The store is clean and staff is pretty much friendly for the most part and this used to be my go to store for Boston baked beans but the last 3 times I came there was no boston baked beans. I came tonight and nothing. I mention to the guy in door the cashier and all he said, was, oh, like what is oh going to do. At least the time before the female cashier told the manager to order some, which I don't know. If they did or not, I don't know because when I came, there's none. This is the closest Walgreens to me and I dread going here every time. The employees are rude and customer service is non existent. I mostly come here to pick up printed photos and I always have to pull teeth just to get some help. Today might have been the worse. I came to this Walgreens today to check out the holiday clearance section! There was not a lot of variety left but I still got a ton of stuff for $30. From wrapping paper to ornaments and candy! I took off a star because there was a holiday chapstick set in clearance but did not ring up as clearance and that was disappointing. I also asked if they would mark it down and they said no. Other than that the store was very clean and organized. There is lots of parking and easy to get to. I like this location because they have a lot of stock and a very clean store. read more

Luis in the pharmacy is incompetent. Incredibly rude and does not know anything about basic medications. Told me obviously incorrect information about medication I have been on for years. Only conceded he was wrong when the pharmacist corrected him. Then told me a different prescription was a year old. It was only a month old. He then told my mother he could not give her the bathroom code. He was very very rude and said something like, "I need a minute." There was no one else in line and 3 other pharmacy techs working. Super rude and condescending the entire time while being obviously wrong. Incredibly unhelpful. There's no one great working here, but he was the last straw. Soooo much better than the CVS also on De Soto but about 1.5 miles away. It is clean, it is well stocked, not many products are under lock and key - and it just feels safe. The people that work there were nice, pleasant, friendly concerned, caring, and compassionate today I encountered the pharmacist who was rude nasty and and didn't give a care about anything. I tried to explain explain that I just had major surgery and that I needed the pain management meds so that I could survive But now they didn't care the order came in. They didn't fill it. They didn't contact me that it wasn't getting filled they didn't do anything when I called this morning to try and get it filled. I gotta run around then I got well. It's gonna be several hours before we can get it to you then it was XYZ. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a Pharmacy. I sure hope that Walgreens correct this action. read more

DO NOT GO HERE FOR PASSPORT PHOTOS!! Went yesterday to get passport photos taken. No issues. Got home, uploaded photo and unfortunately we were smiling which is not accepted. Dude at WG neglected to pass this on. I went back in again this morning and they retook our photos. But never received the digital ones. Called and spoke with Elizabeth who said "sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't". Seriously? Not true that's her being lazy and not trying to help us. So I had to scan them with our old scanner and they look awful. Hoping they are accepted. Not cool. This is why I typically avoid this place. Never again. I want my money back. read more

Love that it has a drive-through as it is so convenient given we have toddlers and do not have to take the children out of the car to pick up prescriptions. The drive-through also helps limit exposure to sick individuals who may be finding a cold or other contagious bacteria or virus. Love that for its convenience however, this is by far the slowest Pharmacy I have ever experienced. Even when needing something urgently the turnaround time once a prescription is registered in my app meaning that the doctor has transferred it to Walgreens and Walgreens has recognized that it needs to be filled. Per the pharmacy it takes them two hours to fill a prescription. However, I have never received one in two hours. It usually takes at least three and honestly takes the better part of the day before they were able to fill a prescription. So for example, I went to the pediatrician in the morning and need to pick up anabiotic. It will take until maybe two or 3 o'clock before that prescription is ready. If towards the end of the day and in need of a prescription, honestly I just go to a different pharmacy because there's no way this prescription will be ready in time. I've gone to pick up eyedrop and they said it will take a minimum of two hours. I don't really understand why given the eye drops are already prepared and simply need a label applied. Speaking of eye drops I have found it cheaper using a GoodRx coupon rather than going through my insurance. $50 versus $32. My wife and I use this Walgreens specifically because of the drive-through and that it's between our child's school and Home. Other than this, I actually highly dislike this Pharmacy . read more

Ask the pharmacist a few questions about a new drug I was going to have to take and the pharmacist completely bullshitted me. How do I know? Because at one time in my life I was a pharmacist. Walgreens is one of the big players in the pharmacy industry. Their pharmacists and pharmacy technicians do a tremendous job to satisfy their customers on a daily basis. What is sad is that, most patients do not understand the "behind the scenes" workings of what it takes to finally execute the prescription that was sent to the pharmacy by your doctor. It is not a slam dunk. When orders arrive, there are often errors that have to be fixed, doctors have to be called for clarification/changes. Is the medication and directions in harmony with the indication. And good luck getting hold of the doctor. Then there are insurance issues that must be rectified so that you do not have a high cost or big copay. The medication has to be checked and rechecked for accuracy, so that you get the exact medication that was prescribed. There are also staffing issues that come into play. These are just some factors that determine how soon you can get your meds. There are more. So as a customer, be patient, do not be aggressive, and be thankful you are getting a good deal on your prescription. Finally, appreciate the Pharmacist and the Pharmacy Technicians who work tirelessly, day in day out, to make your health, and your lives, so much better. read more

This Walgreens is clean and well cared for. The pharmacy staff are all nice- even when they are crazy busy (like every day). They have tons of items to choose from and plenty of parking. My only issue is the "hard sell" at the register over trying to get ne to sign up for a Walgreens credit card. The woman was very very nice. BUT I had to say no 3 different times and it really feels like crap the 3rd time. This woman could easily be making way more money in actual sales somewhere. I mean she was relentless and very skilled. But when you don't want something and you are already 100% certain yo do not want or need a credit card- it is really annoying and takes away the perceived kindness of the cashier. It is too much. Please find another way to incentivize these people but don't make them hard sell me on a credit card. read more

I'm not in the practice of writing reviews good or bad but this pharmacy deserves to be shut down as a Walgreen, Jennifer and Angelina and everybody else who works in that pharmacy, including the pharmacist and the guy that works there and the other pharmacy manager, they are the worst. Non of the employees at this location enforce the customers to wear masks...at least properly. 9/10/29 at 8pm While waiting in line to pay, both customers ahead of me we wearing masks improperly. One was covering her double-chin instead of mouth and nose. The other was covering mouth only with nose exposed and sniffly. The cashiers didn't bother asking them to wear the mask properly. Came here to pick up medicine for my son and was given the worse service ... after picking my items I brought it to the register... The store may be fine. Most Walgreens store are great but this Devonshire & De Soto store is the one you don't go to if you need help from the employees. They're uneducated in their knowledge and they didn't seem to care to help their customers. Most of them I found working this day (09/05/22 @ 10:00 am to 4:00 pm) have no interest in doing their job. The absolute worst pharmacy ever. They call to tell you your prescription is ready and it never is. But you only have to wait an hour for them to get their shit together. Which never happens in an hour. Whatever you do, do not depend on them to contact your Dr. This takes about a week or two. If it ever really happens at all. They have 1 or 2 employees that actually care about what they do. That's it. The pharmacy manager is useless as he merely gets defensive when I've voiced my concerns. Then, only one was ready for pickup because they called (they didn't) and left messages to pick up (they didn't). Next, they were going to fill them and let me know when they were ready but then I got an email saying I couldn't pick up because it was too soon. I wanted to give a wonderful review to the Walgreen associate who assisted me yesterday and this morning. I'm not very tech savy. This young man assisted me with helping me get new 4" by 6" photo business cards. He was a real sweet guy, very patient, uploaded the card from my iphone, made 2 test photos, then completed the order. When I arrived this morning, he showed me the cards, they were wonderful! Similar to other customers would love to give this pharmacy a 0 if I could. The employees who work there are so incompetent and their lack of knowledge puts customers at risk. First while I waited they were unable to answer anyone's heath questions and were very dismissive in their tone to other customers. Second they were unable to provide me with the vaccines I made an appointment for because they couldn't find my insurance despite me having my insurance card on me. No one could tell me what my card was missing (they could see both my policy and member ID) and were surprised when I wanted to cancel my appointment. The man who works there is so rude and just said "I can't even do anything with this card" you can't read an insurance card as a pharmacist? Even so they advertise vaccines as free of charge anyways. Overall do not come here it seems they like to do as little as possible to ensure they do no work. They are not comfortable even interacting with people coming in for health problems with any human decency or kindness. I wish they could take the advice of their own posters and remember to treat people nicely because people coming in for health issues are someone's loved ones. read more

A few minutes later it rolled over to a phone ringing and after a few rings someone picked it up and hit the hold button again. This happened two more times, with the phone ringing about 20 times each. As I write this I'm still on hold and I've been waiting 15 minutes. Why would I trust this place to fill prescriptions? Stopped by to fill a prescription and Luis at the pharmacy was very rude. He said he was very busy and didn't have time to check if my doctor sent in an e-prescription. Instead of having someone else help me, he had me stand there while he worked on his computer/register. I decided to ask the female pharmacist next to him who was able to help me in a few seconds. I came & was talked to like some kind of criminal with a nasty tone. Insisted they didn't have a prescription for me. Finally got through the ugliness & she told me to come back in 5-10 min. Really? Great location with a huge private parking lot. It can be a little tricky entering and exiting since Ventura Blvd. is pretty busy. The store is very clean and well stocked. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall a great place to stop by and pick up any essential little items. The wait time for the pharmacy wasn't so bad. When you're up the staff behind the counter gives you quality help with a good attitude. It can get a little jammed up if there's a problem with insurance or other technical things but they do their best to keep it moving. At this particular location there is a lot of natural light and fresh air. I like that there are tons of other restaurants and stores near by. read more
