Super tinny Walgreens. Probably the smallest I've ever seen. Has most of the essentials and if your ever in need of some medicine this is the place to go. Don't go coming in here looking for specific greeting cards as their selection is tinny. Private parking lot makes its a plus too. If your in Coronado and get on base, just go to the NEX. Otherwise this place is a good alternative, just pricey. read more

Worst pharmacy ever. They take FoREVeR and staff is rude. That all take a lunch break and come back late. I've had so many issues and when questioned about waiting times, they snap back. Yes we also have jobs and kids that we need to attend to. I finally decided to switch right across the street to Rite Aid which is WAY better. While waiting for a friend in a nearby store, I ran in here to check it out. I spent 20 minutes browsing and I was not impressed. It's bright inside, the floors and shelves were clean, the staff pleasant enough. The store is so generic looking, lacking in ambiance, not well organized. Lots of white. It seemed big, spacious and empty. It made me feel the sooner I got out the better. I didn't find anything I normally purchase to be any cheaper. I didn't notice the facial or hair products I buy. This location isn't any more convenient than others I shop and I don't like being in the store so I most likely won't be back. Not to sound snobbish, but this is Coronado. We expect a little more here. Walgreens should have checked out the competition before opening such a place. read more

Had to make a pit stop for a package of socks and a few other nick nacks. This is a pocket size store it was open surprisingly at 7am on a Sunday. I originally stopped at rite aide but they don't open till 10am. I guess Walgreens got the upper hand on them now don't they haha. Anyways ain't much to write a review on. Pharmacy only review - Used to come here to get any of my prescriptions done. The staff was friendly/ helpful / and the wait was never long if it was they always apologized . It's been about a year since I needed to have an Rx filled but when I did I picked Walgreens. Well when I called the check on the status the female who answered the phone was so rude and as if I was bothering her with my call. Then when I went to get my rx I assume the same women treated me with the Same rudeness. She stomped to the back I'm Guessing to ask the pharmacist something. Then basically threw my medicine at me. Then working at a medical office my co worker called in a rx for a patient and was greeted with same rudeness. After she told me about it I told her my story. I'll be taking my business across the street to rite aid for any medicine in the future. Also the rudeness was three different days and assume the same women. So can't blame it on one bad day read more

The sins of this Walgreens were not great, but they were many -- death by a thousand slights. I'm already feeling a little guilty as I head in, since this store is the biggest, newest corporate-chain-store incursion on this half of the island. But hey, it's conveniently located and I need to replenish my supplies of sugary soft drink. Things start off well. The store organization is confusing, but it's clean and well-lit, and I'm pleased to see they're running a sale on 12-packs. Unfortunately, it goes downhill from there. First I stand alone in the checkout for a solid couple minutes while the two cashiers work on entering something from the previous customer into the register. Look, I get it, you're trying to help the new cashier with something she doesn't understand. All I ask is a quick "Hi, I'll be with in a moment." Just the barest acknowledgement of my presence, and maybe an indication of which register counter I could use to set down my 12-packs, instead of leaving me standing there holding them. Then I get rung up and find out that the sale price only applies if one has a Walgreens loyalty card. This backhanded behavior is pretty common among grocery stores, but having to swear fealty to a pharmacy? Really? And if the sale signs said anything about needing a card to get the special price, it sure wasn't obvious. Then I use a debit card to get cash back, and the maximum amount allowed is $20. Really? How is that useful? Who uses a debit card and only wants $20 back? I ponder entering $19.74 in the "custom amount" field just to be spiteful, but decide against it. And then I get my cash back, all in $5 bills. At least now I understand why the maximum was $20. I guess I should be grateful they didn't let me ask for more. I'm glad I declined the loyalty card, even if it meant paying double price for my Cokes. I don't think I'll be needing it. read more

Easy to get to and within walking distance. It has pretty much what you expect of Walgreens.

If you're being touristy around Coronado and need essentials such as water, Walgreen is the affordable way to go. My friends and I were able to get 1 quarter electrolyte/vapor distilled at 3 for $3 with a Walgreens card. Yaaaas. read more

I've been getting prescriptions from Walgreens out of state for many years but never have I had a pharmacist review potential side effects and when to call the doctor. I was visiting SD and developed a skin infection requiring antibiotics. Went to Walgreens in Coronado. Kurt took the time to tell me, unsolicited, that I could get tendinitis with Levaquin. Sure enough, four days later I did. I would have assumed that it was just a muscle strain. Thank you Kurt! read more

Went to Walgreens last night. Wasn't feeling good.. Waited forever for lady I front of me to dig threw her handbag for Walgreens card. Then her debit card wasn't working only one person to help check out. The guy at the check out was a complete jerk! I was just trying to get out of there so I forgot to say thank you because I felt like o was going to barf. He yelled ur welcome as I was walking out just thought that was so rude and his tone he wasn't friendly to begin with! However the lady that helped me pick out my meds was delightful read more

I shopped there on Saturday Oct 25 in the afternoon time. I was looking for my items walking up and down the isles. This young lady behind the pharmacy in blue scrubs ask if I needed help? I told her its okay .. I didn't want to take her away from her work. She came immediately to me , got my item within seconds. Very friendly girl, pleasant conversation. She walk with me to look for another item that was on my list. The surprising part came a bit later. She then got me a coupon to save me 15% on my items. Very sweet of this young lady to help me without me even asking, People like her makes the environment of shopping a pleasant experience. read more

pharmacists act all weird when you get a pain medication filled even though you just had surgery and it is pretty obvious you really are in pain. also their "it will take 15 minutes" really means 45 minutes. as for the store part --- there are never enough cashiers so youre always stuck in line. the ones who are working are always miserable. so after waiting in line forever you get to deal with a pissy cashier. not worth the hassle or annoyance. read more
