In the before times, public speaking was very much a part of my wheelhouse, and Ioved to get to do it. After a rough two years, I was doubting my every word as I prepared to give my speech. I decided I needed the confidence boost provided by hair and makeup. I made an appointment at Drybar, and then directly after at Cos Bar. The darling Natasha did my makeup, and she talked to me the whole time so I would feel comfortable and relaxed leading up to my speech. She was absolutely darling. My makeup looked so good, and I love the products she recommended. The best thing: if you spent $200 or more, you got a free spring samples kit. The samples are incredible and easily valued at well over $200. I left for a work trip the day after, and packing was so fun because I had all these lovely little sample sizes. I will be a customer forever. And I will come here whenever I need my makeup with a side of pep talk and friendly chit chat.

As we entered, several associates were standing in a group near the front, but no one greeted us or welcomed us into the store. While that alone isn't a huge issue, I overheard one employee comment about my niece wearing a birthday sash in what came across as a rude, annoyed tone. It immediately made us feel uncomfortable, especially since we were there to celebrate her. Not once did an associate check on us or ask if we needed help. Multiple employees walked past us (literally passing us on the aisle) several times, and I watched them stop to ask other customers if they needed assistance while completely ignoring us. At checkout, Lina was polite and kind, and I appreciated her friendliness. However, when the associate at the neighboring register called "next," we explained that we were together. She simply turned around and walked away without saying a word. Overall, I was hoping to make this a fun birthday outing for my niece, but instead we left feeling unwelcome. She's 8 years old and it was disappointing to see a group of women make no effort to acknowledge her, especially on her birthday. For comparison, we stopped at Sephora across the street , and their team went above and beyond to make her feel special. The difference in customer service was night and day.

I asked them to return my call and the associate reassured me that either the store manager or salon manager would return my call. Neither of them did. I emailed them and they just said "we will need you to go to the store so they can provide you with the right item." I went to a store that is 45 minutes away because that's the only one that had the eyeshadow palette that I wanted and it could only be purchased in the store. I live 15 minutes from the Ulta near me. I'm not driving way, way across town. 45 minutes is a very long way to drive in OKC. Don't you guys ship orders to people every day? Why are you having me drive so far out of my way to fix your error? I've been a member since the early 2000's. I guess they don't care. The store associate was very sweet but corporate customer service leaves a lot to be desired. If I could give corporate zero stars, I would.
