When I'm out, life is miserable. When I called to inquire, (they didn't call me to let me know, ) clerk was extremely rude, & grilled me with questions about the medication and my dosage. First, if there are issues with the script, call the doctor, I have no control over that. Second, that issue had nothing to do with the fact that they forgot to order it. When I went to the pharmacy to pick up a partial, I felt physically terrible. I became tearful out of anger and frustration. The clerk I had just spoken to on the phone looked at me, laughed and rolled her eyes. I need to say that again. I was crying, she laughed and rolled her eyes. I completed my purchase and left. I was so rattled I waited three days to approach pharmacy manager to discuss calmly. This is what happened: First, she raved about the kind and loving employee. Second, she mumbled a three second apology. Third, she said there were notations in my file where in the past I had been "belligerent."This also has nothing to do with their failure to order on time. FYI the "belligerent"episode, which had occurred about a year prior, happened because the pharmacy failed again to order on time, so I would be in active withdrawal from OxyContin cold turkey for 24 to 48 hours post-surgery. I asked her if under those circumstances she might be upset. Blank stare. Finally, she says if I'm unhappy, I can go someplace else. In a way, her behavior was even more unsettling than her clerk's. She had heard about the situation before I came in so she was aware and had time to reflect. She lectured me like I was a child called into the principal's office, making it clear she did not give one flying flip about the customer. She has plenty of those and doesn't need me, this is true. But I was still hoping she would do the right thing. I was looking for "I'm sorry you had a bad experience. That was unacceptable." How did we get to this place as a culture when these people who deal everyday with folks who are seriously ill, some terminally, think it's OK to be absolutely horrible? When sometimes life is such a struggle that you become emotional, it's OK for someone to laugh at you? If you use that pharmacy you should know that if you are having a bad day, some body that could be your grandchild, without input or supervision, can mark your file with their own opinion, and that notation stays there. Then later if you ever have a problem, they'll use that and throw it in your face to avoid accountability. Sad.

I had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had in a long time at Sam's…read moreClub. I had a tire repair appointment and realized I was going to be about 30 minutes late. Before making the drive, I tried calling the tire center to let them know and see if they could still accommodate me. I sat on hold for over 10 minutes and never got through to anyone. Since I couldn't reach the department, I drove to the store anyway. I'm a disabled customer whose mobility varies from day to day. Depending on the situation, I may use one cane, two canes, a wheelchair, or a motorized scooter. When I arrived, I used one of the store's motorized scooters to get from the entrance to the tire center. After making the trip, I was informed that because I was late, they would not be able to service my vehicle. While I understand that appointments have schedules, it was incredibly frustrating knowing that a simple phone call could have saved me the drive and effort had someone actually answered the phone. Unfortunately, that wasn't even the worst part of the experience. After learning my tire would not be repaired, I attempted to return the motorized scooter near the entrance closest to my vehicle. My car was parked directly across from that entrance, making it the safest and shortest walk for me. An employee stopped me and insisted that I take the scooter all the way around to a different exit that was significantly farther away from my vehicle. I explained multiple times that I am disabled, that I use a cane, and that my car was literally right in front of me. I wasn't shopping, carrying merchandise, or attempting to misuse the scooter. I simply wanted to take the most accessible route back to my vehicle. Despite this, the employee continued arguing with me and repeatedly insisted that I walk the longer distance. What made the interaction even more upsetting was the complete lack of empathy. As someone who is still working hard to regain mobility and independence, being told to walk farther when a closer accessible option was right in front of me felt incredibly dismissive. Several customers nearby appeared just as confused by the interaction as I was. This experience wasn't just inconvenient--it was disheartening. Accessibility isn't just about having scooters available; it's about treating disabled customers with understanding, respect, and common sense. Between the tire center not answering its phones and the way I was treated afterward, I left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and unwelcome. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because no customer should leave feeling the way I did, especially one who is already navigating physical challenges just to get through their day.
