Friendly Staff/ being allergic to so many pain meds & Antibotics they made something I am not allergic too

Keystone has figured out how to provide a wide breadth of needs with a small personal feel. I only visit a few times a year, but am greeted with a smile and the feeling of a hug each visit. There are an abundance of options to make them your pharmacy of choice- and if they don't right now just give them a day or two. If you don't like feeling special for no reason of all, choose another establishment. But if you want a more personal experience this is the place for you to get those anti hypertensive pills or vitamins. read more

Based on my personal opinion and experience, DO NOT use this pharmacy!! There are to many issues to explain individually from rude employees, not having prescriptions ready on time, arbitrarily changing my prescription to generic, the list goes on and on but the real issue is price gouging!!! I now buy my prescription, name brand, not generic, for 500% (that is not a type-O, 500%) less than what Keystone charges for generic. They nickle and dime you on everything. It is called Greed!!! I am fortunate enough to be able to afford this but, i see other customers who are not and/or their Insurance company is footing the bill and that affects all of us. Absolutely outstanding pharmacy. The way pharmacies used to be before they turned into big corporations, who work hourly and don't really care anymore about customer service. This pharmacy really bent over backwards for me and was highly responsive and extremely quick. It is a night and day difference than working with Rite Aid or Walgreens. Keystone pharmacy had been providing pain medication for our miniature dachshund for the past few years. They were always friendly and quick whenever he needed refills and I enjoyed browsing around the store when it was time to pick them up. We lost our dog to kidney failure before Christmas and at the time he had a refill pending. I thought our vet would cancel it but they didn't so I had to let Keystone know when they called that it was ready that our dog had passed. I felt bad considering that his medication was specially compounded just for him but the attendant on the phone was so apologetic and gracious. I thought that was the end of things but this past Friday we received a thoughtful, handwritten card from them expressing their sympathy and offering their condolences. (our vets office didn't even do that!) It was so touching and meant so much. It really showed that they care for their clients. read more

Because they are a compounding pharmacy, and we couldnt find an agreeable one in Metro Detroit, I thought I'd try Keystone and see if they would mail my scripts. It's been a few months and they've been so prompt and professional. Today I had questions about CBD oil. I was put through to Carol, and she was so nice and knew so much about the oil. I've been a customer of Keystone for 16 years. They've been wonderful and Dave, the owner, is just the best. They've helped me out in times of trouble. But recently, I've had some issues that could be due to an increase of new employees? I'm not certain. I get compounded medications from Keystone and they are meds that I have to take every day at the same time of day and I can't skip any without consequences. They require 24 advance notice. If they already have the prescriptions, they are supposed to get them ready the day they are due. They have done this without fail for years. But I always call a day or more in advance to remind them to make some up. I always get the same prescriptions but they rarely have any made up ahead of time. Several months ago, I went in to pick up my prescriptions and they didn't even have them on the list to be filled. I understand people make mistakes. Unfortunately, it was a Saturday so I had to take less of my medication to make it to Monday. Then a couple of months after that, I brought in the prescriptions and after 48 hours they only had partial of both ready. I live 45 minutes away so it's not as convenient to just pop in. Again, I realize people get busy. When they had an employee who lived nearby drop the rest off, that was great. Then this month, I called on a Thursday and said I was bringing in the prescriptions the following day so that they had time to make some up. I brought them in and they said they had some of one but just 10 of the other already made up. So I said I'd be back the following day...Saturday...to get the full prescriptions. I went back Saturday and no one had made more. Because they were closed on Monday, I had to wait until Tuesday to get the rest. Mind you, all they gave me on the day I ran out...Saturday...was 10. I take five a day. So Tuesday rolls around and I would have thought this would have been one of the first filled. No. Until I called to find out if they were ready, they didn't even know they were supposed to fill the rest of the prescriptions. All three of these incidents have happened in the past year...maybe even less time than that. I don't know where the communication is getting messed up but there's a problem there somewhere and they are too good to ignore issues like this. Because even though I suffer without the meds, there might be some people in even worse shape when they don't get their compounded meds. read more

Very nice and professional people that seem to genuinely want to help you. They know their products, and after they to get to know you they are even friendlier than they were before. (Which takes a lot of effort!) There also one of the few pharmacies around that does compounding. read more

In January, 2018 I went to have a compound prescription prepared. I am on Medicare and Priority Health. I was told it was not covered. Each suppository was $5.80 each. I only could afford 10 at the time. The medication was for pain. I put off ordering anymore until yesterday and I complained to my doctor and she said to try the Chemist Shop. The same compound was 30 for $19! The VERY same. I called Keystone and the said they had additional expenses, extra special compound, medical compound "checkers"! I should "understand" that the were the best! Really? Buyer beware, these people have expensive attitude. read more

Communication isn't the best. Received a phone call the day before that a script was called in, told the person on the phone I would be in THE NEXT DAY to pickup only to find I had to wait 25 minutes at the end of the day for something that hadn't even been started. NOT HAPPY!!! read more
