This review does not reflect the whole store. Only the pharmacy. They lose prescriptions, are always backed up, I never get a call, email or text that the med I need is not in stock or partially there. I can wholeheartedly say that 100% all the time that my prescriptions can never be found. Frequently I put prescriptions on file until I'm ready to fill them. A month later I call the store to request it. I'm told that they need to contact my doctor to get a refill. When I tell them I already have it on file it takes FOREVER for the pharmacy techs to figure everything out. Until I find a new pharmacy to transfer all my meds to, I will Not be giving them anything to place on file. If you need medication refill please request a refill a week or 2 ahead of time. They dont communicate well. The techs & pharmacist are nice but have no idea the importance of us getting our medications. read more

Awful!!!!!! Just ordered something to be picked up, 30 minutes or less pick up is what they advertise, two hours later had to call. The guy said there was no order for me. He said it wasn't in the system yet its still hanging in my account as in progress. He was nice enough but man this is nuts. False advertising at its best. They do not enforce mask wearing. I went here for my Covid vaccine and in the waiting area there were 3 people not wearing a mask (one of them speaking to the pharmacist). I have a newborn at home and didn't want to bring home germs so I made an appointment at CVS instead. I've had bad experiences with this pharmacy in the past from being overcharged for prescriptions, them being out of a common medication for weeks, not wanting to fill my prescription because I can buy it over the counter (at a higher price), and once a pharmacist even accused me of giving my medication to someone else when it was the first time filling the prescription and it was medication I needed. The pharmacists and employees at this location are extremely rude and unprofessional, do not give them your business. read more

I want to say thank you to Erica the supervisor on duty Friday night June 10 2022. And to give a wonderful review to the Walgreen staff who assisted me on 6/10/2022. My car stalled in the parking approximately 10:30pm. I was in the store waiting for a tow truck to arrive, at that time I mentioned to Erica what my intentions were. She stated that fine don't worry, I will not leave you here alone. At the same time another staff member came by, a young man assisted me by saying "you can use the charging station to charge your phone". They both was very professional, courteous and friendly, and very patient. When the tow Truck Driver arrived, Erica walk me to the door and said have a great night. Probably one of the worst pharmacies Ive dealt with and being a physician I deal with plenty. I called in a non narcotic script for a patient and there were no issues after talking to the pharmacist. Got a call from my patient that there was an issue when she went to pick it up. I spoke to the same person again and gave the same exact information and my patient still ended up with no medication. I scheduled an appointment for a COVID booster here. After waiting for 20 minutes, the pharmacy tech provided gave me the booster. About 20 minutes after arriving home, I got a call that they didn't get my insurance information and I would need to call back. I did. The agent who answered the Rx phone stated that I would have to provide that info online. I told him I just get a voicemail asking me to call this location back specifically, I provided my insurance information and he insisted that, because I was over 65, I must be on Medicare. Not so. He connected me to the pharmacist on duty, who took my info, but said that all those over 65 are automatically on Medicare Part B. Not so, if you're employed and waived the coverage. This was, apparently, news to the staff there. I was also surprised to see that the only folks wearing masks in the store were customers, not those in the pharmacy. Will stay with Kaiser for these vaccines in the future. read more

This is a great neighborhood location with a staff that gets the job done. From pharmacy to photos, to many of their departments, the staff is attentive and makes sure the customer has their needs met. The product selection is decent, and will suit your needs. read more

I wouldn't even give this Walgreens one star after the HORRIBLE customer service I just received from their night manager, some thin, black lady. I spent $96 CASH and $56 CASH and brought back Splenda for $5.29 on one receipt and Folgers for $12.49 on the other. I typed in the same Rewards card I used on BOTH receipts, but she would not let me return EITHER because I didn't have my license!! So, because I had my wallet stolen yesterday, with my license in it, this lady wouldn't let me bring back these two items I just spent my hard-earned CASH on. That was the ONLY reason she wouldn't do it. I think this lady was a bit confused but she rudely said,"I'm not going to lose my job over ANYBODY". This is 'Company Policy." Don't think so lady...I hope YOUR boss reads this and sees how you just turned away a high spending customer from your store. Good job, great customer service... NOT!!! I'm giving four stars because the whole process of checking out took 10 minutes! Line took forever, only one cashier working. I am very pleased with the pharmacy. For many years, I used CVS. They often made mistakes and never seemed to recognize me. I have been going to Walgreens for a month. The pharmacist has gone out of her way to help and even asked how my husband was doing. Pharmacy Technician Stella called CVS several times to resolve an issue. I have a quick story to tell how much I can't stand Walgreens in Chatsworth! An old man with a walking disability was waiting for is prescription. It was warm in the store and asked for water. He said he wasn't feeling well. Everyone ignored him and he was told to grab a water bottle and pay for it. I was watch him and said I would grab one. As he stood up he lost his balance. I grabbed him quickly but couldn't hold him up. I grabbed a chair and picked him up. THE ENTIRE TIME NOT ONE EMPLOYEE IN THE PHARMACY OFFERED HELP! They never acknowledge him! Never asked if needed help! Never gave a shit! I lost my mind and started screaming at each of them! These assholes apologized to me!!!! What about apologizing to him, I said! First, I love that this pharmacy offers drive-thru. My prescription is ready when they have said it's ready. They answer the phone. More importantly the pharmacy techs have worked hard to get my prescriptions covered by my insurance. They have gone above and beyond to help. Just beware they close for an hour or two during the middle of the day Saturday and Sunday. read more

Had a really negative experience with their pharmacy department, after years as a customer.

Set an appointment for a health screening to maintain my company insurance rates -- very easy, and the Walgreens company should staff during this time of the year to accommodate. I showed up and got my paperwork in and they let me know that I'd have to come back in the evening... Strange, since I set up an appointment. I ask why? The LVN, or similar, on staff wearing a labcoat of self-importance cannot perform the task of a health and wellness check that SHOULD be covered in most of her schooling ... she's never done it in the field. I assume the wellness check includes drawing blood, blood pressure, heart rate, blood o2, etc.. the usual stuff. Now, one would only assume that the Walgreens company would staff with people that are knowledgeable in their field of work (especially in pharma). I let her know that it's perfectly fine -- prick my finger and draw blood away. I'm healthy and willing to be her first. She goes back and gathers gear to set up.... 15min later, she asks if I can come back later. I get that it's one thing to be nervous and new, but to altogether decide that you can't do your job? I suppose I expect too many standard things out of people. I will say that she tried to be helpful by calling other walgreens that would perform the health check, but they were located miles upon miles away (across the valley). Either way, my 15-minute checkup resulted in 45-minutes of waiting around for nothing. Walgreens, please staff your professionals accordingly. If someone is in training or new, staff a veteran so that you can get your personnel up to speed. read more

Customer Service is down here. The floors are very slippery so be careful it is clean but a little too clean. They must wax the floors which causes the sling at times down the isle. They sometimes don't replace the shelves and expired items are left or sale including milk and various juices and candy. They do not have a mark-down section so you pay full retail whether or not the items are expired. You may want to check the expiration dates on items before purchasing as a precaution. read more

I wanted to give compliments to an employee named Sylvia from Photo Department in Chatsworth, specifically at 20901 Devonshire St, Chatsworth, CA 91311. I THOUGHT that I had came by to drop off a box to be shipped out. I also bought some items at the store on my way to work. Later, I realized that the shipping label was meant for UPS and I got worried about losing the package. I called by noon, when Sylvia assured me that she hadn't seen any package according to my description and tracking. I was still concerned and didn't give up yet on finding my box. So, Sylvia helped me by offering to review the store cameras to make sure if I actually did drop it off at the store. Later, I realized that I stopped by a different Walgreens and took up much of her time. I had to call back and apologize. Sylvia had been totally patient and nice the whole time. To me, this was above and beyond customer service. She didn't have to do it, but she did because I was worried. She must love what she does, because she exerts honest and friendly service. I really appreciate it and I hope others will know how you helped made my day. Great job Sylvia! read more

Love this place is right by my home but the caliber of the variety of things they have is phenomenal. they have almost everything you can think of at a decent price. The staff is always great and when the lines get long they either open another cashier register or move along. Great service for sure. They also carry propane tanks at a killer deal $10 cheaper than the neighboring places that offer propane refills. read more

Their narrow drive though pharmacy scratch the hell out of my truck - they took a claim and denied it? If you have a truck or Van do not go to their drive through! They have no posted signs that larger cars can not go though. The yellow poles are all scratched by other people's cars, it's not just me. I am a long time customer of this place, but no more! I was extremely underwhelmed with the service i received at this Walgreen's photo department. There weren't an overabundance of people in the store so I am still having a hard time figuring out why I stood at the counter for about 15 minutes before even really being acknowledged. This is even after I spoke to the cashier up front and asked him to call someone. He did...3 times before finally someone came and handed the man in front of me his pictures then asked if I was picking up. I said no, I need a passport picture and then that person proceeded to say ok someone will be right with you. So about 5 minutes later FINALLY someone came and took the picture. The pharmacy employees are unfriendly and unhelpful. Even the pharmacist did not know that my Rx came in a generic form and tried to sell me on a very high retail price and then tried selling me on buying a "discount card". So I filled all but one Rx. On top of that I had to ask for consultation on medications I had never taken before. And she was very short on explaining it to me. I will never come here again and will tell anybody who will listen NOT to use this Pharmacy for anything. read more

This location has steadily gone down hill. Our family has been filling prescriptions there for five years. Today was honestly the most frustrating situation I've ever been in with a drug store, I waited almost 40 min in the drive thru line to drop off my daughters prescription,( with only 2 cars ahead of me!) when it was finally my turn I was told since it was a prescription that was in the safe it would be awhile (at least 30 min up to 2 hours) to even find out if they have it. She has been on her meds for seven years and I've never ever heard this. I asked her if there's any way to just to check the computer to see if its available or if I needed to find another pharmacy to fill it. Apparently that's not a option anymore. I kindly reminded her that my family has been loyal customers for five years at this location and any other time I've tried to fill her prescription elsewhere I've had problems its the sat before new years eve and most Walgreens around here close at 6. There's a chance that well have to go on vacation without my daughters meds. This could have totally been avoided if they were able to check the computer or at least tell me a store that would have her meds. End thought understaffed and uncaring. Please don't think I'm a mom who lets her kid run out of meds I'm only aloud to fill them two days before she's completely out. (So I rushed over there after work)which is today and once we fly to another state tonight there's no way it will be filled until we return on the 7th. Good customer service at the check out lanes. Otherwise, there is not an employee in sight so you are left to fend for yourself when searching for items. The lay out of this store is pretty easy to navigate, which I appreciate cause some other stores have similar items all over the place. Snagging a spot close to the entrance of the store is never a problem since the parking lot is strictly for this Walgreens. Checkout lanes never usually get long, but they do sometimes take a while. In general, this is a good place to come if your on the go and need to grab some items in a hurry and aren't looking for a huge variety. read more

This is the absolute worst Walgreens I have ever been to. I needed to make a photo copy of a document and I waited for the employee at the photo counter for 20 minutes without being acknowledged. Finally he asked with an attitude "do you need something?". I told him if I could make copies here, he said "no. we don't have that here". (Yet there was a copy machine right behind him). He had a really crappy attitude and poor customer service skills. At the same time my husband was looking for a battery for his key remote and another employee was extremely unhelpful. It's no wonder they hardly get any customers..that and the fact that there are always crackheads sitting outside. They are also way overpriced. Avoid this place and go to Rite-Aid just up the street. On Wednesday October 23rd around 7 PM my wife was harassed by a homeless person who hangs out right in front of the store. When she returned to the car, it had been keyed - very deep and probably done with a knife, causing $1000+ in damage. She went back into the store and asked for the manager. He was very condescending and apathetic, he said "you're safe". No! Our property was damaged by an armed and dangerous vagrant who was possibly still around. Manager didn't care and refused to escort her back outside. He also stated that the security cameras weren't working and he didn't care to check them. This is not a homeless problem, this is a Walgreens security issue. This Walgreens location is too lazy and ignorant to provide any kind of security for it's customers. Even the security cameras are a big question mark. If you shop here after dark your person and property are at risk. If something happens, no one at this store will care. I went in there today 03/23/2021 because their online site did not work and I wanted to pick up something that was on sale. When I went in two employees (female) were talking and I waited for them to finish politely. Finally one looked at me and I asked her if they honor the online sales if their site is down and if the price would be the same. She said instantly, "no". I told her I had tried it on all of my computers etc and she said "no" again in the most rude way. She went back to talking to her fellow employee and then rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I asked if she was a manager to the other employee and she said she was. I requested the main office telephone number and instead she got me another manager. It turns out the item was the same price as online (so she lied) and he gave me the coupon off and 5000 points to make up for the rudeness. Never the less I will never return in this store again. Walgreens corporation should be ashamed of calling themselves a business if it is acceptable for their stores to have the low ratings this one does. read more

I have been let down and disappointed so many times by this Walgreens pharmacy. I have had several prescriptions for myself and my family filled here and nothing ever seems to go smoothly. The staff seem very inexperienced and poorly managed. Even the automated system seems to be broken. My final straw was today when I urgently refilled a medication for my son. The automated system said it would be ready today before 11am. I went to the drive thru at 2:45pm and the attendant or pharmacist told me that the medication was not in stock, that it had to be ordered, and that it wouldn't be ready until the following day. WTF!? I'm moving all of my family's prescriptions to Rite-Aid on Devonshire and Mason right down the street. I went to them and they were able to transfer the prescription and have it ready in less than 30 minutes. DO NOT GO TO THIS WALGREENS PHARMACY UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE DEALING WITH THEIR INCOMPETENT STAFF. read more

It droned on and on with ads for merchandise and was so loud I had to go outside to talk on the phone because I couldn't hear. Pharmacy, over the counter medications, candy, cards, non food items, seasonal, food, etc. they were busy around 2 pm because of the Xmas rush... I called this pharmacy this morning explaining to the pharmacist after calling three other pharmacies that did not have it, that I'm being discharged from the hospital and needed a controlled substance for pain. Most pharmacies were not able to get this drug until Thursday and I need to find it today so I asked if it was in stock. The extremely rude person on the phone told me that there was no way she was going to tell me whether they had it and that before she would even discuss it she'd have to call my doctor and I would have to physically bring in the RX. Again I explained that I just got out of the hospital and i don't have time to look at various pharmacies to only find out they don't have it in stock and that I was trying to make the task easier for my sister who was driving me home. Again she got really rude with me and said I told you I'm not telling you whether we have it. I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years and never experienced the rudeness of this pharmacist. She also claims that this is Walgreens policy. However I call the Northridge Walgreens and explain the same exact situation to the pharmacist who was kind enough to tell me that she did have it in stock but also was kind enough to explain that it is a long and convoluted process to fill the prescription as they do have to call the physician. I asked if my sister could accomplish this task for me as I am not able to walk into the pharmacy and she was very kind and explained that she would be happyTo help. The Chatsworth pharmacy is around the corner from my house, but I will NEVER use their services again and will take this complaint to corporate. read more

I dont normally do this, but I had to write this for others out there. BUYERS BEWARE!!! My husband and I was just passing by and happen to stop by at this particular Walgreens for snacks. BAD IDEA!!! Such a bad shopping experience. The cashier (male) was not helpful at all and gave such a bad attitude to me and my husband. I had seen some Easter stuff in store that was marked down to 90% and so when I was purchasing the items, it was not registering to show the discount. I had asked the cashier to check the price, but he not only ignored my request he continued to charge me full price and kept arguing with me with an attitude by slamming the register and throwing the stuff in the basket since I decided to not purchase any of the prodducts. He must be having a bad day, but don't take it out on your customer who is just there to purchase things. I will never shop into a Walgreens again. I will only shop at RiteAid since they provide all around great customer service. read more
