I usually come here to fill a prescription that other "retail" pharmacies do not carry. Today they only had a few of my pills left in stock. They filled what they had and will call me next week to come get the rest. How nice! I really like that old town feel that we are currently missing! I hope everyone can come support their locals. They never have any of the more common medications in stock which has led me to struggle getting proper medical care. Some of the pharmacists and techs working are nice and sympathetic - they will work with you to find an alternative. But a few are mean and unhelpful, with one pharmacist making me call my doctor over and over for to essentially "guess" what antibiotics were in stock for my strep throat, each time I would have to wait an hour for it to be "filled" and then revealing of course they didn't have it. This pharmacist refused to tell me what they even had so I could tell my doctor. This little "game" went on until they closed at 6 PM and I had to needlessly suffer through another night without antibiotics. It was a fun way to spend a Friday. Sound like something you want to potentially deal with? A different pharmacist thankfully the next morning helped actually coordinate me filling an antibiotic - but I ended up with a sulfa-antibiotic because that is all they had in stock! I am pretty lucky to not be allergic to sulfa-drugs but many people are. Couple that with the incredibly restrictive hours and frankly it's not worth your time to use this pharmacy. I have had Albuterol take hours to fill, and then 6 PM comes by and whoops! We're closed. No emergency asthma inhaler for you.

Stood around for 30-45 min waiting to ask a basic question on why a transferred prescription was cancelled, pharmacist is running around like his hair is on fire, other customers piling up. While I'm standing there no less than 3 calls come in and several customers walk up that needed something that required the pharmacists support, which was provided, yet a fairly simply question I had could not be easily or quickly addressed. The other issue with this location is you can't speak to a person when you call, you reach a voicemail that you have to leave a message at then wait for a callback (which often times does not come). I unfortunately switched employers in Jan and previously had Walgreens, of which I never had any issue or problems with and always received quick service.

I am on a auto refill for most medicines and never have trouble. Walgreen, however is overly busy and experiences there have not always been pleasant. As far as going early to try and refill a narcotic, I have been with good friends who were turned away. I would imagine, and seems to happen a lot. Both Walgreens and CVS disregard these early refill requests for certain medication, mostly pain narcotics, because of federal and state guideline. Some pharmacies, I know Walgreen does, keep a record and reports the habitual early and very early requests to refill a prescription. My experience has always been pleasant at CVS, Walgreens a little different, but both good pharmacies. Only difference might be the medicines carried by each franchise.
