Worst pharmacy I think I've ever been too in my life... the staff are absolutely horrible at their job, I have never gotten through the pharmacy in less than 20-30 minutes. I want to preface this by saying that I've never had a bad experience with the rest of the staff inside the store but there is absolutely no way they can make up for just how bad the pharmacy staff are. The pharmacy staff have such a bad attitude that you'd think they hate their job and are trying to run the place into the ground on purpose. They are extremely rude and incompetent at their job, they never have prescriptions ready when you get the notification that they are or they just flat out don't seem to have the request for it. The line in store is absurd and the drive through line is even worse, it's so bad that it regularly gets to the point where it blocks the flow of traffic going to other businesses form the main road. It's straight up dangerous and they have no care in the world when you do finally make it to the window. There is one African American lady who works there who always gives you nasty looks if you are inside and will always huff and puff and smirk at you when you ask questions in the drive through window, it's just an awful experience dealing with her. If you care about professionalism and would actually like the tedious prescription process to not be any more difficult then please go to CVS. If Walgreens even cares at all they should completely replace the entire pharmacy staff. read more

im 100% sure that when my DR. calls in a prescription, Walgreen's pharmacy will say they never received it! EVERY SINGLE TIME! Today, i watched my doctor send it, yet AGAIN, "they never received it". I HAD SURGERY AND NEED MY PRESCRIPTION. That's the only place i can go with my insurance. Ill be choosing, partly, my insurance based on the pharmacy i can use. Just had the best experience with an associate named Sam!! she was talking to another customer on the phone and just having the sweetest interaction helping her proactively with a project and then was just so uplifting it put me automatically in a good mood. The store itself seems ok, but the pharmacy is the worst I've ever experienced! I've tried three times and it's always bad. I won't go back. The Rx on the app aren't updated, don't bother calling because they do not answer. Meds always out of stock but they don't notify you. Need an insurance approval? You'll never know until you go there in person. I recently went a month without my meds. They're understaffed and undertrained on processes. I had my doctors call everything into Amazon and it's been great. Adios, Walgreens! read more

I've never felt compelled to leave a review for any pharmacy, but this Walgreens location is unbelievably terrible. I usually have to call a minimum of 5+ times to successfully refill my prescription, every single month (for ~2 years+ now) Maybe this location is understaffed? I'm not sure... Go elsewhere. Scrips are NEVER ready when promised. Always short staffed, always a line at the pharmacy. Checking in the app is pointless- if you simply wait to see a scrip filled in there you'll die first from whatever condition you need your medication for. read more

This is without doubt the worst Walgreens I have ever been in. They are slow inefficient, don't care very much about their customer base. I've even had the wrong prescription issue to me at one point and they covered it up. They need to fire everybody in the store and get a whole new staff that has some work ethics. Wait time is consistently over 30 minutes in line: not enough employees- they rotate from drive thru window to inside counter instead of having one person for each counter. Calling ahead??? It always so nice to have drug store close by with good hours of operation and helpful staff! AND good sale prices, I mean you can't get much better then 75 pictures for $10 printed while you wait! What is even better when you have to go back because they didn't print right and you changed your mind, needed more prints which they they fix it for you right then and of course...no charge! They have a mini-health clinic for flu shots and such with insurance card is free, too! Seems like there are drug stores popping up everywhere so customer service is what will keep people returning. read more

After the pharmacy at Publix filled a script incorrectly we moved our scripts here. The pharmacy staff have all been very helpful. With my Walgreens card I am always coming home with impulse purchases. Walgreens is quite convenient and there is lent of parking. The annoying thing is their automatic dialers which tell you to pickup you meds.which you got hours ago. All phone calls are diverted to an Orlando call center...they told me the pharmacy was open till 10pm and it closed at 6pm. read more

After waiting in line at the pickup window for over 30 minutes, we were told at the window that one drug still needed printing and the other needed to be reviewed by the pharmacist. I had called prior to asking my neighbor to take me to the Fernandina Beach Walgreens and was told that both prescriptions would be ready by 5pm. It was 5:40pm when we got to the window. We explained the situation and asked the employee to check with the pharmacist. The pharmacy manager, Leonara, came to the window and tersely told us that the muscle relaxer was ready, but I was not receiving the oxycodone because I already had pain pills that had recently been picked up. I explained that the ED doctor had ordered the oxycodone (only enough for the weekend) because she did not want me doubling up on hydrocodone (which I told her I had). The doctor was trying to avoid more tests on the weekend or having to admit me to the hospital to control pain. Leonara only reacted uglier, with an attitude of judgement. She said that they "might" release the drug when my other prescription expired. Here's what she didn't know: I take 7 methotrexate pills (a chemotherapy drug) every week, 5 mg of prednisone every day, and a Humira injection every other week. My portion of the cost of these drugs for 2023 has been over $4,000 (through the end of March). Obviously, neither she nor the pharmacist looked to see why I might need pain pills. Perhaps they didn't even care. I have EORA (Elderly-Onset Rheumatoid Arthritis) that my rheumatologist has been trying to control for months. I have joint damage in my spine, wrist, knees, etc. My son is a doctor. He trained for over 10 years, and when he prescribes a medication, he is aware of all the medical issues the patient has. Apparently, some pharmacists believe that they know more - without even reviewing the medications a customer is taking. Furthermore, the disrespect and insult given to us at the window added mental pain to my already overwhelming physical pain. These people should not be working in any pharmacy. One day, either them or someone they love will be sick and in pain. I hope they find more caring and understanding than they have given. As for me, I am moving all of my prescriptions to CVS. I hope there is more love there. read more

Very conviently located on Sadler road, easy in and easy out with two entry/ exit locations. Larger stand alone location with lots of fun beach items, lots & lots of too much sun items, and plenty of stuff in between! Great buys on beach chairs, coolers, and toys for the tots for your day in the sand. Fully staffed pharmacy. The paking lot is very easy to maneuver about in. The outside areas are well kept, well lit, and very nice. Inside is clean and bright. Shelves are well stocked and orderly, items are easily located. Staff appear content and friendly. I feel bad for the Walgreens pharmacy employees as i don't think they have the resources to efficiently support their roles. The phones don't work, the prescriptions are coming in incorrectly in their system and at times their system has said the insurance has denied when the insurance says they paid the claim.I've been trying to get my prescriptions for the last three days, spending hours on the phone and an hour and a half in the store, with no luck. I'm frustrated, but i also know only a very small portion of this issue is due to the employees. Walgreens, you really need to get better technology. From a customer service standpoint, if a prescription isn't ready that an actual employee promised would be, then a phone call and voicemail should be left. Overall, the employees get +5 stars because they handle the frustrations of the patients graciously and the technology a negative ~4 stars! read more

These people are not professionals they are incompetent. I called to transfer my prescriptions from Publix and informed the young lady FOUR times the existing prescriptions were at Publix-Yulee. Thirty minutes later I receive a call from the pharmacy stating they are unable to transfer my prescriptions from CVS. Four times I informed Bri my prescriptions were being transferred from Publix Yulee. I was emphatic because there is a Publix location on Amelia Island and I wanted to ensure no confusion! These people should not be trusted to prescribe life-saving medicine. Shame on you Walgreen's! read more

0 stars tgey are rude, obnoxious, belligerent nasty store manager. I made a curbside and was told by manager my card was not charged when I clearly showed her the bank already showed deducted. She argued with me fir over 10 min like I was lying when I had confirmation. I was so frustrated. I was overcharged fir my meds cost me $67 instead of my regular $7 max. They did not try calling my insurance. I get back to my hotel 45 min away I get no email to pick up my water, I stopped at a gas station to get it, then I told her cancel she did not do that, 2 hours later get another email pick up my order, the one the Mgr stated I did not have. Try going extra mile and looking up my order than assuming I'm lying with my proof. I never went to any Walgreens treated so poorly. I called corporate filed complaint only way that store with lots of negative reviews will get better. It's really think my last time going that location bc I rather pay $4 for my prescriptions at Walmart and get groceries too. Walgreens after years of dealing with kind stores this one should be closed down and get all new crew. read more

The people don't want to do more than the bare minimum. Most times I go, there is a line and almost always there are a couple of people talking when there are people to be helped. If you're not working let the people who are supposed to be work!!! If you are working, help the customers. Today, I got a notice that my prescription was ready. (I had one called in and it arrived in their system at 9:58.) I arrived about 4:30, waited in line, got the info that they needed to speak to doc again. Didn't say why. So I call doc - 4:50 now - learn they sent it at 9:57. So I go back and wait in line. The lady who "helped" me the first time saw me but didn't ask if there was anything wrong until 5:00 when I got to her. She called, but got answering service. If there had been any efficiency or willingness to do a little extra work, I would have my meds. Now I have to wait until Monday for them to figure it out. Not happy. Update: called to get enough pills to get through weekend. Pharmacist read to bottom and found script signed so I can get script. No apology for not getting it right the 1st time. read more

The Pharmacy lines are incredible long, whether you are standing in line or going through the drive through. The staff appears understaffed and overworked. Even if one does the prepay option it isn't any faster and often the pharmacy technicians just ignore one who is in the prepay line unless one speaks up. They rarely ask if there are any questions regarding a new prescription, or that certain medicines taken together pose moderate to severe risk, unless the one prescription I received a strong opioid. Also, they rarely tell one what prescription they are ringing up. One has to specifically ask. Surely this isn't the standard of care. Also, the few times over the last two years I have called to talk with a Pharmacist I can rarely get through. The phone call will ring, they will answer occasionally, and say "hold" repeatedly over 10-minute period and usually at that point the call is abruptly dropped. One has to call back and go through the same process of either holding, or the call rings with music, and a pharmacist will eventually answer, if one is persistent. Crazy customer service. I have written a letter to the Assistant Secretary of Health Affairs at the Department of Defense outlining the Walgreens' problems not only at this Walgreens, but others i have encountered in my travels. Admittedly, none are as bad as this Fernandina Beach pharmacy. I can only hope the next TRICARE pharmacy contract will return to CVS. read more

They have the worst Customer Service in the pharmacy!!! These people simply do not care about their customers. I went to get a flu shot yesterday, and had to wait 30 minutes while I watched the Pharmacist fill and label bins in front of my eyes!!! She was the younger blond pharmacist, she was told she had someone for a flu shot, but she didn't care. She must have done 20 bins and labels. Going on 5 years with this pharmacy. The pharmacist is very dedicated to patient care I believe. I usually find other staff to be friendly and helpful. The only consistent dour attitude is the fellow assigned to the photo counter. Maybe he physically can't smile but he could choose to be nice instead of arrogant and "snarky". read more

I had posted a review on here a while back & I was not very happy with their customer service especially in the pharmacy. But recently they have gotten much better. I still wish that their was a Walgreens in Yulee so that we didnt have to drive all the way to the island. But for now this will do. I have never had a good experience at this Walgreen's pharmacy, & today was no different. Rude, inattention to detail (WOW! Great in a pharmacist, huh?!), the worst customer service on the island. Today my husband picked up & paid for a $45 rx because I'd received an automated call telling me I had an rx ready. I thought it was early for the refill for the ONE medication I get there, but oh well. UNTIL I looked at it! Not only was it a medication I've never heard of, but it was prescribed by a physician I've never heard of, either. It was a prescription entered under my name for another patient! I bet that patient is wondering where his/her blood pressure medication is. So, I call to tell them about this, was hung up on THREE times and put on hold for 15 minutes. I hung up & called back, raised a stink, & I "only" had to be on hold for a further 6 minutes. When I told the pharmacist what was wrong, she acted like it was no big deal, laughed, & told me to "come back in & we'll give you your money back." Great - now another trip. And ya know what put the cherry on the top? No apology! NONE! Absolute silence on the other side. I said, "that's it, no apology?" Silence. Dead silence. I repeated myself, still silence. A third time, same thing. Thinking I must've been hung up on, I said, "hello? Hello?", & the pharmacist said, sounding as if through gritted teeth, "we apologize for anything we might have (MIGHT HAVE? Own it, lady! Stop being a wuss) done that you didn't like." WTF??? First, that's not an apology at all. Secondly, it still isn't, because I had to demand it. Third, that still is no apology, & I can't believe that an apology wouldn't have been a natural reaction to something like this. Shows how customer service there is NOT anything they care about. I'm contacting corporate, too. I wasn't very upset when I started, but after being treated like crap & then being laughed off, I sure got that way. She couldn't hear me well (I don't know the reason for that - I had all 5 bars throughout the conversation), so I had to yell. No doubt she's now complaining that I "yelled at her." GO TO CVS!!! CVS cares, double checks all rxs, knows you by name, is kind & thoughtful & concerned. WALGREENS STINKS. read more

The convenience factor for using Walgreens on Sadler Rd. in Fernandina Beach doesn't make up for their high prices, especially on out of pocket medications and their extremely under staffed pharmacy. I have yet to find a time to pick up my prescriptions when I don't have to wait just to see/speak with a pharmacy clerk less than 30 minutes. Walgreens has their own "rewards " program so they won't use GoodRX coupons. I left behind one of my prescriptions during a visit out of state. My insurance wouldn't pay for my refill until the normal refill date. I could have gotten the same prescription at Publix for the out of pocket price of $5, but Walgreens charged me full price. I am now using the Publix Pharmacy. read more

This Walgreens just got the Tricare contract. We were using CVS with no issues. So far, this pharmacy has had two prescriptions back ordered and mixed up a prescription we have been using for years. They seem very unorganized or untrained. read more
