I have been here many times for my son's soccer & swim team practice as well as just coming to play and have fun. Personally, I have been here for yoga classes as well as PT including aquatic PT. You can purchase a class pass or pay a one day fee or you sign up for a wide variety of classes offered year round. On Wednesdays they have a local farmers market out in the parking lot. In the second lesson, Adam taught our son skateboarding up and down ramps. It's incredible how fast he can teach a child to skateboard. Kids of all ages will like the skate park, and the basketball hoops. Also the fields are fun for kite or drone flying. This is a rather large park. You can get exercise on the tennis courts, or cook on the grills here. The covered patios with tables, make for a decent birthday celebration spot. Also there's a volleyball area too. April 2023 Park updates:…read more Pedestrian bridge is now open! I recently took the opportunity to both ride my bike and to walk the 4 mile loop around Lake Accotink. So happy now that the pedestrian bridge is open so I can start at the marina and complete the loop without having to turn around at the mid-point. The children's playground is closed for repairs until further notice. A message on the park's website indicates there is no timetable for when repairs will be completed: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/lake-accotink Bummer since I came here this past weekend with my niece and nephew and they weren't able to enjoy the facilities. Oh well, at least we were still able to enjoy the nature trail.
