I've visited this Walgreens three times, and each time the staff has been consistently rude.

Your typical Walgreen's except this one has a drive-up window for picking up your Rx.

Instead of turning out "strawberry blonde" as we had wanted, hair turned bright copper-orange. Went to the Wheaton store the next day and asked the employee how color could be fixed. She said the color loomed horrible and sold us a product to remove the color. She advised that this product should be mixed with developer and sold us a bottle of that as well. Went home and applied product. Instead of removing the dye, it stripped the hair and took ALL color out of the hair in patches! Made an emergency visit to the salon at Ulta. Per the beautician at the professional salon, the original dye should have been mixed with blonde to get the desired color. We were also told that the color remover should NOT have been mixed with developer (only water) and could have caused hair to fall out! Spent 5 hours at the salon trying to get the hair color to look better and it will still take another visit to complete the repair. Called Sally Customer Care and they did not care. We were given nothing but lip service and the representative, JoAnn, "made notes of that". They do not want to take responsibility for untrained employees and would rather deal with the attorney that I will be hiring to get reimbursed for salon fees - and now punitive damages as well.

I don't shop at JcPenney's too often, and when this location opened, I have to admit that the first…read moretime I went in there, I had difficulty finding what I needed to. The lay out is just weird. Since I've been in there a few times since, I generally know where to go now, but I still find the lay out to be bizarre. I think they are finally starting to come around more to sales and coupons again, after they tried their new platform of just having a new pricing format instead.

Had the worst experience May 8th with Natalie. I had a full head of hair upon arrival. I requested…read morelayers and feathering to give me some volume and help with pulling it back out of my face on the sides. I was clear on what I wanted. She never heard of feathering. She calls it blending. She never heard of the Farrah Fawcet cut I wanted. Before going to shampoo area I showed her a couple pictures of what I wanted. I told her my hair is curly and she would have to spray it with water as she goes as it dries fast. She replied we will dry cut it. I also mention a bad cut I previously received there in the past with the women using razors on my thin hair. She agreed not razors, helmet style or bob for me. I watched her do a huge straight slice right above my ear and started shaking. I told her I was shaking. She then pulled out the razor and asked for permission to use it. I guess I figured she needed help with the thick long hair and said ok. Big mistake. She hid her mistake. So the sides were now short and the back straight and long. She would barely give the mirror to me to see her work. She had me facing a customer on the side of me for a long time. So uncomfortable for me. I kept looking at the 5-7" cuts of hair on the ground. When she asked me how much I wanted off in the very beginning I replied 2", no more than 3 due to the layering I wanted. When she said she was done I said I didn't want the back all one length. She took a couple cuts into the back and again without a word about her mistake she ran for help. I pushed myself with my feet to see it in her big mirror and grabbed the hand mirror. OMG total destruction. I told the hair dresser that came that we have a difference in the meaning of feathering and layering. Natalie called it blending. I call it a feathered and layered haircut. She was not helpful about that and said it should have been wet. I replied that's what I said. Natalie denied it. The new girl was going to take over but I I jumped out of the chair and said "we are done here". I went to different salon for help. She told me there were no layers and I have a botched shag. She didn't want to touch it until it grew. I went to see about hair extension. Very expensive and I can't have them as I am allergic to plastic. I am devastated. Probably wig time. I am crushed. Beware of young new girls and don't go walk in. Call ahead and get a seasoned hair dresser if you love your hair.

This Sephora is pretty decent. It's small, like you would expect a Sephora inside a JCPenney to be,…read morebut it carries a pretty nice selection of brands. There is NARS, Urban Decay, MAKEUPFOREVER, Kat Von D, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Buxom, Tarte, Too Faced, etc. Brands they do not carry are the higher end brands like Dior, YSL, Marc Jacobs, etc. They have a good selection of skincare and carry a lot of the main brands. The women's fragrance selection is extremely small and limited, though. You might be better off going to the ULTA heading South on Randall road. The men's fragrance selection is equally small, but carries most of the main brands (sans Chanel). I found the staff to be very helpful each time I've visited, but have never been offered samples in my bag even after very large purchases. I don't know how often this Sephora restocks, but a lot of the popular products (certain colors, etc) tend to be out of stock. I have also purchased a face cream from Korres that was actually separating and smelled old, so I'm not sure if their store is busy enough where the product moves fast enough (unless it's an item that's really popular).. But I might have just had bad luck on that purchase. Overall though, this Sephora is okay and worth stopping in if you need something from any of the brands stocked. If you want to view a bigger selection, stop at the Geneva or Woodfield Sephora.

Small but convenient for fast purchases. Friendly and super…read moresweet staff.
