Justin even offered to help me unload, but it was even better to see how much the cats loved them! Then last week my husband got called into work and I called the number on their website at 5:30 am to leave a message that my dog will not be able to keep the grooming appointment. The next day owner called and yelled at me for calling so early and that was her personal phone number and woke her up. She then hung up and would not even let me explain. Called today trying to think she was just having a bad day and tried to make another appointment and was told that I was not welcomed back and I was rude!! I had a voucher to get my dog neutered. They were so incredibly friendly and helpful and I never…read morefelt judged. I called a few closer vets that accepted the voucher but they never called back‍. I called midday and spoke to the tech who told me everything went well and I could pick him up at 3:30. I asked if I could come at 4pm instead because I had to get my daughter from school. It was no issue for them. When I arrived they explained everything to me and gave me his pain medication. And what's super impressive and super important to me is that they brought him back to me without a muzzle! His normal vet is good with him but on a few occasions I had to bring him to an emergency vet where he needed to be muzzled and his previous vet required that also. Idk if my dog just doesn't like a certain temperament of people or if they were just super awesome with him!! It is a drive for me and they are a "smaller" practice but I'm considering transferring my fur boy there because they were amazing with him! They also made sure to tell me that if I had any issues or concerns about his stitches or anything related to the surgery to call and if needed to bring him back in and they also let me know it was a free charge. (Not sure if this was only because I had a voucher or was for everyone who was spayed/neutered) but I super appreciated it! My boy is now comfortably sleeping on the couch at home! Oh, and they had these two adorable cats free roaming inside. They were so cuddly!! My daughter loved petting the one.

For those who may not be aware, Tar River Veterinary Hospital is under new ownership. Our pets have…read morebeen patients there for nearly five years, but that relationship has now come to an end. About 10 days ago, our daughter brought her beloved cat to Tar River Veterinary Hospital for a flea issue. A veterinary technician applied a topical flea treatment during that visit. Yesterday, after continuing to see fleas, our daughter called the office to ask whether a second treatment was necessary. She was told yes and instructed to bring the cat in. When she arrived, a second dose of the same medication was applied. Only after administering the treatment did the technician review the chart and realize the cat had already received the identical medication just nine days earlier--far too soon for another dose. At that point, they quickly washed the application area with Dawn dish soap and instructed her to take the cat home and monitor for signs of overdose, including drooling, seizures, or neurological symptoms. She was told that if any of these occurred, she should take the cat to an emergency veterinarian. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the error, and no offer to keep the cat for observation--despite having just warned her of potentially serious side effects. She was simply sent home to monitor the situation on her own. The following day, my wife went to the clinic seeking an explanation and to express our concerns about how the situation was handled. One would expect the first question to be whether the cat was okay--but that was not the case. This entire experience was extremely stressful and deeply disappointing. It has left us with little confidence in the clinic's attention to detail or concern for patient safety. As a result, we will not be returning.

We used Ulti-mutt wags and play for the first time while we were away over the Christmas holiday,…read moreKelsey stayed in our home for the overnights with Hobie and it worked out awesome, we weren't sure if they would send pictures/videos and right from the start Kelsey was sending them and keeping in contact with us, Hobie is routine oriented and she kept us posted so we knew he was staying with all his routines, once I mentioned he loved car rides she started taking him when she left for short trips for food etc, she made sure her last visit was very timely to our return, she stripped the bed and cleaned up, we arrived home, to a very happy Hobie and a clean house, she also brought in the mail and some deliveries we had, we feel like we have made a new friend and Hobie definitely was super spoiled (like we do ) , we definitely looking forward to using their services again soon Jay Julie and Hobie
