Even had fresh local scones from the secret bakery in Wolfeboro. One thing should be mentioned. They have 6 dogs on the property. If you don't like dogs or are allergic, this is not the place for you. But for me, it was great. I love dogs. There were well behaved and the whole property is invisible fenced, including the inside. The downtown grill double booked our rehearsal dinner and gave the space to another party, (that's a separate yelp uggh ) our dinner plans were squashed, "the cottages" stepped in and helped us accommodate a group of 20 to 30 people catering from Morrisseys Front Porch and using the outdoor areas on a beautiful summer night the evening was a smashing success. I will say that one of the best parts of my son's wedding was being able to stay at the cottages where we all gathered and had an amazing time we were due to leave on Monday, but extended our stay till Wednesday. the proximity of this property to stores and restaurants made everything so easy . Connie was knowledgeable about the town and offered us recommendations for dinner. Wally was insightful about the surrounding lakes. We were very fortunate to have found them. Connie and Wally showed us about the property- very beautiful Old New England charm and our hosts kindly allowed us to park our boat behind the building and let us charge it. The common areas were very pleasant and relaxed. Our room was very clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable. The bathroom was beautifully updated with a fun and spacious Jacuzzi tub for two. ;) We had the most delectable breakfast. Wally wakes up 2 hours before breakfast to make the batter for the pancakes. I hope that wasn't a secret! But I'm sure there is more to it as they are crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside! I would love to learn how he does this! We sat outside in the afternoon to enjoy some mid September sun in the chairs that were available. This is a very old house with high ceilings and big spacious rooms, which makes up for the tiny bathroom. There is a very nice gift shop maybe 1/2 mile down the road (Vickie's) and we were able to do some shopping and have a great lunch in Cornish about 1/2 hour drive away. Limerick is a very friendly little town and the B&B is a great place to unwind.

Have stayed here about 4 times over the past few years visiting our children at summer camp. The owners, Janet and Doug, are wonderfully friendly and charming folks who I have really enjoyed getting to know. Their home is a lovely old farm house with a great deal of charm; lots of antiques, some low ceilings, creaky floors, antique locks on the doors, etc. The rooms are small, but comfortable. You'll find a few cob webs and a little dust, but this is a trifle. Janet makes a cooked-to-order breakfast often asking what you'd like the night before. She is an excellent cook. The best part of a visit to the Inn is the idyllic backyard (see photo) which is immaculately kept and is stunningly beautiful. It is quite relaxing and serene. Sit and listen to to the quiet. Once you sit down and take in the view, you do not want to move. There is also a screened-in porch for those wishing to avoid the sun and flying annoyances. The property also has access to a nearby pond which is a short walk via a path through the woods across the street. Canoeing and rowing is possible, or simply sit and take in the water view and others enjoying the lake. The Meadow Farm Bed and Breakfast is a lovely oasis.

But every morning they fed you a HUGE home made breakfast...each breakfast was better than the day prior! Many items were really unique and very tasty....I am a big coffee fan and they serve french press. We stayed in the canopy room and enjoyed every inch of the historic house and furniture. The property is relaxing and fun especially visiting the two horses on the property. Make sure you take a short walk through the woods o find the lake with a wonderful view.
