Our dog is very nervous around strangers, but our weekend away went so smooth for him thanks to Lindsey. I always feel a bit guilty leaving my Bengal cat behind when I take off but what can you do? Thankfully, Raleigh Pet Sitters has become a reliable part of the team that makes my traveling life a bit easier with pet-sitting and general home upkeep. Before you sign up as a client they do an in-house visit to first get the details, smart idea. At $19/day for a visit which includes taking care of kitty-fido, grabbing mail and more, I've used them several times over the last year or so. They've been reliable and good with communications while I'm out. They also try to pair you up with the same pet-sitter for consistency which is a nice plus. And if you follow their Facebook page, they post regularly on their visits which is a good way to stay engaged. So overall no complaints about Raleigh Pet Sitters, they have done a very solid job for me and yeah, I'm pretty sure I'll be using them again. If I could only get my cat out from under the bed while I'm gone, now that would be a pet-sitting miracle...

She cancelled bc she felt unwell, ok I understood bc I got sick then too and changed the time bc she claimed she understood. I had to follow up again bc I never heard from her. She cancelled the same day bc of a storm that barely last an hour. Finally we got to meet and I was 3 minutes late and I think she decided to be done. And formed her opinion. I have had nearly 15 year of experience watching animals and she said multiple positions were open. I got a rejection stating they gave it to someone else. Most of her people I think are students and inexperienced from my interaction. I also won't use them bc none of their sitters have CPR/aid or state they can give medication to pets. If the owner can't even make it to interviews I can't trust she will help a clients pets due to rain or even a snow storm if she has no other sitters. I've found another places services to use for my dog so either way. I also formed my opinion I can't trust you with my girl.

Having someone we can rely on to come over and take care of our dog when we are out of town has been really wonderful. His staff really cares about the routine that you have with your dog, making sure that the experience is as easy and consistent as possible. The attention our dog gets is just fantastic and when we get back home, we're greeted every time by a happy pup and report of every visit. It's really difficult to find someone you trust to have access to your home, and care of a family member, but All Breed Care made it very easy. We're moving out of the area soon and we can only hope to find dog sitters as responsible, caring and trust-worth. I can't recommend them enough!!!

The other one is sweet natured, but barks incessantly in any new situation or when other people or dogs are encountered. They both love Amber, and she is better able to handle them than any dog trainer I have used. (And I have used numerous.) Amber not only provides walks and play time, but it is clear that she has been helping to train the dogs. They have shown significantly improved behavior on walks after she has been working with them. She is extremely patient with them and clearly cares for them. Both dogs love her, and I can't imagine using anyone else. Amber has provided daily walks for extra exercise and has also cared for them when I was traveling. Neither dog seems to miss me when I am out of town....which I consider to be the best recommendation possible! She seems to truly understand them and goes out of her way to make sure they are happy and comfortable. She is an absolute natural around dogs, and I'd recommend her to anybody.

It turned out I found out I am traveling for the holiday and needed to find someone to watch my kitty. I was lost. It was a week from Christmas making finding an opening a Herculean task. Enter Yelp and all of the great businesses! I found the reference for Phoebe's and really liked what I read. I called to make an appointment and the owner Melissa got right back to me. We set an appointment to meet the next day in the afternoon and she would bring the sitter. I was nervous because while my girl is friendly, she is VERY particular. I didn't have to worry. She immediately took to Sheena putting all of my anxiety to rest. They both asked great questions on my cat's care and wanted to know everything on how to give the best care. They went over everything from food to litter to cost...which considering the timing is not bad. It's $20 per visit and they would cover everything from feeding to getting the mail to taking out the trash. If you need to leave town and need someone to take care of your beloved fur baby...don't hesitate! I'm sure Melissa and her crew will be more than happy to take on the job!

I initially chose her because of her RVT background. On the initial interview she blew me away with her questionnaire. She was very specific about learning their habits and asked about the pet emergency kit! That's when I knew she was serious! She's been doing daily walks for over a year. My husband and I are nurses and we have ever changing schedules and Melissa has shown so much flexibility with us. I feel so lucky to have her daily medical and behavioral assessments. She has helped us enrich the lives of our dogs by making suggestions for treat puzzles, stroller for my old man dog, minimizing competitive behaviors, and urgent trips to the vet. I can't emphasize her influence here enough. She truly cares about the physical and mental health of the boys. She takes extra special care of my elderly 17 year old man dog. They love her so much they howl when they see her drive up! She is also quite the photographer. It's wonderful to receive pictures of my boys enjoying their day with her while I'm at work. Many of them are "frame-worthy." We feel so lucky to have gotten a spot with Melissa, peace of mind with your pets is priceless! I also want to say that Melissa found an injured turtle in my neighbor's driveway. She took it to NCState for treatment. She is an angel!

One of our dogs gets very anxious and aggressive around new people. It takes a long time for him to recognize new people as being safe. One of the caregivers came over for a temperament test and it didn't go well at all. I had high hopes that they could work with him but I quickly realized that they couldn't, and she agreed. The issue is the there is no guarantee that the same sitter will come to your home to watch your pets. I contacted them several months in advance and they still could not work with me to have one person watch my dogs. I understand that this is how they run their business and respect it. That said, I would only recommend them if your dogs are not anxious like mine and are okay with different people coming over to watch them.

He pulled on the leash, barked at the door, and had bouts of aggression when he didn't get his way. I felt uneasy having guests over because I felt like I had no control over my dog. Basically, my dog owned me.. not vis versa. He did ~2 weeks of the board and train program at SMS Raleigh and even though we were nervous to send him away (it felt like forever!), we loved getting bi-weekly updates from his trainer and seeing his progress. Training Ollie will always be a work in progress but the biggest different we have seen is that HE LISTENS! Hallelujah. My friends come over and say they see a huge difference in him - he's calm, sweet, and charming. He is still a dog.. he does bark at the mailman, and sometimes pulls on the leash, but if we correct him, he is happy to obey. I also love the fact that we have free access to the group classes 2x a week and have the opportunity to continue training him. Dogs want to please their owners, so once you have their attention their instinct takes over and training becomes easier. The strides and response to this training are remarkable. So pleased with the results so far. I am happy and more importantly my dog is happy. We have only had 3 private whole day training sessions, and tonight we will attend our first group training. Looking forward to this as it can only help build on the foundation established in the private 3 lessons. The training is not inexpensive, however it cheaper than replacing carpet not to mention several pairs of shoes, baseboards ETC. I recommend sitting down with Colby or any of the other trainers and let them explain why this works. You won't have any regrets. Rick W
