Saw reviews for Susie and needed a last minute booking in Key West. Figured I'm on vacation so why…read morenot let someone else help me. Susie acted as though she got me a great deal on a hotel room and time was of the essence. According to her, it was half the price as normal. I agreed to the price and gave her my card info. Turns out, all she did was just take my card and book the room online (I could have easily done this). She never emailed me any confirmation info and just said "all set." Then texts me a screenshot where she used HER contact information for MY booking. When I asked if she could coordinate an early arrival she declined saying she doesn't contact the hotel for her guests? What a strange way to respond as a TRAVEL AGENT. I, myself, took the whopping 10 minutes to call and confirm the booking, and arrange an early arrival, with zero help from Susie. When I got to the hotel, it turns out it was actually $100 more than what Susie had quoted me!!! but by then obviously it's too late. Post vacation, I asked Susie yet again to email me confirmation of my stay so that I can use it for my records and now she has just stopped responding. Congrats, Susie, on taking a "well deserved commission" on my behalf. Steer clear of her services, save the headache and just book your own room online, that's all she does anyway.

If you're looking for a beautiful place to relax in the Florida Keys, Tranquility Bay is definitely…read moreworth considering. The rooms and bathrooms are surprisingly spacious, with multiple room configurations available. Many of the suites could easily accommodate a family of four or five. We weren't traveling as a family, though we were there for a romantic getaway, and it was the perfect setting for that as well. The property has three pools, giving everyone options. There's a huge main pool, a nice-sized adults-only pool (which was a bit of a walk from our room, but we still spent most of our pool time there), and a smaller pool right outside our room that we absolutely loved. We visited during one of the hottest weeks of the year, so the smaller pool felt more like a warm bath than a refreshing swim...but that's Florida in July! One nice features was the protected swimming area in the ocean. It was such a fun place to cool off, float, and enjoy the beautiful water. The tiki bar overlooking the ocean is gorgeous and has the perfect island vibe. There's also a small restaurant on the property that opens for dinner after 5:00 p.m., but pretty $$$ One unexpected bonus was the amazing Cuban restaurant directly across the street. We ate there several times during our stay (I'll be writing a separate review because it deserves one!). Another great attraction is the Turtle Hospital, which is literally next door. It's an inspiring place to visit and made it easy to enjoy an educational outing before heading back to relax at the resort. A few things to know before you go: * Pool service is available, but if you're expecting quick cabana-style service, be prepared to wait. * There is one small fitness center, and it's also where the ice machine is located. We were lucky because our room was nearby. * If you use a lot of ice, consider bringing a cooler and extra ice with you. Most rooms have refrigerators, but not all include a freezer, as an example ours did not. But lucked out on location *room 107 What truly set Tranquility Bay apart, however, was the staff. During a small medical issue I experienced, their response went far beyond simply following protocol. They were there immediately, but what impressed us even more was the genuine concern they showed afterward. There's a difference between employees who are simply protecting the company and those who truly care about their guests as people. The team at Tranquility Bay showed us they genuinely care, and we'll never forget that kindness. We also had an issue with my husband's motorcycle, and Jose was there right away to help. His willingness to jump in without hesitation is another example of the outstanding customer service we experienced throughout our stay. Beautiful property, spacious accommodations, relaxing pools, stunning ocean views, and a staff that treats you like family, that combination is what makes Tranquility Bay a place we'd happily recommend. Whether you're planning a family vacation or a romantic escape, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

If you need a taxi in Key Largo, call Reef Runaround. My husband and I decided the night before…read morethat we needed a taxi to go diving, but I was so worried we would never make it on time because of past experience and all the bad reviews on other taxi companies. We had to be at the dive shop at 8am to check in and prepare our gear. We ask that the cab arrive at 7:15 even though our destination was only 15 minutes away. We wanted to have some flexibility in case the diver came late. We were not disappointed. At 7am we got a call that the taxi was at the entrance of our resort, but were told not to worry since he was early. I was so relieved we wouldn't miss the dive boat. The diver was the owner of the company (forgot his name) and he was the nicest man ever. The car was very clean and looked quite new and the ride was comfortable without any unnecessary sudden stops. The 15 minute trip cost $19 and the timer didn't start until we got in the car which was exactly at 7:15am. They accept credit cards, but there is a $1 service charge. We mentioned that we would need a ride back to our resort after the dive and were told to not worry and just call at least 15 minutes early. We ended up getting a ride back to the resort with a fellow diver who was also staying there, but the taxi called us to see if we still needed a ride. I was so impressed they took the time to make sure we were ok. Seriously, I will never use any other taxi service in Key Largo, Tavernier or Islamorada area of Florida. Their number is 603.986.0734.
