The tooth was not loose unlike another tooth upon which he had done a root canal, but the gum was painful after chowing down on homemade beef jerky so I was put on antibiotics. One day after starting the antibiotics my pain was gone and a month later when seeing this new endodontist it was the same. (I managed to get into this endodontist earlier plus he was "in network" re insurance.) Initially the dental assistant took a single Xray, placed a swab with topical anesthetic on the gum area with the involved tooth and said that the doctor would evaluate me to determine if I needed a root canal. Considering the circumstance I naturally questioned whether I needed a root canal and if I did why would I need to go back to my original dentist to get the cap hole repair done. After the physical exam I received a tongue lashing from the endodontist stating he wouldn't do the endo because I was "pissed off." But who was really "pissed off"? It seemed he was because I questioned his ability and that of my longtime dentist to accurately evaluate the situation and possibly perform an expensive procedure that probably wasn't really needed. I was told "No charge" for the visit so I got the original paperwork from my dentist and left. I contacted my insurer to let them know of what had transpired in the event that this endodontist submits an insurance claim for doing nothing. Ironically, this endodontist apparently also practices general dentistry (per the web site) so why he didn't state he could manage the entire procedure including closure of the cap is beyond me.

Dr. Gupta performed root canal. I was satisfied with the interactions and the outcome. I was a little annoyed, like another person here, I received a bill for the exact same service that the recommending dentist charged. The dentist did some x-rays to see what the problem was, and then referred me to this office for root canal. They also did an x-ray and it turns out it was the same one the dentist did. I got a bill for it later. My insurer said they would not pay for it because the dentist already charged for it. I am going to talk to them about it and see how they handle it. I did go with one picture of an x-ray from my dentist but maybe that wasn't enough for them, I'm not sure. But I would go back to them.

From the start, Dr. Sarah was confident, calm, and reassuring. She took incredible time and care with my temporaries--they were secure, comfortable, and shaped beautifully, which immediately put me at ease. For the first time, I wasn't worried they would fall out. When it came time for the permanent veneers, we were unsure about the color at first, but Dr. Sarah said to try them in and reassured me we could redo them if needed. She was right--they were a perfect match. She even scheduled a follow-up to make sure I was completely happy. Dr. Sarah and her assistant were patient, meticulous, and truly passionate about their work. After years of stress over this process, I finally feel at ease knowing my smile is in expert hands, and I'm so grateful I found Brielle Dentistry.

I went there for an emergency root canal, which went well, although I had to wait in the chair doing nothing for 45 minutes, before they finally started working on me, consequently making me late for work. Everyone was very nice and apologetic, but that was a bad first impression for me. They pushed the comprehensive dental exam for a later date, which I did get. They found many many issues with my teeth and gums, which really surprised me, as I practice excellent oral hygiene every day. Long story short - I moved to another state not long after this and found a dentist here, who did the exact same exam - all the bite-wing and panoramic x-rays, photos, physical exam, etc., and found only a tiny fraction of what Brielle "found." For example - Brielle told me I needed to get 2 back teeth extracted. I knew of one tooth, given what was going on, but the other tooth they wanted to extract turned out to be perfectly healthy and fine, with absolutely no need to extract, per my current dentist. Brielle also pointed out other work I needed to get done - another example: deep scaling - while the dentist I go to now found no issues whatsoever with my gums. And there were others. Needless to say, I would never to back to them.

WARNING: This office had poor hygiene practices, a VERY dismissive Dr., & I'd read this review…read morecarefully before deciding whether to see this physician or go to this office. I had a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Zohn & I feel compelled to share it. I don't care how experienced he is or that he's about 80; although I wish I had known that before my visit, as frankly, at his age, if he can't treat patients with the care they deserve, maybe it's time to retire!! I'm a cancer patient & came in for a follow-up after a procedure. After waiting about 30 minutes, I politely asked if the staff could wash their hands before examining me. Instead of addressing my concern, Dr. Zohn LITERALLY walked out & sent a staff member to place cotton in my mouth. After she finished, she said I was done & could leave. I was stunned. And not in a good way. I asked if Dr. Zohn could come back & examine my tooth? After all, that is why I went to the trouble of going to his office for my visit, & I still had concerns & have some discomfort. The young gal staff member incredulously goes next-door & in ear-shot, says that I "insist" on him seeing me. First of all, I never used those words! 2nd of all to say I "insist on a doctor seeing me" is kind of a farce, given that's the whole point of my appt! I went for a follow-up. Why should I have to even ask that the dr look at my teeth?! Geesh. Reality really is more absurd than fiction. It gets worse. He makes me wait about another hr, & I didn't leave his office for about 11/2 hrs. Meanwhile, a mom in the wait area explains how he convinced her daughter to undergo a 2nd procedure while I was left waiting. His prioritization of other patients over my needs felt EXTREMELY dismissive. Finally, Dr. Zohn came out & asked, "What can I do for you?" despite this being my follow-up appt. I wanted him to assess how my mouth was healing, but he seemed oblivious, suggesting I should come back in a month for a follow-up, but this WAS my one month follow-up!! I gently explained this (at this point I should've gotten an award for having the patience of a saint!) so when he finally did come back he touched my tooth for a millisecond, & if he spent 20 seconds with me, up to a full minute, there's no reason he couldn't do so prior to his surgeries. FYI, I did have a 2 PM appt. So why should I have to wait for over an hr to an hour & a half?! Oh, yeah, surgeries bring $'s Worse, I don't believe he even changed his gloves from the previous procedure before briefly touching my tooth & declaring it fine. I know this because he came out of the operating room w the gloves on, had no inclination or thought that he was going to bring me back to another exam room, until I asked him to do so, & even suggested I come back in another month. So he reluctantly went back with me to the exam room & I strongly believe he still had the same gloves on, & this after I already explained how I had cancer & hoped he would take safeguards like washing hands before touching me!! Being dismissive is bad enough. Making me wait an hour & a half is another thing. But if you don't change your gloves and/or wash hands between patients, ANY patient, but especially one with an immuno-compromised system, this is a Dr who should no longer be practicing medicine, regardless of lifetime skill!!! That is just negligence. I don't know the legal definition but generally speaking, it is negligent behavior. I don't know the skill of any of his colleague physicians, but this reflects badly on the whole office. I even suggested to the office manager that if Dr. Zohn not comfortable with follow-ups, maybe he should ask one of his colleagues to do that on his behalf. She said that the physicians don't do that. OK. Well this doctor didn't do his due diligence; hence posting this review warning others. Again, he may be skilled. I will acknowledge that my pain level has decreased significantly since the procedure but in itself, that is insufficient. I needed this person to treat me like a human, and actually check on my mouth in a timely and good & hygienic manner. It's great that he was using Hebrew/Yiddish terms with who I believe to be his Orthodox patient. I too am Jewish, so I almost felt like I should say that to him because they were getting absolute preferred treatment. (I am not Orthodox, however). But all patients should be treated the same regardless of their religious proclivities. As a patient who had kept every appt, paid on time, in full, and even brought him a thank-you gift, I expected better treatment. The lack of awareness regarding hygiene protocols in this day and age is EXTREMELY alarming, especially with viruses circulating. Overall, the care I received was unacceptable. The way a physician treats their patients matters, and dismissiveness can overshadow even the best skills. I hope my experience can save someone else from a similar fate. If you're considering this office, proceed with caution
