If this is your sort of thing though, Model Zone is a good compromise between cheap, knock-off memorabilia and the full-on, second-mortgage-requiring stuff you get in comic shops, with the added bonus of having loads of model making stuff thrown in. If you're not old enough to have yet rediscovered how cool things like train sets and Scalextric actually were, then this isn't the place for you - it's strictly dads and the old-at-heart only in here.

This realy is the best model shop i have seen in ages way better than modelzone, the staff are very…read morefriendly and helpfull, they have new and 2nd hand items, a layout that takes up half the shop so you can see locos running before you decide to buy them, realy reasonable prices and have given me discount in past as i go there quite often either tradeing or buying stuff from them. easy to find ust down road from morley town hall, plenty of busses go out and stop just near the shop, they have a surpriseing amount for the size of the shop as they have filled every avalible inch of space thay can. there web site could do with updateing but like a lot of people they probably just don't have the time http://millennium-models.co.uk/ would highly recomend this shop or at least pay a visit

Had I have known this place was here I wouldn't of taken him anywhere near it as predictably he spent nearly an hour here gawping. The stuff is a little freaky for my liking, creepy looking marks and all manner of gargoyles and action figures. After much resistance I finally gave in and allowed him to get something that looked half alien half wolf. He did try to explain to me what it was but I wasn't really listening. The best part though was that he had been a grumpy teenager for most of the trip but after a little while in this shops he was positively cheery.

I took a machine for repair to them once but the price quoted seemed very steep, so I just toted it back home again. It was extremely heavy, I thought my arms were going to come out of their sockets! So there's your lesson: try to describe a sewing machine problem over the phone to an engineer and get a quote based on that, if you're not a driver! However, they seem to have a nice range of machines for sale and the staff are very pleasant.
