There is a preference on my file for manufacture for pills. If they would just call the customer and say hey that medication is being discontinued before filling a said prescription under the customers preferences I wouldn't be making a complaint right now. I had called in and spoke to pharmacist Brittany and explained I had an allergic reaction to the manufacturer pills they gave me, which they had a portion of my pills in stock. But gave me a 30 day count instead of 90. Of a different brand. Now they won't reverse my prescription and I have to pay out of pocket $74. That woman says I don't think hallucinations is one of your side effects. I told her I didn't say that I said my skin is itchy and broke out. And her asking me questions and I'm trying to answer them and her just putting me on hold to shut me up when you still are asking me questions, is a bit rude and unprofessional. So I won't be going back. Word of the wise if a customer has a preference use that. Not just stop caring and do your own thing to push pills and get people in and out. Or communicate to the customer, hey we don't have that brand but let me see if another pharmacy has it. That's how you loose business and people go somewhere else. read more

Don't use the pharmacy if you can help it. Every single time I've come in recently, it's the exact same story. "We're really busy right now." And if you call, good luck actually talking to someone. They make you leave a voicemail, which says that they'll get back to you within an hour. There is literally no chance that they'll will get back to you that quickly. I know this isn't necessarily their fault. But it is CVS corporate's fault. They understaff and then expect customers to just deal with it. It's infuriating. read more

If the rating was strictly based on the store experience, I'd give 2 stars. The prices are outrageous and the "deals" are still more on average than other pharmacies. The pharmacy is horrible to work with. They do not send refill reminders when you ask, they refill ones that should not be, and aware if you change doctors. I changed my primary and finally gave up after one year, numerous phone calls, and several stops to get them to change my PCP; they could not. I finally had to switch pharmacies as they could not figure that out. read more

Reviewing immediate care only. Terrible diagnostics. Had severe pharyngitis. They diagnosed "just a cold". Went to another doctor after another day of misery, they diagnosed the severe infection and treated with antibiotics. Don't waste your time here. read more

I do not blame this specific CVS, I blame CVS the corporation. They understaff their pharmacy, their communication skills between locations is terrible, and if they feel like it they just turn off their phones. If your health depends on it do not go to CVS. read more

HeLLo. My experiences here have been good. I thought they did a great job at Christmas and had a lot of unique and fun gifts . What really made my experience there was MELODY, one of the employees working on the register. She always has a great attitude, and on this particular day she left the register and helped me look around the store for a particular limited-supply game they were seLLing at Christmas . She found it in a place that I would have never L ked! She saved Christmas. Employees just don't do what she did anymore! She is what customer service used to be! read more

3 calls and 45 minutes later I drove to the pharmacy to find out why my prescriptions haven't been filled 7 hours after the doctor sent them in. I was told they were short staffed and not answering the phones, but hung up on me. Who hangs up on customers? Terrible service and corporate does NOT care. read more

I made an appointment at the clinic because of COVID LIKE symptoms. They took a COVID test and which came back negative and they told me "treat the symptoms come back in a week if you don't feel better. The woman who saw me listened to my lungs over a shirt and a hoodie and used the pressure of a fly to do so. Never in my life have I felt so neglected as a patient. I am a massive fan of looking at the positives too. The first woman who saw me was very kind and seemed to actually care about me, good job there. There was a fly in my room so I was at least mentally satisfied while my second nurse was asking me the same questions I had answered not five minutes before. Overall this was the worst medical experience I have ever had. Extremely disappointed and unsatisfied with my quality of care. I hope CVS can do something to combat nurses speaking at a whisper and treating patients as if they were a check from the government. read more

This CVS is pretty convenient for me to hit up when heading to and from work. Because of that, I tend to stop in at least once a month to pick up something small. The cashiers have always been friendly and helpful. The store is generally clean and organized. They don't carry everything I go in for (like very specific brands of shampoo or face cream), but usually, there's a good chance I can find something similar to what I need when I drop in! I can't speak on their pharmacy services, but as far as stocking the usual convenience store stock, they do a good job! read more

The management at the Randall Rd, Crystal Lake IL location are extremely rude. I've been there often & I go to print out my coupons on their machine. It's always broken. The machine has to be "reset". Okay... so I wait about 5 minutes every time. Still no coupons ever print out. I will never ever shop at this location again. read more

Plain and simple, the pharmacy staff on June 1,2020 were the nastiest I've ever witnessed. From the pharmacist who apparently thinks he doesn't need any of your medical history to make a judgment on you as a person down to the tech that I initially encountered when I arrived who was far and above the worst I've witnessed. As a Disabled Veteran with many wounds and scars from war and that's been in the VA system long enough to know what poor care is; I'd give the VA 10 stars more than this CVS pharmacy staff. What a disgusting portrayal of an occupation that is supposed to be helpful,caring and the modern day "heroes" during the state we find the world in. I like CVS and the one I go to regularly is amazing. They were out of the medication I needed so they sent me to this one on Randall Rd which was appalling across the board in the pharmacy dept. read more

Went for Covid-19 test, have to stay home from work until results, they didn't tell me will be at least 10 days. Minuteclinc phone number is just a recording, nobody to talk to. They should change name to 15,000 minute clinic. Can't believe how CVS can't make this better. Horrible service. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I have been to plenty of minute clinics and have always had a wonderful experience; but thank you to the crystal lake location for your terrible customer service. The nurse practitioner was beyond rude and acted like it was an inconvenience that she had to speak with me. She was very bossy telling me to not set my purse down next to me and I had to keep moving it all over the room for absolutely no reason. I also grabbed my phone to look up some info in regards to the wellness screening I was getting and she rudely told me to not use my phone....as she was on hers. I'm writing this from the parking lot after leaving. I had to get medication for my son and this was the closest location to us. I was helped by Dustin and he was amazing to deal with. He was helpful, fast and really made sure he connected with me. He did a really great job explaining the medications and exactly how to use them/what to look out for. I can't speak highly enough of his customer service. When leaving, I had a few more things to grab and the two women up front (unfortunately didn't get their names) were equally as friendly and helpful. I'm incredibly impressed with this visit, and would recommend this location to anyone. read more

Went there to pick up my elderly mom's 2 medications, the guy at the drive up window not very friendly, like an attitude.. had only one prescription and said $180.00 WHAT no , said a 90 day supply, asked if he could give me 30,yes, but seemed to him it was a pain and told me to pull back around, well I went inside..........heard him chatting with the pharmacist about my visit, not cool. I asked about 2 second prescription with the pharmacist, she said it wasn't covered by the insurance, asked how much, too expensive so I didn't take it. I guess she didn't like my answer also...... First time there was an attitude there, left walgreens because of their screw ups, but who knows..... read more

I had to get a COVID-19 test and went to this CVS to have the test completed. Went on July 1, as of July 10th still no word on test results. Tried calling and spent over an hour on hold. I understand this is a popular test however; if they cannot get lab results back within a reasonable period of time they shouldn't be offering. My son went to a competitor same day and had his results the next afternoon. Save yourself the headache and stress- go anywhere else but to CVS. read more

Went here for the first time last week. I couldn't wait for mail order processing time My insurance said to just go to any CVS for immediate pick up. Went in and gave the girl the RX. Said I'd wait and was told 10-15 minutes. 20 minutes later I notice the pickup line is getting really long so I get in line. Wait another ten minutes. Finally get to the front and inquire if my prescription is ready. Cashier starts looking all over the place and can't find anything. Finally comes back and says "we called you at home, you can't pick this up until the 14th". Omg. Not their fault of course with insurance issues but I was sitting FIVE FEET away and they called me at home. Oh lord. Went back on the 14th and gave the pickup girl the paper that THEY had previously printed for me. I was told they didn't have anything for me and to go to the drop off line. OMG. I explained I had been told it would be ready for pickup today and they ALREADY had the prescription. Waited 20 minutes and finally recd my prescription. I am very disappointed in this pharmacy. The lack of service is ridiculous. Both in the pharmacy and with management. Hopefully the other one in Crystal Lake will open soon and be MUCH better. Or perhaps I'll stick with Walgreens. They are always personable and very helpful. read more

Went to the Minute Clinic today - wait times were clearly posted and mine was to be 61 minutes but was actually less than 10 minutes - two people who went one online to get "in line" didn't show - so don't let the wait time deter you. Kathy the PA was professional but personable and comforting. Including waiting for my RX I was in the store a total of 25 minutes. read more

For those looking for a Covid test, if you are able to go elsewhere or visit a clinic I would have highly suggest you do so instead. The test being free has been the only upside to this. I understand cases could be higher than usual which could cause delays but it's been over 10 days and I still have not heard anything about my results. I was originally told 2-4 days. I called again and was told 7 days. Once 7 days passed I called for a third time and was told it's now a 10 day wait. 10 days have passed and I'm currently trying to get some kind of information over the phone and have been on hold for over half an hour. At this point, the virus could have already came and gone and the test was basically pointless. read more

The bumbling and fumbling in the store is unbelievable the mistakes they make are unconscionable at the pharmacy counter I'm done now if I could just get them to send the prescriptions back to Walgreens since they refused to do it I would be happy I just left there they filled the medication I did not ask them to fill the reason I did not ask them to Fill it was that I'm allergic to it and found out that I'm allergic to it by taking it in an earlier time so in their attempt to rip off my insurance company they filled the prescription without my permission and in their haste to commit insurance fraud they missed the fact that it was right on their computer that was allergic to it!!! read more

I've been going here for Years and have had some bad experiences but it keeps getting worse!!! I'm speaking about the unbelievable poor attitude that the people in the pharmacy have. The 2 stars is for the front end people that never seem to be infected with the same poor attitude. I can't believe that any company would allow their associates to act in this manner consistently which tells me it starts with the pharmacy management. Closest CVS to me yet I find myself driving a little further to Walgreens because of the smiles. Either drug store has the same stock yet CVS cashiers appear annoyed when you have a question. Not to mention the lines during check out give you the feeling your standing at soldier field for a football game. Actually the lines at soldier field may move faster. read more

DO NOT get your photos developed here. My husband and I had two underwater cameras from our honeymoon that they had to send out to get developed. They said 8-10 days...took SIX WEEKS!! First, I called after two weeks, the girl on the phone said, I had to wait and they would call me. Second, I went in after 3 weeks to talk to someone in person. Zero help there, they didn't know what they were doing or looking for. I was told to check online. Couldn't find anything there. Then, I went in again after about 4 weeks or so and talked to a manager. The manager said that they would call the photo development place and contact me back since he couldn't find anything online. He took my information and didn't hear back from him at all. A week goes by so I call again. This time, talking to another manager. He said that I had to call the CVS photo place. Well, when I called they asked for my store and ID #. CVS had to call them, not me! So I call the manager (Kenny) back and he said he would call (with attitude). When he called me back he said the photos will be sent there within a half an hour and if there were any problems that he would call me. I told him I would pick them up the next day. Next day arrives, I go in and of course....the photos weren't there. Did I get a call from Kenny? No. I get greeted from yet another manager (female, forgot her name) saying "what do you need?" What do I need??? Really? After her attitude, she actually called the photo place right there for me and said she would call me when they were printed, which thankfully she did. After all this I was not offered discounts, coupons, or anything for what I had to go through to get my pictures. Disappointed. Will not be going back to that CVS, not only because the photos took so long, but the customer service was unacceptable. read more

Took my son to the minute clinic this morning. The person in the minute clinic very rude. My son was then called in good thing was a short wait. His visit was less than 10 minutes. Most of which was doing the insurance and him paying. He then told the person that he thought he needed cough medicine and Claritin which was what she gave him. $90 dollars for what!!!! Granted insurance will pay but he could have talked to a computer and OTC meds. We'll be going to see a reputable medical professional in the future. read more

Quite frustrated with our visit to the Minute Clinic. My 16 year old has been sick with a variety of symptoms which we described for the nurse practitioner. When we saw her he had been sick for 5 days with night sweats violent coughing fever (102) sore throat dizziness and blurred vision. She ignored them declared a virus and sent us on our way. The paperwork declared that he was not complaining of multiple symptoms that we described for her. Now- 4 days later he is running a fever of 103 - and we will be at our pediatricians tomorrow. As a side note his father was diagnosed with pneumonia several days before ( which we told her) but I guess that didn't matter. I will not be back to this Minute clinic- the care is substandard from that particular clinician and anyone considering them for care should just go elsewhere. read more

I visited the "minute clinic" and waited for an astounding 1 and a half hours. There was absolutely no clarity on when I would be helped. I was there when the computer originally told me to be there and I was there waiting when I got the alert via text message. The computer screen still said I had to wait for for approximately 40 minutes. It took the physician, KATHLEEN, 1.5 hours to take care of the two patients ahead of me. I finally got a chance to ask KATHLEEN why I have been waiting so long at and she responded in an extremely rude manor. I went into the room and she was extremely unprofessional and impolite. She even proceeded to ask me why I didn't just go to my normal doctor instead. I tried the clinic because I had a simple infection on my skin and thought it could be examined and prescribed something faster. Apparently not. She spent 1.5 hours on two patients ahead of me and proceeded to push me out the door in 5 minutes. And she had the nerve to ask why I didn't see my normal doctor???!? It was extremely uncomfortable for me because KATHLEEN essentially belittled me and was very unwelcoming toward me as a paying customer. I will never return to this store solely because KATHLEEN. It seemed like she was having a bad day and insisted on making mine bad too. Never again will I come back. read more
