I got multiple calls to pick up a prescription, went a soon as I could, went out of my way to get there. Once there I saw a hand written sign saying the pharmacy was "temporarily closed" at 4:00, about 5 minutes before I got there. After asking a couple of staff members who didn't know why, a 3rd one said the pharmacist called in to cancel his/her shift and no replacement could be found. EXTREMELY frustrating as I'd JUST gotten a reminder call to go to the pharmacy! Hard to believe that in a national chain, a replacement couldn't be found. read more

I love this Walgreens. The staff is always so nice. The store is very clean. I definitely prefer this over CVS for selection and prices.

This location was a convenient location to take our passport photos. Staff was ok, not the friendliest, but they did help us out. The cost of the photos for what we got was crazy expensive. $36 for passport pics of my wife and I, that's abusive in my opinion. Not happy about that at all. read more

The pharmacy's immunization program is absolutely horrible!!! I arranged an appointment to get a COVID booster. My appointment was set for 10am in the morning. I received numerous texts reminding me to arrive 15 minutes prior to my appointment, which I did. I even received a text the morning of my appointment. After waiting in line we'll past the time of my appointment, I was informed by the pharmacy tech that they did not have the vaccine, and that I would have to reschedule my appointment. The tech also told me she wasn't able to help with rescheduling my call and that I had to do it myself. She also said she couldn't let me know when the vaccines would be available and that I would need to call back later in the day to determine if the vaccine had I arrived. I called 3-times and was placed on perpetual hold each time and never was able to connect with a live person to find out if the vaccines had ever arrived. I work in healthcare, and this experience is one of the worst forms of customer care I've experienced in a longtime. I don't recommend Walgreens as a means for getting your routine immunizations. It's system is antiquated, customer adverse, and a huge waist of time! To add insult to injury, all the prerequisite forms I completed on line had to be completed, again, because the Walgreens system could not retrieve them! Again, DON'T USE WALGREENS ON CAMP BOWIE @ HULEN for immunizations unless you're OK with being treated without care and consideration! read more

We all know that being sick sucks. Well, being sick while waiting for the rude Walgreens staff sucks even worse. Especially after you have put your prescriptions into their online system, and have received a confirmation that they were going to be ready. Which for some reason, could not be found by their staff, despite us showing them the email confirmation. Then, instead of calling it out to the doc who wrote the script for the meds, we must produce the paper copy. Save yourself a headache, and three trips through the drive thru. All of the other reviews are spot on. This is the slowest pharmacy on the face of the planet. I routinely wait at least 45 minutes before I even get to the counter. Then, you're lucky if you're acknowledged. On the worst of occasions, the customer behind me decided she was privy to my medical information and thought she'd just stand next to me at the counter while I waited on my prescriptions to be processed. Neither the pharmacy technician or the STORE MANAGER said a word until I called her out. Furthermore, I fill out the survey every time I pick up my prescriptions and tell them how awful they are and why. There is zero professionalism here. You never know if you're going to get your prescriptions filled, how much they're going to charge you, or if you get to use your health insurance this month. I always promise myself I'm going to change pharmacies the next month, because these people are truly the worst. read more

I had a 6pm appointment for a flu shot. Checked in at 5:55 and didn't receive the required paperwork for 10 minutes, then waited another 10 minutes for them to accept said paperwork. That was 20 minutes ago and I still have not received my shot. read more

If you are really, REALLY unlucky like me and have blue cross insurance and have to get your prescriptions filled here, find a cash price somewhere else or get new insurance. Seriously. This pharmacy has to be the slowest one in the entire area, and they are always way too understaffed to have a drive through. He argued with me about medications prescribed as part of an infertility treatment, misfilled the initial prescription, and when I went back to correct it was incredibly rude and bombastic towards me - ultimately refusing to fill it correctly. I picked up a prescription for my sick daughter and you now have to purchase advil cold and sinus medication in the pharmacy and show your ID, that is not the problem here. She was rude and so I paid and then parked in the rain and walked inside. She ignored me for a little while and then I asked for what I needed and she then tells me they don't have it in stock. Only came here to get a prescription filled and did not have a good experience. It's been a week since I dropped off my prescriptions, and decided to stop by today to see if it was ready. Apparently my doctor did not put a dosage on one of my prescriptions, but the instead of alerting me to the issue, the staff just told me it wasn't ready and I needed to call my doctor. I feel like they should have called me to let me know there was an issue instead of just sitting on it. Secondly, a separate prescription I had filled - I walked out, opened the bag and saw a different brand than I'm used to. I walked back inside and was rudely told that they were the same drugs, just different names. I said I didn't want to switch, but I was dismissed by the lady working the counter because apparently they don't stock the one that was actually on my order. Overall, a total headache to deal with them. I'm taking all of my prescriptions elsewhere from now on. read more

This is my neighborhood Walgreens and as such, I keep going back despite abysmal service. The pharmacy never seems to have their volume under control and the staff often look confused. Not what I want from those dispensing my drugs. The drive-thru is often a train wreck - I've had to wait 30 minutes because "they wait on inside customers first". Perhaps they shouldn't have two outside drive-thru lanes if they don't wish to service them. On my last visit, I had to have a drug special ordered because they don't stock it. So I came back two days later per their advice. Waited 30 minutes to be helped and only THEN did they tell me that my insurance did not cover the drug. Not very proactive customer service. The photo counter is not much better - it's often un-staffed and service there is also slow. I prefer Walgreens to CVS but the CVS down the street has much better service and always seems to be able to handle requests quickly! read more

Be vary wary of ordering your prescriptions online. I ordered a refill on a Monday morning, paid $20 for overnight shipping and as of Wednesday afternoon it hasn't even shipped yet. I spoke to customer service and they told me that it was my fault for not understanding what overnight means. read more

As a previous review states, this is the closest neighborhood pharmacy; therefore, I go. After today's experience, I will make the time to use CVS for all my medical and sundry needs. Twice, my doctor has had to call the pharmacist personally because they don't have the capability of receiving faxes. On several other occasions, I have had to demand that the tech check the fax log only for them to find that the fax was indeed received and was never filled. Using the drive through...don't bother. A short wait is 17 mins. I have made a little game out of using the timer on my iphone to time the staff. 17 was while only one car in addition to mine was at the drive through. Inside waits aren't much better. 20-30 mins is common...why bother calling in refills? At least the customers in line have each other to complain to. Employees completely ignore any one who questions them. Today, an old lady got out of her car and used her prescriptions as a flag at the window until someone acknowledged her, not waited on her. Of course the majority of the staff was deeply involved in the matter of a customer who brought in two prescriptions which were filled incorrectly. Instead of concern for the patient, the staff was busy determining fault and discussing whether of not the customer had actually paid for the meds because they didn't have their receipt with them. I have seen one manager in 10 years. When I asked to speak to him about his department, he became very busy, very suddenly and couldn't really talk. Thank you Walgreens, Camp Bowie. I'm leaving to go back to Walgreens because my doctor called to say that she had spoken directly to the pharmacist regarding my prescription. read more

CVS is so close to this place and much nicer. I only come here in a pinch! Unless it's near Halloween. In October they have a ridiculous amount of awesome Halloween decorations. I go nuts. Love it! Do not use this pharmacy.... On my most recent bad experience (this is definitely not my first) it took a full week for them to fill a prescription I currently use. I had a coupon for the brand name version making the total $3. Apparently, I couldn't use it anymore (even though the coupon said I had 6 more uses) and no one had the courtesy to let me know (a phone would have taken 5 minutes). So I got stuck buying brand name full price instead of the $10 generic. When I told staff their customer service has gone down hill, she became snarky and overly sweet to the lady right behind me. After being treated terrible at another store the ladies at this store were kind and got my issue sorted right out. They were polite and got my medicine out super quick and didn't ask a bunch of questions when I chose to pay and not use my insurance.
