I went to the Summer Shop to show a friend who was visiting the cape what I thought would be a nice place to look for souvenirs/gifts. Unfortunately we had a very negative experience with the owner's father who yelled at us. While they sell clothing, they do not have a changing room to try the items on. For this reason, we were told if we purchased the dress we were considering and it didn't fit we could return it at any time. However when I went to return the dress, with the tags still on, they would not honor that. The woman behind the counter informed me that the owner's father was running the store while she was back at school and that he would fire her if she honored the return. When my friend and I walked to LaBelle's to ask him to honor the return and tell him what his daughter had promised, he called us liars and refused to call his daughter to verify what we said.

They are attentive and helpful. There is a great selection of staples and unique collections, and the shop is always spotless and so well organized. Nothing here is astronomically marked up, and the jewelry offerings are equally killer, with well chosen items from Me & Ro and a variety of handmade items designed and created by Lizzy's mother. The sweet girl at the counter greeted me and explained that there are five major scents, each one based on one of the towns in the Vineyard. It was such a cute concept! I wandered around and checked out each of the fragrances. There are only a handful of products for each fragrance, plus some men's products (aftershave and a moisturizer). They also have some gorgeous pre-made gift baskets that would make a great hostess or bridal shower gift. I settled on the Tisbury fragrance, which was subtle and sweet and reminded me of the smell of fresh cut grass and the mornings spent walking to Morning Glory Farm. The Edgartown scent was a close second, with grapefruit undertones. I selected a combination package of shower gel and body lotion, which was priced at $40. They also offered body butters, a body scrub, and scented candles. The company has a website, but it won't be offering the products for purchase online until later this summer. It was quite informative and gave me great resources and strategies to improve on my health. The lead was Molly Pelletier, a 500 RYT and Nutritionist and Ashley, the owner of the space. I was just looking around when I noticed that they had some of the makeup on sale for 50% off, specifically the Stilla brand. The owner (I assume) was very helpful when I asked her about the tinted moisturizer. There was never any pressure to buy and she was nice enough to write the specific tint for the moisturizer in case I wanted to purchase it another time. I was going to buy it from this place but out of habit, I asked to see the expiration date. Well, it had expired--in fact, all of them were expired. The owner was apologetic--I don't think she knew. Even still, I could go back to her shop. The service was great and it's good to support a small business. The shop is cutely decorated with two different entrances on the outside but they're both connected on the inside. The prices are slightly higher but they seem to have enough sales so it works out.
