I parked at this garage for about 1 hr and 2 minutes and I had my parking ticket with me but I…read moreforgot my wallet at home (You get free 1 hour parking). They only accept credit cards so if you have cash, sorry you will pay a citation. I tried to call the assistance phone but the operator was extremely rude and when I had a question "Is this citation going through the DMV? Do I get looked up or do I get point off my license?" The only thing he was able to say was "I cant give you any information, we have your license plate and you'll be charged at the address listed in your license plate." And he HUNG UP! That's it. I was willing to pay $2 in cash, I had it handy. My husband is a witness because he was listening to the whole conversation through the phone, I was desperate. I was disappointed by the public parking especially in a well-known area such as downtown. If you can, please try to park in the street, you will have less headaches. It was embarrassingly saddening. I'm giving 2 stars because it is convenient to have MANY parking spots in one building and the place semi-clean but not worth the terrible assistance and very slow elevators (for handicap).

Free parking! Came…read moredowntown Saturday and couldn't find street parking so we parked in this garage. The garage is clean and does not smell (rare for parking garages). The elevator is slow as molasses, about 4 minute wait. Cannot beat free parking!! This place is positioned in the heart of downtown Greenville and is in the middle of the shops.

This garage had everything! It had a place for cars to come in, a place for cars to go out, and…read morelines on the ground to show you where to park! It even had a counter that showed you how many spots were available before you pulled in! When I pulled in, I received a piece of paper. When I left, I scanned the piece of paper, and scanned my credit card, and it charged me the exact correct amount! It was all automatic, and I did not have to speak to or deal with an attendant! Isn't the 21st-century great? We were there on a Thursday afternoon, and the downtown area was definitely hopping. We had no trouble getting in or out. The garage was conveniently located near to the downtown area. Coincidence? I think not. This is such a great garage I'm sure that when the age of George Jetson comes, this parking garage will be perfect for flying cars. Except the entry and exit will be at the top.

Yes, I'm reviewing a parking garage. Why? 'Cause it's great. The first hour is free (with a…read morecaveat, later). That is *PERFECT* for someone passing through for lunch. It's large enough that I've never found it full (same caveat). It's incredibly convenient to reach coming from the north or south. There are street-level exits onto Rankin and Walnut, and apparently a bridge over to the Civic Center on Haywood. The Rankin exit is a block and a half from plenty of good food and coffee on Lexington. The Walnut exit's half a block from Malaprop's & Chocolate Fetish, a block and a half from the Woolworth Walk, and roughly two blocks from Grove Arcade, College St., and Wall St. with all sorts of great food. It's conveniently a little farther from the Thirsty Monk, Jack of the Wood, etc. The chill in the winter might help if you're visiting those. The location is great for a quick lunch & coffee stop. Ok, the caveat. This is the Civic Center's garage. If there's an event going on, event rules apply. The price is higher, and the garage will run out of spots. But that's understandable. I've only encountered that once, and it was later in the evening than I'd like to admit.
