Every time I moved to a new aisle in the store, the "customer service needed in ____ aisle" came over the intercom. Coming from a customer service & retail background, I am well aware this is done when someone is suspected of stealing. Both to deter the customer and give a heads up to other employees to watch out for them. I was in this store for less than five minutes when this started and each aisle I went to it happened again which is so overly aggressive and unnecessary. When I asked for help getting something off a locked shelf I was treated like I had the plague and it was clear the associate had decided I wasn't going to actually pay for the items I had requested, which also really annoyed me. I purposely go in to most shops in lazy day off clothes because I want to be treated like the average person who runs into a store so I get an authentic experience... and boy did I ever receive it! However, I'm not sure what screamed thief about me to whoever was watching within the first 30 seconds of me entering the store but I'd love to hear back because I was so annoyed and made to feel not welcome I left with only half my shop completed and without purchasing all the items requested. Maybe give a customer more than a few seconds of standing in the beauty aisle before assuming they're stealing because you're chasing away customers who are probably actually there to spend money. This Walgreens is one of the closest to my house and I intend to avoid it like the plague for personal needs but I will pick up every mystery shop I can for this location so I can write another review to the powers that be about the profiling of customers and unwelcoming atmosphere.

It worked! ;) Most of the employees here ARE trying pretty hard. I saw a teenage guy faint behind the counter. But the store isn't managed well, and some of the customers are beyond shady. It's basically the sixth circle of hell, because their are always long lines, as they refuse to staff the clerk checkouts properly. Come on, Walmart- I'm sure you have a few bucks in your pockets already to put more staffers on, you greedy corporate pigs. Lately I've been going to the one in Smyrna- much nicer.

However, every time I've gotten a prescription filled at this location (which I have many times), something has gone wrong. For example, I received a phone call informing me that my prescription was ready, but when I went to the pharmacy, I was told that they didn't have any in stock. The next day, I received another phone call telling me the same thing, but when I went to pick it up, their order hadn't yet arrived. It took me three different trips (out of my way) to finally pick up that prescription. Everyone's really nice, but it can be quite a hassle to get something filled there. There's also almost always a line down the aisles, so it takes a while to pick anything up.

Before driving here, I downloaded the Walgreens app to check if it had what I needed, which was a…read moreutility knife and some Velcro. Turns out that they had that and 2 gatorades to quench me while I worked on fixing a door. However, my experience with this Walgreens was outstanding because of the app I downloaded. I created an account via the app and it gave me a Walgreens card. With the card, I was able to save 11% off! The app made everything easier because as I approached the counter, my phone told me to hold it near the card reader. The card reader had no issue recognizing my phone for the discount. From their, since this Walgreens takes Apple Pay, my phone proceeded to ask if I wanted to pay with it. I agreed and my face unlock allowed me to pay without even taking out my credit card. The cashier fellow was surprised at how quickly and effortlessly everything worked. He said he'd never seen anyone ring the Walgreens card or pay with their phone the way they did. This is the closest Walgreens to me and since I had a great first time experience (this is actually my third visit, though), I will keep coming back unless something changes.
