It was an average experience at best, the doctor was very smarmy. Then after everything is done, they tell you that the only way to check if it worked is that you must purchase this kit from an external company. Well the kit scammed me. I followed all of the procedures they outlined, I mailed in the specimen, and the company (Fellow) has no record of anything. I've tried contacting the company but all you interact with is AI slop, so it's a dead end. I've tried calling the doctor's office, but after 30 minutes of their horrible phone interface, I'm back where I started. You should avoid this place at all costs.

Husband and I went in because he has been in pain for the past 4 months and after 17 docter's / specialists nobody seems to have a clue. Long story , short ...... Docter from this location was the most inappropriate, unprofessional and all around 100% unacceptable. she walked in and within seconds diagnosed with NO exam or tests. YES i understand that they are going to look at past tests and all that was done prior to that visit. HOWEVER, why the hell would you not want to run your own tests????? if you see that the patient has been in pain for the past 3 months, has lost about 15 pounds within 3 weeks and has been having problems eating and sleeping...... WHY NOT? what will it hurt. isn't it better to be sure that no one has missed anything?? ALSO,the "docter" noted that the pain and problem is from the wrong area. She didn't bother to listen to a word we said and didn't ask much questions. ON TOP OF IT ALL.. she said that we should NOT have even been scheduled to see her and should have been with another specialist!!!! Then says he should look into surgery and that surgery may but will most likely NOT do a thing. WHAT ????!!!! I cannot say this enough... stay away from this office. SUCKS because I'm sure they have some decent docter's but any office who would hire someone so off the wall is enough for me to write them off ...completely.

I called to ask for tordal for the weekend bc I could tell it's close. She asked the PA ( doc out of town) and the PA came back saying that no need for surgery if you don't pass bc the notes from the ER said I passed 1. Their office diagnosed me and they can't read their notes? Makes me not confident at all in the practice. I had my operation (to handle a kidney stone) cancelled 3 days before it was scheduled (due to a…read morescheduling mistake on their end). At which time, I spent the next month trying to find something that worked to reschedule it... I was basically given the ultimatum of a much more painful and invasive surgery or spend an extra $1200 out of pocket. Mind you, we had something scheduled and agreed to for a MONTH before it was cancelled on me last minute. After sometime trying to find a date and location, I was told they wouldn't be able to fit me in months. This was honestly the worst experience I've had with a medical practice, to be totally blunt. I understand things happen but I feel I was treated with absolute disregard and I had to bother people along the way for everything... there was nothing down proactively to advocate for me at the patient, NOTHING. Even to get a referral took my reaching out more than once after being yanked around for two months or so. This cost me a LOT of unnecessary pain with a stone I was unable to pass during this whole ordeal too, mind you. I'll refrain from naming a particular doctor though, which is more than polite of me to be honest. I'd have been better served to have just seen another practice, who got me in in less than a week and actually seemed to care. I'd suggest looking for another practice, but this was simply MY awful experience in all openness too. There are far better practices in the area though if you don't want to be treated as nothing but a digit on a spreadsheet and with absolute disregard.

In July, the urologist said I should get an MRI and handed me off to the scheduling staff to get information on where the MRI referral should be sent. After sitting around waiting, I met the scheduler who said it might take her three weeks for the insurance review and to send the referral. I heard nothing for over four weeks and messaged the urologist on the portal. No response. I then called a few days later and was sent to voicemail where I left a message. Again, no response. A week later, I sent another message on the portal pleading for some response. I did not get the courtesy of a reply. After more than six weeks, I finally went to see my GP who was able to refer me the next business day for an MRI based on the urologist's notes she was provided. Now, almost two months later, I still have heard nothing from Associated Urologists of North Carolina responding to my messages or call. I will not be going back.
