We all got full sets, and my niece and her friend were thrilled with theirs they couldn't wait to show them off to their classmates! I'll be honest I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to nail shapes or maintenance, so I've relied heavily on Ann (and Google) for guidance. My first set was actually done by the gentleman Ann works with, since she was doing my niece's and her friend's nails. The set looked great, but three days later I broke my left middle nail and it looked off. I popped back in, and Ann fixed it right away using dip powder at what I thought was a very low price! My sister and mom later confirmed she'd actually undercharged me compared to what they usually pay elsewhere. A week later, I was on a work trip and caught my right middle nail, snapping it clean off. When I got back into town, I stopped by again. Ann was with another customer, but she still found time to squeeze me in between steps -- sanitizing and re-gloving each time just to help me out (which honestly meant a lot, especially since I have anxiety about inconveniencing people). She fixed it perfectly, and those nails lasted another week and a half before I came in for a fill. After explaining that I wanted to go shorter and that I wasn't loving the acrylic feel, Ann listened and redid my entire set with dip powder instead they came out amazing. One thing I really appreciate about her is how honest and straightforward she is about maintenance. She always lets me know when I actually need a fill versus when I can wait a bit longer, which shows how much she cares about her clients rather than just making a sale. I also recently had a pedicure with her which was a bit nerve-wracking for me since I'm very particular about my feet but Ann made me feel completely at ease. She explained every step, checked in often, and made the experience surprisingly relaxing. I left super happy with how my toenails looked. If you're looking for someone who's kind, patient, detail-oriented, and genuinely cares about doing right by her clients, I can't recommend Ann enough. I'm so glad I stumbled in that day now I can't imagine going anywhere else!

It really is a good spot to buy your boozes if you want something other than Mad Dog 20/20. Matter of fact they are one of the few places that you can purchase Guinness in McIntosh County. The Darien Pig while bigger usually does not have Guinness. All the employees here are friendly and always willing to help you find what you need. You usually don't have to wait in line very long and they bag your groceries with a smile. The laid back coastal attitude can be felt here. Prices are a little high at this Pig. The do have a monopoly on the market. The only other store around is Dollar General. Make sure to get a PFC card. One other big tip, you might want to give the Pig a call before you head up to buy groceries if it's after 9 p.m. Over the years the Pig's hours have changed. I'm not sure how late they stay open these days. During the Christmas season this Piggly Wiggly always has great deals on Christmas trees.

Short story, I went into this salon in Walmart wanting to get a simple haircut that kept my length and some bangs. The person who did my hair, I do not know their name but she was a white woman, had a thin figure, and had rectangle-like glasses. I told her over twice that I wanted to keep my length and have some thin bangs only a little above my eyes. This person even after seeing the reference photo many times. Did my hair in the completely opposite direction. She shaved down the back of my head and when I tried to communicate about the length she was too busy talking and joking with her other coworkers and kept shifting me around and pushing my head down every time I tried to straighten my head like your supposed to when getting the certain style and cut I was asking for. That I started to feel anxious about speaking up about what she was doing wrong. When she got to my bangs she just immediately just pulled thick stains of hair and chopped off in the middle of my forehead extremely quickly. Even after telling her about my cow lick and the way my natural hair parted and how I wanted thin whispy bangs a little above my eyes. At that point, I was too anxious and upset to speak up. Which on my part was my fault for not stirring up some kind of confidence to stop her and say that she was not doing what I asked for. When the haircut was finished I then told her that my hair was way too short and that I said to cut a little above my eyes, not above my eyebrows. She immediately realized that she did my hair completely wrong and did not apologize after but instead stood there awkwardly and waited until I was ready to pay. Even if you have to travel a bit farther or spend a bit more money, Do it. if it means getting the cut that you want and being in a place that will make you comfortable and not anxious about not being listened to and ruining your hair.

Three of us had cuts and styles today. The ladies were very nice, took their time, and did great…read morework. They didn't rush to get through, and it was obvious they wanted to do a good job. We're very happy with our experience at the salon today. Don't discount this salon just because it's in Walmart.
