This is by far the slowest pharmacy I have ever been to. They gave me a 2 hour wait time for the medication and still didn't have it done after the full 2 hours. They also filled the prescription with the wrong dose but luckily caught it before I arrived. I won't be back. read more

I am a long time Walgreens shopper and this store has the worst pharmacy customer service that I have ever experienced. They have a lot of customers but not enough pharmacy associates so the wait times are LONG. One of the the pharmacists gave me a snappy response to a question that I asked her. I supposed she felt overwhelmed but that's certainly not my fault. After waiting today at the drive-up window for over a half-hour with only one customer ahead of me, I've decided to transfer my prescription to another Walgreens. Hopefully, I'll never have to step into this store again! read more

I've never had a problem at this pharmacy, the staff are always nice and friendly. Even though they are always super busy I'd rather go to this location because the service is always professional and the pharmacy staff is always so helpful and patient. With the new year I didn't realize my insurance expired and they took the time and look it up for me. Saved me a trip back home to try and find my new card. They always go the extra mile. I appreciate them for that. read more

This Walgreens Pharmacy is consistently messed up! This morning they informed me that it's my responsibility (because they don't have time to update all pharmacy employees on prescription status) to let their staff know that my prescription should be next and not to have me continue to drive around in 15 minute intervals. I avoid this location like the plague and like today, whenever I have to go there it's a mess of some sort! read more

I just left this store and beyond shocked at the buffoonery of the Manager Marquita. I was making a second purchase because I received a register reward from P&G on a prior purchase and I did not want to misplace or forget about it. I was being checked out by a young lady named Taylor. The manager who was ringing up another customer because there was a line overheard me telling my brother that I was going to pay for his $2 purchase because I was going to be a penny shy of using my register reward because you cannot go under the price of a register reward and she( Marquita) said wait did you get that today? I replied yes (being the honest person that I am) and she said no you cannot use that today. I asked why not, I have used these plenty of times and she said it cannot be used on the same day. I then asked did the policy change and she said yes the policy changed and you can no longer use register rewards the same day. I thoroughly read the small print and it was not stated nor was there any postings around the store that reflected the "NEW POLICY". Marquita then said that if the cashier tried to scan it, it will not go through, so I asked can she at least try? Marquita replied "No she cannot I am the manager and if she do I will fire her right now" (so rude and unprofessional embarrassing her team member like that in front of a store full of customers). The young cashier Taylor appeared scared and shaky because she #1 was scared she would get fired and #2 she was just embarrassed in front of a store of people. I then replied I would call corporate because that does not seem correct and I asked her name she said with a threatening tone Marquita here see, see can you see it and through her badge out in my face and kept flipping it from from front to back can you see can you see. I am going to assume that she held it out so I can see it said manager and get the correct spelling and not making fun of a disability which is a violation. I was about to take a picture of it but stopped and wrote her name down because of security purposes. At least at my place of employment it is a security violation. That was dumb of me trying to save her from getting in trouble if it is a security issue. I left the store and called the corporate office to ask the question and they agreed that I could use the coupon and did not have to wait until the next day, I just could not use it on the transaction that I earned it on. I went back into the store with the rep on the phone and she said i'm still not going to take it and anyways my boss "PHIL" said I cannot take it. I asked to speak to Phil and she replied "Phil is not here but you can call him tomorrow". So now I am very confused 1. She just got smart flashing her badge bragging how she was THEE Manager and would fire the cashier if she attempts to scan my coupon and made it VERY VERY clear by waving her badge in my face. 2. Now that I called in, she said PHIL who was not there said not to take it. Lastly, I heard her mumble well she gotta come back another day anyways. REALLY!!!!!!!!! Come on we have to do better WALGREENS. I remained nice and professional did not raise my voice, get loud or scream because you do not match ignorance with ignorance I was actually raised with good home training. Maybe Miss Marquita was just having a bad day but I will be taking this matter further up the corporate ladder and not with PHIL. read more

I would give this pharmacy no stars if possible. I called at 9 am to request a script be filled. After waiting 30 minutes on hold for a pharmacy person to answer, we discussed the fact that my insurance plan did not cover this medication, but I asked them to fill it anyway - I would pay for it. No problem, they say. It will be ready in an hour and a half. Two hours later, after not getting a call, I called and the automatic system says there is no prescription for me. I wait on hold another 30 minutes and I'm told it will be ready in an hour and a half! This happens 3 times that day. My daughter finally goes to the drive through at 8:30 pm and is told it is still being processed. They want her to drive around and get in line again and it will be ready by then! My daughter refused to move until they give her the prescription. Amazingly it was ready in about 10 minutes! How long does it actually take to count a few pills in to a bottle and print a label for it? Apparently about 10 minutes. So why did they give me the run-around all day? I am so unhappy that my prescription plan utilizes Walgreens. I am going to take my prescriptions to a different store next time. I will just have to spend some time reading all the reviews for all the stores in my neighborhood. All these associates in this pharmacy should be fired! read more

I am writing this review with amazement at the inconsistent service that I have received between the pharmacy and the store. Over the years I have found this location very convenient for pharmacy services, just okay for photo services, and unusually inconsistent for general store needs. It comes down to the workers and general customer service. Although most workers are cordial and helpful, there are often a few who ruin the shopping experience and cast a dark shadow on the store in general. Today was the exception and prompted me to change my star rating from two to three for this location. Not surprising, it was from a pharmacy visit. This time I used the drive through pharmacy, which is always faster for me. I was greeted with a friendly hello, asked if I needed to get clarity on my prescription, and with pronounced, my order was ready and ended with a pleasant "have a nice day". It sounds since enough, but it's not always the case. So, today I note the changes and hope that the friendly and prompt service will continue. read more

Three strikes and you are out! This Walgreens is absolutely the worst. I dont write reviews but my experience with them is HORRIBLE. Today my Urgent Care physician wouldnt let me leave the facility until my script was filled. I received a call on way to Walgreens stating that there is a delay because of insurance confirmation. I went home and slept for 2 hrs trying to avoid pain. When woke up, i called three times to reach Pharmacy and was on hold a total of 45 minutes. When contacting the manager on duty, she suggested that this was my issue and to come in to rectify it. After explaining that pain wont allow me to do so and asked if i could fax over info, she said no..come in. This is the third time going through this and each time i transferred my script to CVS on Lincoln Hwy and they have been amazing! If you are wanting decent or great customer service, DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY!! They do not pick up phone and are absolute idiots that have no empathy towards sick individuals. Not the Walgreens of the good old days. They should fire ALL pharmacy staff and start brand new. read more
