not an outstanding wal-mart by any means, not my normal location or neighborhood either. came here to pick up some picture frames, as my local wal-mart didnt have stock, the photo frame section here is a disaster, literally an aisle with frames everywhere with no rhime or reason as to why something was where. complete nightmare. i did manage to find 2 frames that i needed, but it took me 20 minutes to rifle through everything. thats all i needed so i left the store and did the self check out, which ten times out of ten, i will do. i left the store and had a laugh as security was sitting down on his phone and didnt bother looking up as i walked by. alot of this store looks well kept, just the aisle that i went to was brutal. lots of parking at this location, and not bad to get into and out of. read more

Wow what a huge supermarket. My favorite place. I can spend few hrs there. Prices are good. There was a huge sale so loved moving around.

I am always here because it's so close but I am always disappointed. I feel like I should call ahead sometimes because they are so frequently out of what I'm looking for. Most times I think to myself, I should just go to the one in Brampton after work, but I'd rather run errands on my lunch. More times than not they do not carry what I am looking for even though I've seen it at other locations. This is the worst Wal Mart I've ever been to in terms of merchandise. read more

Walmart Supercenter, hmmm, what can I say here that would add value. We already know about the service issues with these big box stores, the attitudes, unwilling staff, pay for your own bags and pricing that goes up and rolls back to regular prices, etc. Oh, did you realise this place stocks items at the end isles just willy nilly and makes it look like its on clearance? The reality is, its not, nor do they say clearance, but, color wise, they even put up a sign with no price on the top of the rack to make it seem happier. Also, many popular items are not stocked at this location forcing you to either go elsewhere or buy something else, my bet is something else. Happy shopping & good luck y'all. read more

I don't mind the lay-out of this Walmart but what I DO mind is the pushy elderly indian lady with the glasses at the cashier. She's the one who holds up the whooooole line trying to get you to sign up for a Walmart card. I understand the perks, but if you do not want to sign up she literally questions you as to WHY you don't want it. She'll pretty much hold your sale hostage until you give her some explanation as to why you don't want to. I work fairly close to the Walmart so I'm always dreading seeing her at the cash. She's usually in the express cash set up with other cashiers and I'm always in the express line because I usually only need an item or two. My heart beats with anxiety hoping that my the ding that directs you to the next cashier doesn't direct me to her. I'm not over-exaggerating. I've been there over 5x and she's crazy pushy. It will take you AT LEAST 3 min to pay for ONE ITEM if you go to her. I don't know if this is a company wide pushy tactic but the other cashiers seem to take a simple "no thanks" with ease. read more

This Walmart is always a mess. Staff are rude and disrespectful. Clothing areas and toys are completely disorganized. Online orders for pickup often provide substitutions despite selecting not to have substitutions and when you go into the store the items that were out of stock are almost always found on the shelf. Staff accused me of moving a clearance tag onto an item found on clearance rack (which was full of items by the same brand name) and as soon as I showed the cashier that the price rang up wrong she started peeling off the clearance tag that clearly was in perfect condition and not moved from another item as she insinuated to my face. When she escalated to manager for assistance again insinuating I changed the label instead of accepting it was in fact a clearance item or even mislabeled by their staff. Returned after checking the price with a different item and said it's not on sale and has fully removed the clearance tag of the original item. Don't blame mistakes by your staff on your customers. This review is strictly of the Pharmacy Department. I had taken my partner to the hospital due to stomach pains and after a series of tests, they wrote a prescription for some pretty strong pain killers. We were told that the onsite pharmacy at the hospital was closed and that the prescription could be filled by any pharmacist. As this store is at the top of our street, we stopped in to have the prescription filled on the way back to the hospital for a CAT scan. When we approached the counter to drop off the medication, the pharmacist was less than welcoming. He said that we'd have to wait a moment as he had just gotten in and needed to "do a few things" before assisting us. We waited a few moments and then he came back to the counter. He read the prescription and said that the medication was a narcotic and that he had to speak to the doctor who wrote the prescription. We explained that it was from a Dr. who worked at William Osler Hospital in Brampton, so he had to contact the Dr. there. He told us to wait a few moments while he called. Well..I don't know what happened but he came back and said that he couldn't reach the doctor and that he would not fill the prescription without speaking to the doctor. My partner was is great pain (which was clearly visible), but the pharmacist said we weren't regulars at the pharmacy and that he could not authenticate the prescription. In other words...we were accused of not having a valid prescription. I was flabbergasted at his approach. We asked for the prescription back...went to a Shoopers Drugmart and had no issues filling the prescription. When we told the person at Shoppers what happened at Walmat, she laughed and said "I wouldn't call that a pharmacy". I will NEVER go to this store again for a prescription. read more

My recent update from 6 months ago! Very disappointing experience in the produce isle! Most of the food is either covered in mould or old and mushy! And yes I'm finding expired food on the shelves!!! Why even put it out for sale?? After reading the very low reviews, I felt I had to put inn my 5cents. I do agree with many previous reviews; but that's in the past! I myself have been very disappointed when there would be very minimal stock or non-whatsoever in items that I am interested in purchasing the day of. Especially organic Milk for our children, it happened many times within the year that I have lived near this location. Due to this location being so close to my home I visit it regularly, it had occurred to me one day to approach a couple of managers and comment on the fact that they are constantly missing the product that I would come out to get. RECENTLY they have really improved! They regularly stock their product including the fresh produce, dairy and bread. I am also very proud to announce that they have started an organic section, including fresh produce and dairy even gluten-free products such as bread crackers and even some desserts!! It is not a full sized or a 'large' location, so they many not have every single item as some other locations, but they do have what you'd NEED. And u will repeat, since it's what's most important to our family; they now have a brand new organic section(s) and gluten free!! So give it another shot! You may be pleasantly surprised! I even mentioned to ones agent that I'm happy to see positive improvement. Including more cash registers open during busy times. And when there's something I don't like, I'll mention it to someone, because that's the only way we can see change! There's still some more room for improvement, but we are moving in the right direction :) read more

Empty shelf's out of stock item like many times no eggs on the shelf, forcing you to use self checkout by not having enough cashiers even there is long line sometimes only one or two cash counter open.If you give them coupon cashier go to manager to verify that. read more

This store is not managed properly. Like many have said, the shelves are usually empty and the sale items are nowhere to be found. The staff do look miserable and are on their phones making calls or simply playing games/social media. The most annoying aspect of shopping here is the lack of cashiers they have present when there are lines. You will see a group of "managers" sitting next to the podium and doing nothing about it. Then you are bombarded with the stupid credit card they want you to buy. The associates do not care if the line is all the way down to the milk section they will force that stupid credit card on you. I prefer to drive out of my way to the No Frills/Price Co./Fortino's/Longo's within that area. To the store manager, you need to take some notes from your district manager on how to run a store. He was a great store manager at the Richmond Hill location. read more

I see by previous reviews of this store; that I am not the only one disappointed by the deterioration of service & mismanagement. Unlike any other walmart, this one strives for the worst. For the entire 15 minutes I was in stationary dept I watched as an employee wearing blue-jeans with her i.d. pinned to the front of her pants in front of her crotch........ as she worked one-handed, because she has her cell phone to her ear with the other hand. That was impressive the one-handed approach to shelving and organizing!! Wow, wonder if that was a part of the training the store boasts about? Her phone conversation (that I was obligated to hear) was about her personal life & relations outside the walmart. The best part of the whole disturbing experience was her yellow badge hung between her legs read ""support manager"" {NADIA} Unbelievable !!!! this is a person to manage the store?!?! So who should a customer go to with a complaint, if the manager is the problem? I only shop at this location as a last resort, because it is close to my home. Otherwise I would not step through the doors. This store is in need in of an overhaul from the top administration down. Sadly, the best staff members are the area's students 'part-timers' working to pay for school/tuition. But how long will these young people work ethically and retain values, when they are among lazy, delinquent, slackers? The expression " ONE BAD APPLE, RUINS THE WHOLE BUNCH " This walmart has --BAD APPLES-- , save yourself the aggravation if you can and shop elsewhere. The male pharmacist at this location is horrible. What's funny is that I see on the pic fire picture board in the back wall that he is the pharmacy manager. He is rude, disrespectful and I honestly feel quite uncomfortable knowing he is preparing my meds. I stopped coming to this pharmacy because of him. read more

This is a review of the Medical Walk-in Clinic and Pharmacy. I am now 3 weeks as a non-smoker thanks to the help of the team here at Wal-Mart Maple. The staff, courteous and knowledgeable. Wait times almost non-existent. The Doctor, was patient, attentive and cares about doing a great job. Thanks again to the entire team! read more
