The store is more "grocery" and less "convenience store" thanks to the large selection and the lack of large grocery stores in this part of Maine, which is right next to the Canadian border. Canned goods, candy, dairy, deli, lots of wine and beer plus the sort of automotive items you might find in a 7-Eleven including oil, anti-freeze and gasoline cans. They were stocking the pizza display as we arrived. They also sell lottery tickets. Plenty of parking out front. This is a small but useful general-store place; a few beers, some Gatorade (only small bottles, no liters), some salty snacks, some sweatshirts. No extensive camp food selections, almost no fruit or veggies, a very limited sandwich counter, and a small counter steamer with a few Maine-style red hot dogs with natural casings (we got the last two). The two pumps are older, but they've got gas, which is all that matters. Clientele is a mix --- families buying drinks or slim-jims for their first family hike, sweaty hikers grabbing the first Gatorade they can find, campers and fishers looking for worms or beer, tourists getting pink hoodies with vacation screen-prints. There's a little of everything, but little selection. Far from the best general store I've visited, but clean and high stock turnover; just don't expect bathrooms.
