I came to pick up my prescription and was told it would be ready in an hour. Since I couldn't return that soon, I gave them until the end of the day. When I came back, it still wasn't ready. I was then told it could be done now, but only if I got back in line, despite already being at the window. The pharmacist said he knew about the issue but didn't have time to call and resolve it earlier. I've used the same insurance for years without problems, so that explanation didn't make sense. Truthfully, I am extremely shocked by the unprofessionalism of this Walgreens. Not only does the pharmacy staff appear incompetent, Every employee (when I have been able to actually speak to someone) I have spoken to has been extremely hateful towards me. I have had a medication that has been delayed for many days now and every day the staff tell me to call back tomorrow. The next day when I called, a pharmacy technician answered the phone and literally said " What do you want?" I decided not say anything about it and went ahead and let that one slide by remaining calm and unbothered. After I told her I was calling about the status of one of my prescriptions, the pharmacy tech said "Hold on." She put me on hold and I continued to wait. She then got back on the phone line and barked, "Youre gonna have to just call back later" & then she abruptly hung up on me, ending my call. I was already on hold for an extended period of time despite calling at 8:15 am, only 15 minutes after they opened. I am a healthcare professional and was truly shocked by the poor behavior of the employees working at this Walgreens location. Not to mention, the drive-thru is also unacceptably slow and also verbally aggressive. I waited for nearly an hour while there was only one car in line in front of me. When it was finally my turn at the window, the pharmacy staff treated me as if they were highly inconvenienced by my presence as if I had interrupted whatever it was they were doing. I really don't know how this place even stays open due to their openly hostile behavior towards customers. I am a registered nurse and could never imagine treating patients the way I was treated. I am also an overly polite person so I found the experience to be very disturbing. My rating is a negative star. It is not hard to be kind to people, particularly when I am choosing to spend my hard earned money at your store and treating your employees with respect. I think as a paying customer, I deserve to be treated with respect versus being subjected to hostility. I have almost completed my nurse practitioner program and am all too familiar with the hardships employees are facing related to the pharmacy shortage. But that should not compromise basic human kindness and treating others with dignity. Shame on you, Walgreens. read more

Worst pharmacy ever! I sat on hold for 40 minutes and could hear them pick up and click it over to the queue again at least 15 times. When the girl finally answer I told her what I had heard and I even heard her talking and she clicked me over. Her response was "I am busy , I am giving vaccines, filling scripts, helping customers,etc..." I said that's not my problem. Hire more staff if you can't answer the phone . I told her I was at the point where I was going to drive over there with me on hold and let them see me standing there holding my phone when they finally picked up. At all costs avoid this pharmacy! Also, it is expensive. If you research other pharmacies, your drugs will be cheaper elsewhere! And my experience is GoodRx is cheaper than using my insurance. But not at this pharmacy! I know the staff is overworked and underpaid and probably treated poorly by many customers, however that is not the fault of the average joe that just needs some help. I understand that it is flu season and they're getting it handed to them right now, but they're in health care and that should mean being kind to sick patients. My child and I both have the flu and my insurance denied her medication, I called to see why and after waiting on hold for 48:39 I decided it may be better to just go to the store. Upon arriving, and choosing the drive thru since I'm sick, the pharmacy tech decided it best to snap at me! I'm sorry, but if you don't like your job and don't want to help a patient, just quit. The pharmacy is always so busy/packed no matter when you come and there's literally no point in ordering your meds ahead because you'll stand in line forever anyway, no matter the time of day. Dear Sie or Madam: On April 17 Walgreen on Penn and Brittan in Oklahoma City I was treated "horrible" by the pharmacy Department. I went to pick up two (2) prescriptions, and was only given one, and CHARGED FOR TWO (2). i talked to the pharmacist (black person), about this problem. Her 10 minutes of talking was "This is above my pay grade." My wife got a new prescription from her Doctor, and we went to a different pharmacy and it was filled. I kept asking to speak to a Manager on duty. Answer, " There are no supervisors on duty at this time. " It's oblivious that no one at this store has been trained to "take care of the customer." I submitted a refill for a medication on 10/31 and it was supposed to be delivered and it never was at the Walgreens on Hefner and Rockwell. Now they show it that it was filled on 10/31 and my insurance will not pay to get it filled now of course. I tried calling thee pharmacy and the call drops. So I transferred it to the Walgreens on 63rd and MacArthur and talked to the pharmacist Craig and he told me he had to call the other store to try to find out what happened. I have waited two days and he told me I now had to call that pharmacy. This is after two days waiting for him to do what he said he was going to do. I really thought that was a better store but both of them have let me down. Now I am going to have to go up to the store on Rockwell and Hefner. Walgreens really dropped the ball on this one. This Walgreens is wonderful. There are two people that work here that are fantastic in their knowledge of item location, helpful, and patient, and better than anything, very kind!!! Dee has helped me so much with putting money on prepay credit cards, finding what I need and so very very kind at 3:00am. Walgreens is lucky to have her as an employee. Miriam is a perfect example of helpfulness even when she is swamped with customers. I watched her advise co-workers on problem solving, on the phone with angry customer, and checking me out all at the same time. Incredible !! DO Not I repeat Do Not use this pharmacy. The pharmacist will cancel your prescription because they think you can get a fraction of what your taking over the counter. I take 325 mg of aspirin a day due to having a stroke and I take the aspirin to prevent it from happening again. The idiot pharmacist decided I didn't need it and can take the over the counter ones instead. You know the mg on the ones over the counter, the highest they go is 100 mg, which I would have to take almost 4 of to equal the one pill I take my Doctor prescribed to me. I also found out it is illegal for them to do that. Yes I have filed a complaint with corporate about this. I am also planning on moving my meds somewhere else that I know I will be able to get without the fear of them being cancelled just because the pharmacist thinks it's a good idea. read more

Walgreens on 50th & May is THE WORST pharmacy ever. They are the most unaccomadating pharmacy ever. I wont get into details but they are unprofessional and constantly violating customers HIPAA laws. I've been standing in line, when they asked the person in front of me about their medication and stated the medication out loud, and or explained how to use a medication (which should have been explained in private) I've seen this numerous times. read more

The worst customer service I have ever encountered at a pharmacy. They tell you on the phone a script is ready, but when you get there its another 20 minutes... They close a 24/7 store at 10pm without any warning to the customers except small signs on the front doors while many use the drive thru in back. They tell you they don't have stock on a certain script that was on Automatic order, but never ordered by Walgreens even when it was 60 days overdue to fill. Then they tell you to call another Walgreens pharmacy to get it... CVS just got a big vote in the plus column!!! read more

I've been going here for 20 years. Service has always been great when Pedro left pharmacy tech service went down. The managers come and go. I encountered 1 belligerent one ( short stout covered in tattooed) a few back . It was very late closing time as I tried to bring my lil chihuahua in late with my daughter holding her. I went down the isle looking for said item and it was blocked an a mess. I had to ask this woman that has been rude just standing there twiddling her thumbs for help. Mandy was one of the nicest workers and she quit I can see why. The most helpful pharmacist is Tran she is on top of everything. The hours vary so much they need to be more consistent.The redhead girl has the personality of a rock and doesn't seem helpful and will barely speak. I wish I had more positive things to say. read more

I have been a patient customer for 10 years at this pharmacy. Not only do I have to wait in line 20+ minutes every single time I pick up prescriptions, but my husband has also had a Pharmacy Tech take his information and text him to see if he would like to go out with her sometime. I've never seen such a level of unprofessional behavior in a medical environment in all my life. This is supposed to be a medical part of the facility and instead it's just a huge joke that makes everyone angry that has to come in contact with it. I never leave reviews, but this is the worst, most inefficient pharmacy I have ever used, with the rudest and most unprofessional pharmacy staff I have ever interacted with. It is a pattern of mismanagement, not a few isolated events. I know this because I have been using this pharmacy for about a year now - truly no idea how I have managed to stick it out this long, but I will be switching immediately. Where to start... For several months, I kept feeling like I was short on my Vyvanse pills / running out before the month was over, thought I was going crazy. I finally counted this past month and I had 20 out of 30 pills that were supposed to be in there. When I spoke to the pharmacist they told me that "things get stressful back here" and that they had miscounted. I said I wasn't missing a pill or two, this was 10 pills... they were rude and acted like it wasn't a big deal. Vyvanse is $250+ even with insurance, so missing 10 pills is a huge deal. Honestly sketchy. I truly wonder if someone was pocketing and selling those pills. I'm also on Accutane - for those who don't know, you have to get labs / blood work / pregnancy tests done every month in order to get this prescription filled, and once you get those done, you have a 5 day window to pick up the prescription. If it is not picked up during this window, you have to do all those labs again (which cost money). I called this Walgreen's on the first day of my prescription window - they said they were out of stock, it'd be there the next day... then the next day... then the next day. My prescription window ends tomorrow, it's still not in stock, I've had to call 7 times now to ask about it. When I call I am always treated so rudely, no matter who picks up the phone. The pharmacists cut me off and talk over me, don't allow me to finish my sentences before they put me on hold... They act like I am the problem when the problem is that they have not been able to fill a prescription I need over the duration of a 5 day prescription window. When I told them I'll have to do and pay for all of my labs again if they cannot fill it for me before tomorrow, they did not seem to care. I have so many stories about this Walgreen's I don't even feel like writing them all down. I have never been so infuriated in my life. Avoid at all costs. read more

Oh man, I just love a good Walgreens. This one has saved me from almost every 1 AM sudden onset condition an adult, child, or very large dog can develop. It's 24 hours, it's Walgreens, and it's conveniently located. What more can you ask for? The great part about this location is that the employees are friendly and helpful, but not shopper stalkers. When you're trying to buy makeup, enemas, a space heater, condoms, and pasta sauce all in the same convenient trip, you just don't want someone asking if you need help finding anything more than once every 20 minutes. This place delivers. This store isn't huge; it's smaller but has a wide variety of stuffs. They carry just about everything with a smaller selection of some products. The pharmacy is hit or miss on speed at night. Sometimes they are packed and it is slower, and sometimes it only takes a few minutes to get your prescription filled. Pricewise, I usually end up paying less for most things at Walgreens by using their points and mobile coupons. Ask for the coupon book at the register and check their online app for digital coupons. I have been using this specific pharmacy for over 10 years. Until January '22, it was pretty much a dream. That, however, has disappeared. ive Been trying for two weeks to get my anti-depressant refilled. Two trips I made, the pharm was closed due to scheduling problems. I switched to direct mail delivery to circumvent that. I've received so many conflicting delivery messages. Went to the pharmacy to talk to a human, and she checked the fedex website and promised me it would be delivered the next day. It wasn't. I went back to the pharmacy and got an emergency dosage (3 capsules) and another promise that my order would be delivered today. I checked the fedex site and it proclaimed that my scrip was delivered at 2:59 this afternoon. it absolutely was not. This is inexcusable. I will be changing pharmacies. read more

By the time I got there, they said they did not get my script despite me verifying twice with my doctor that I know personally who had sent it in. I waited fifty minutes past my appointment for the flu shot and a person who came and checked in after me got theirs first. Maybe giving Walgreens a 1-star review is a little harsh considering how busy they get but they infuriated me today. I left work early today because of a sinus infection and I needed to go pick up my antibiotic from Walgreens. I called them to ask how long it would be for my prescription and they told me 30 minutes. I waited 30 minutes before leaving work and then waited in their drive-thru for 30 minutes only to be told that it would be another 30 minutes before my prescription would be ready. The woman working the drive-thru lanes was RUDE. Not only was she rude, I see how their drive-thru system works and she started helping another lady before me that obviously did not follow her cue I had been watching for 1/2 an hour. I think she could see the look I was giving her so she asked the other lady to hold on and asked me what I needed. These people lack basic communication skills and they NEVER have my prescriptions ready when they say they will so today I took my business to Homeland pharmacy where they were able to get my prescription ready in 15 minutes and were very nice. Plus there was NO wait in their drive-thru. I will never, EVER go back to Walgreens on 50th and May ever again. EVERRRRRR. read more

I took a paper prescription for pain meds and two other prescriptions were sent over by my doctor. I waited in line and dropped them all off at 7:30 pm. I was told to come back at 9:15. I came back at 9:15 and they had not gotten my meds together yet. I waiting while they put the order together and paid and left. When I got home, I only had the phoned-in meds and not the pain medication. No pain medication for a very acute and painful condition. Horrible night using just ibuprofen. So the next day I went back and told the man at the pharmacy drive through what had happened. When I explained that a black woman had taken my paper prescription, he insisted over and over that no black woman worked back there. He also insisted that nothing could be found. He was treating me like I was some kind of liar. Then he remembered that the manager is a black lady and that she was indeed helping them out last night. He still denied any scrips were there for me. So I left my phone number and went on my way, feeling scolded and shamed. For nothing. He called about 20 minutes later and had found my paper prescription and said he was filling it. No explanation or apology for treating me that way. He's the younger guy with glasses. I will never use Walgreens for meds again-going back to CVS where they are professional and polite. Dear Walgreens Pharmacy people-NOT ALL CUSTOMERS ARE JUNKIES TRYING TO HASSLE YOU. I was a real sick person who just needed the meds I was prescribed. read more
