Stopped into this Walgreens for the first time to grab tooth brush heads and a skin cream with salicylic acid. In less than 5 minutes of being in the store, I noticed a female employee with short brown hair following me around multiple aisles as I tried to find the skin cream. For the first two aisles I thought it was a coincidence, and decided to test it by quickly walking to another aisle. Sure enough, not even a minute passed and she was at the end of the aisle, "fixing" something, and glancing over her shoulder at me. She never approached me to ask if I needed help with finding anything, she kept a distance yet close enough to still see me. For context I'm a white woman and I was wearing sweats and a mostly plain navy crew neck...I might not look the most polished today, but do you have to be in order to browse through the skin care without being watched? It's a shame, could only find a cream that matched what I needed for $50 and I was ready to panic/defeat buy it till I picked up on what was happening. Only left with the tooth brush heads, decided not to spend any extra money in there than what I needed. The cherry on top was turning around at the exit after checking out (paying customer! Gasp!) and seeing her intensely checking one of the aisles I went down, and then look up to see me leave. To the woman who followed me in the store: Ma'am, whoever you are, I just got done crying in my car to Shania Twain, and tbh I didn't know what was up or down, let alone where anything was in the very confusing skin care layout. I'm a libra, I get overwhelmed with decisions, and I need time to think them over. You were hella obvious and kinda rude for not just asking if I needed help, I did. read more

I have had nothing but good experiences at the Walgreens on Cascade Rd and Forest Hills Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI. Last time I was there the woman checking me out at the pharmacy went out of her way to help me. She volunteered the help, I didn't ask, I realize the drive-thru has some slow times. When I needed to have a Covid test, I realized why. This process takes much longer than just picking up medicine. It can't be helped. I was grateful for a drive-thru Covid test so close to home. If I am in a hurry, I get out of drive-thru line and go in the store. All other times in the rest of the store - the staff are always pleasant and helpful. Sometimes I order online, for store pick-up. This is handy. The photo shop is handy too. Bottom line, I'm grateful for all the services offered by this very convenient store! Thank you! P.S. I wonder if the bad reviews were written about another branch of Walgreens. They don't ring true for me! read more

This is the slowest and worst pharmacy I have ever been to. I have called and complained to the manager numerous times and nothing seems to have changed. I would go to another pharmacy but am a single mom and I can't leave my kids in the car to get my scripts. I am typing this while I have been waiting for over 20 min in lone with probably 10 cars behind me. Mind you, this is my lunch break and I have to be back in 10 for a meeting at work. read more

Treated poorly. Out of one prescription. Every time i auto fill a prescription they are out. Scripts sent by doctor and then they blame the doctor and I now confirm with the doctor and watch him send over the prescription and they still blame the doctor. No ownership when they make a mistake. They are too big and too busy to care. read more

Definitely going to be my last time filling a prescription here. After the first bad experience I've had here when I was told my prescription would be filled by a certain time to then later find out they never had the prescription in stock I figured I'd give them another chance. literally every time I filled a prescription here something has been wrong. Either they didn't have it available or they told me it would be available by a certain time when I called ahead and they still wouldn't have it ready. I even tried enrolling a prescription into the auto-refill to see if that helped and somehow that made it worse. They never refilled it like it was supposed to be and again they didn't have it available, but never let me know through the texts I enrolled in so I had to find out by calling after it was already supposed to be filled. very friendly staff, but this location does NOT have it together read more

I was surprised and very disappointed when I visited this store today regarding pricing. I just came from the local grocery (Forest Hills Foods) across the street to buy Tiger Balm. Unfortunately they ran out. Their price for the Tiger Balm was $5.99. Knowing that Walgreens was across the street I went there expecting that they would have it and for the same price. Walgreens had it for $8.99??!!!???!! Huh?? I pointed this out to the cashier and to the manager but they simply said they do not price match. I just did not understand this. Apparently, Walgreens does not price match? Forgert price match! How about something that makes sense. From the other yelp review I guess customer service is NOT their thing. Terrible experience. If I knew Walgreens was this type of store I would have voted against their building in my neighborhood. Too bad. I am not going to any Walgreens anymore. I'll stick with the tried and true - Forest Hills Foods and their Pharmacy. read more

This is quite possible the WORST Walgreens you will ever go to. Although I have never had a direct problem with one of the staff members, their costumer service is absolutely terrible. I had to go 4 different times in the span of 3 days in order to receive a simple prescription my doctor called in a week ago. Do not listen to the text messages that say " your prescription is ready." Call the store and speak to a pharmacist directly before driving all the way there just to learn it is in fact NOT READY. A few months ago, I came down with a really bad case of the Flu. I had to go to Walgreens in order to pick up a prescription. I had to go inside with a mask, because the drive through was piled up with at least 10 cars. I received a text message that told me that my prescription was ready to pick up, so I drove there. When I got there, not only had my script not been filled yet, but I had to wait at least 45 minutes in line to even speak to someone. I was wearing a mask, however I could be exposing everyone in the waiting room while waiting for my script. I spent at least an hour total waiting for them to fill it while having a 101 fever. Not only that, but the prices are OUTRAGEOUS. I will come here for some simple hygiene products, and my total will come out to 50 dollars. This used to be a very good Walgreens, in fact my family and I have been going here for over a decade. Unfortunately it has gone so downhill I don't think I will ever come back for a prescription. If you are looking for a good Walgreens or pharmacy, I highly recommend the one on cascade roads and 28th street. They are very fast and friendly. read more

One of the pharmacists did a good job persisting thru an insurance issue. I appreciate their persistence. it was somewhat complex and she spent a lot of time on phone with my insurance carrier to resolve the issue. It was odd because I witnessed a poor exchange with another customer. A lady had come in and was asking if they knew the nearby location of an urgent care. The technician was abrupt and not helpful at all. She said this is not a clinic and she did not live here and said she didn't know. She made no attempt to ask the other pharmacists standing 15 feet from her or any other employee for the location of a nearby urgent care. A simple google search of urgent care locations would have solved the problem. This was definitely out of character for a Walgreens pharmacy. The Pharmacist who was on the phone with my insurance carrier was not aware of this exchange. That was too bad because she would have helped I think and because technician should have been made aware of her poor performance issue. read more

Don't bother with the pharmacy here. They certainly do not bother with their customers. Horrible customer service. Uncaring.

Great selection and exceptionally clean, this Walgreen's aims to please all customers. Some friendly staff and great pharmacy workers. Could use some better training for cashiers and photo employees to be more engaging. Convenient location, average prices for a quick stop shop. No disappointments here no matter what you're stopping for. read more

Walgreens - the front of a walgreens pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Grand Rapids, Michigan

I went to the Walgreens listed below today 12/12/15 and sat in the drive thru line for 15 minutes with someone else/car ahead of me. Just as it turned 6pm (closing time) the gal switched the light off and finished up with the car shortly after. As I pulled up hoping to pick up my prescription that I sat in line for with 3 toddlers in the backseat, there was no intention of assisting me. Fortunately, the gal walked past and picked up the phone to tell me very annoyed that they were closed. I told her I had been sitting in th line and was disappointed to be acknowledged this as and to cancel my order (even though I really need it - I'd rather not be treated this way and go to rite aid). Very disappointed, I can't be the first to have had this happen! 4550 Cascade Rd SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546 United States read more

Very clean everything organized the staff was friendly 2 people asked me if I needed service. Would return

I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription my doctor had just sent over. I was surprised that they had it all ready for me and there was no one in line! Very friendly staff and pharmacist told me to take med with food. Very nice, most pharmacists don't take the time to tell you those things. Would definitely recommend this pharmacy!! The store was clean and organized, well taken care of. read more
