It's like it got caught in time and never got the makeover the ones in the southern part of the state did. That being said: we stopped here *several* times over the course of the weekend, and they always had exactly what we were looking for (fresh fruit! kombucha! pain meds! gatorade in fun flavors!). And, actually, I was really impressed with the quantity of not just vegetarian but vegan brands they carry! The parking lot is a little chaotic, and the store is pretty run down and grimey. I just brought my own bag, carried my stuff around in it, then cashed myself out to keep to limited touching of surfaces.

I love Hannaford. Especially the store in Scarborough - that has always been my favorite Hannaford…read morelocation. I have been collecting their Fresh magazine since it's inception. Years!!! The articles, nutrition information, season and holiday themes, and recipes. Their prices are better than say, Shaws. In my opinion. I always thought had I continued on to become a registered dietitian, I would work for Hannaford. I will tag them in my IG when I make a featured recipe or when I buy something like a miniature Christmas tree because I don't want to shop around. I think they should expand a few stores, like in Millinocket and Lincoln, to offer even more goods, like Fred Meyer, in Anchorage, Alaska. We are all about convenience these days, and Fred Meyer offered the best prices, the best food options, clothing, shoes, decorations, alcohol, home goods and even tourist knickknacks. Thank you, Hannaford!

This is an AMAZING shop. There is so much here - every time I go in, I find different and more…read morethings! Someone rated it as pricey, but there's actually a huge variety of items here at many prices - many that are less expensive than you'll find elsewhere (seriously, $20 for a handmade wreath?!), and many items that are under $10. Everything is locally made, which i awesome for supporting local artisans, the community, and events. And Tricia - what a SUPER AWESOME person. If there's anything you need, she'll know how to get it. She gets things done. Even when it's something that isn't in the store (like knowing somehow EXACTLY what we needed for dinner and where to get it, she told us what we wanted, and when we agreed or made revisions, she called and told them what to give us). Plus, she's wicked funny. I feel like she's my own personal soul mate, but I think I'm probably not the only one who feels like she's a kindred spirit! Aside from this shop being wicked cool on an everyday basis, they went above and beyond to support the local event, the Millinocket Marathon & Half. They had medals locally made. Made tee shirts for the event. Had artisans make painted on slate ornaments commemorating it. Stood in the road to cheer runners in (and ran some in), stopped traffic so runners could proceed. They hosted packet pickup, were open crazy early to crazy late. Acted as designated drivers for the dance party Saturday night. But getting back to Moose Drop In - they were well over their usual for a given day... wall to wall people buying, needing, asking questions, wanting tee shirts made, asking directions, you name it. They never missed a step. Made everyone happy. Can't wait to come back!
