Obviously the prices aren't brilliant and you'd get much better value for your money at the larger chains but it's still a nice atmosphere to do a bit of grocery shopping in. Being at the heart of the Saffron Lane estate, everybody knows each other and you're always greeted with a friendly smile and chat when you're shopping. The shop is a lot cleaner than it used to be and has really branched out selling magazines and a lot more frozen products than it used to. The only downside is that they have no trollies if you're intending to do a larger shop and I always notice that the bread seems a bit battered everytime I go in. They do however have the most amazing fresh pasties at their fresh produce counter.

This store does have quite a lot of clothing and un-food products compared with some of the others. The cafe is cheap and food reasonably good, a good alternative to Maccy D's or other fast food and a comfortable place to eat with children.

As you walk in to the right are magazines and beyond this clothing, CDs and electicals to the left is fruit and veg and then well all the stuff you would expect to find It has a pharmacy a cafe and a dry cleaners (which isnt cheap) Queues at tills are normally ok and the store feels quite spacious and also relaxing in compariosn with other supermakrets such as the asda over the road. I would recommend this store for a quieter shop
