This is the most horrible store available in the Hagerstown area. I have dealt with them only because they have weekend hours but crap on that. They tell you a script will be filled but 2 days later they still dont even have the medication. Crazy. They lie to not have to confront the lack of management in the pharmacy and the people are rude. I suggest you use another pharmacy loca t ion such as Antietam which are much more organized and friendly. read more

Worst pharmacy in the United States. I have an auto immune disease and a special needs child so I unfortunately deal with a lot of medications and pharmacists. For the past 3 years this is what I've had to deal with EVERY SINGLE TIME: -The 2 heavy set African American female cashiers don't care about any of the customers or their job- and have no problem telling you the customer or their boss which has been an elderly Indian gentleman or an elderly Asian woman that. -Does not matter what time or what day you go in, there is a line of pissed off customers all of them leaving shaking their heads in frustration. -Dr will call in a prescription to be filled and they say they 'never received it' which turns into an all day affair of my doctors office having to call the pharmacy repeatedly and threaten them to fill it. -They send an auto generated message saying your prescription is ready, but it's usually not because 'the truck hasn't delivered it yet and we don't know when it will arrive try again in 3 days' or 'we're busy sorry maybe tomorrow' or 'sorry it has a prior authorization call your Dr' -After being treated so rudely by staff my wife refused to deal with them anymore. Last visit she made her phone died having to complain to the doctor about their unprofessionalism. The pharmacy refused to let her use the phone to sort it out. A gentleman behind her let my wife use his phone and yelled at them on her behalf(his sister used to work there and quit due to management apparently) -The pharmacist/ manager either doesn't care about all these problems or they are just completely incompetent. The cashier's literally yell and laugh at them. -The list could keep going but it's not worth my or your time. I've already been stripped of a month or more of my life dealing with this place. Following the advice of Walgreens corporate office/ my Dr/ my sons Dr/ my wife's Dr/ the Better Business bureau/ other Pharmacists in town/ and every other customer at Walgreens I have met along this slow death march of something so simple as picking up a prescription- we will never set foot in this godforsaken train wreck that I'm convinced is nothing more than a sick experiment in how to ruin people's lives while denying them the medicine they pay for and need. I highly recommend calling Walgreens corporate and voicing your opinion which hopefully will result in this pharmacy being completely restructured. read more

Well there is definitely a reason this Walgreens has one star. I came here just to buy Flintstones with Iron chewable vitamins. I was searching where they would be and the lady at the pharmacy asked if she could help. I explained what I was looking for and she was absolutely clueless. She went and got the pharmacist. The pharmacist proceeded to tell me they do not make those. I told her they absolutely do make them and I had ordered them online already but just wanted to get some while waiting on shipping. She then questioned me as to why I thought I needed to take iron. I explained I was anemic and the actual iron pills make me sick so this was the best suggestion my doctor had for the time being. The pharmacist told me that was not even logical and again told me they don't make the Flintstones with iron. I just said ok and left. It's pretty alarming that the pharmacist did no research on what I was saying, just wanted to argue instead. Horrible service. First they tell me my sons prescription is not ready, then they tell me they don't accept my insurance, which is funny because I myself just recently filled a prescription with the same insurance. Then when i become mad, suddenly they take my insurance and can fill one prescription but are out of the other. Called my sons doctor because we were only told about one prescription and sure enough the dr. only sent in 1 prescription so who knows what or who else's medication they wanted to give my son. 2 minutes ago *******ATTENTION NEEDED******On 7/ 25 I went into this Walgreens to pick up my phentermine. I handed the man my good Rx coupon and he stated they cant except coupons on controlled substances. I asked since when and told him that's incorrect as I have used it many times before. He said.the policy changed and I asked to see it in writing. He then Went to the back to talk to the pharmacists and a lady approched to say they don't. I asked for there district mangers info. The store number and the pharmacists name. The lady then told me it's at pharmacists discretion. *******IF THATS NOT DISCRIMINATION I DONT KNOW WHAT IS****** How can you choose who gets a discount ? Finally they call dual hwy who said they do take it and she apologized for being wrong. As she proceeds to take payment and hand me the bag I asked why are you not checking my ID. She had no clue that the day before when I dropped the script off no one asked to check my ID ON A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE!!! She claimed she wasn't done with my order yet and pretended to check it. THIS WALGREENS NEEDS TO BE TRAINED. I hope the district manger pulls the camera tape and calls me for feedback as im going to report them to the highest level. This Walgreens Pharmacy is fantastic. They often have, or can get, the prescriptions needed for me, where other pharmacies fail. They also go the extra mile, for a RX that wasn't covered by my insurance, by giving me a coupon for a discounted price. I love this pharmacy! read more

My mom dropped off her prescription today at this Walgreens. First the drive-thru was not working. Drawer was broken. She had to go inside, and she was not feeling well. Then we went back to pick it up, and it was very busy. Got in line. Got to the check out, and she said that it's not ready yet it will be 10 to 15 min., so we went to the waiting area. As we sat there waiting and watching all the people coming in after us, and their names coming up on the board that their prescription is ready. My moms name never came up, so after about 15min of watching all these other people that came in after us get their prescriptions. I went to the counter too find out what was going on. She told me my moms prescriptions were ready, and I asked her why my moms name did not come up on the board. She really did not have a answer for me. I will say the young girl did apologize that we had waited so long. The other thing they did wrong was my moms prescriptions were narcotics, and they did not ask either time for id. I live in North Carolina and I use Walgreens down there, and they are great. I have never seen such a unorganized, unprofessional bunch of people at this pharmacy. I would give this location no stars if I could. I dropped off a prescription last Friday went to pick it up yesterday (a week later). The pharmacy tech let's me know "it still is out of stock." I was never told it was out of stock when I dropped it off. I looked at him and said excuse me. He says "wait a minute and let me check." Comes back and says it is in stock and it'll take 15 minutes to fill. No phone letting me know it was ever out of stock, no phone call saying it will be delayed... When I dropped it off I should've went elsewhere (no idea where) because of they way the lady acted when I said I wanted to transfer my prescriptions to this location (which I'm no longer doing) she said ok. Looks at the computer screen and asked if I wanted them all filled. When I said no. She said "you can called them into here as you want each one." The location on Dual Highway has called 3 times asking if I'd like 3 month automatic refill on all my medications and yet they never do it. CVS here is awful (Put down I'm allergic to things when I'm not. Stopped medications I'm taking on a regular basis and had tp have my doctor refax all medications to them.) so not any other pharmacy to use with a drive thru. *heavy sigh* read more

If at all possible, I would give Walgreens zero stars. I can not help what other people do and I know there is a terrible opioid epidemic but let's get real, if it's not opioids it would be something else. I take issue with Walgreens for allowing their pharmacists and other employees to be prejudice and discriminative. A pharmacist whom never met me said she would not fill my prescription because she wanted to save my life. This woman has never walked in my shoes. She has no idea what I have to live with. The pain that has ruined my life continues to drag me down. Because I am unfortunate enough to suffer with chronic pain, I am also labeled a drug addict. Even though I was prescribed these medications, I take my medications only as directed, I do not share or sell, this woman has the right to play God with my life and cause me more pain and agony. She was able to bring her personal judgement to work, which is highly unethical. These pharmacies should be sentenced to a life of pain and agony for the way law abiding citizens are treated. I do not understand how this is not discrimination! There should be a class action law suit against those who abuse their position of power just like any other criminal. read more
