I walked in and was so kindly greeted by two young women and they stopped everything to help me. I had a difficult task for them... My grandmother had died a few days prior and I wanted to do her hair like she used to have it prior to her dementia. I showed them her photograph and they pointed me to many different products and had lots of product knowledge and efficient customer service. Because of these women--whose names I unfortunately did not get (except for one, Tori) helped me to make my grandmother look beautiful for her funeral. I cannot thank them enough. I have returned to this location and again saw Tori who remembered me and asked how everything went!! They are beautiful souls and I am so grateful for the experience that they provided. I'm genuinely happy to see a local business succeed, but unfortunately my experience has changed over the years. As someone who has been a regular customer for more than 15 years, I had hoped to build a relationship with a dedicated nail technician or receive a bit more personalized service. That has never really happened. I've also had multiple appointments where my cuticles were cut too aggressively, causing my fingers and toes to bleed. The electric file used to remove gel polish has repeatedly left my cuticles sore and irritated. In fact, my toes are burning this morning, just as they have after several previous visits. Yesterday was especially disappointing. I requested a jelly pedicure, which was listed at $58, but I was charged $78. I wasn't given an explanation for the additional $20, so I left feeling confused. I had also scheduled a manicure, but after my pedicure experience I decided to cancel it and go home. I recognize that I bear some responsibility for continuing to return, hoping each visit would be better. Unfortunately, after this latest experience, I think it's finally time for me to find another salon. My hope is that this feedback is taken constructively.
