Always caring, attentive and SUPER knowledgeable. She is always able to work around my schedule for appointments. If I need paperwork done for insurance she is ALWAYS willing to complete quickly. My history with other doctors is they HATE insurance paperwork AND, IF you can get them to do it they want to charge you EXTRA! For insurance I have HMSA. I have never paid anymore than the little copays for visits. I can text and email her and she responds quickly. She always keeps up on my prescriptions and when I need refills she sends them off to the pharmacy IMMEDIATELY during our visits (not common). So there is no waiting. Sooo many times before I've shown up at a pharmacy only to find out my prescription wasn't called in... I'm lucky to have her as my doctor.

They are very organized, flexible, customer service oriented, compassionate, and highly knowledgeable with the in and outs of care both online and in-person. Highly highly recommend them, especially for the military/VA patients that use community care. Their access to care is probably the best on island. In the first Zoom meeting, I kept telling her about what's going on with my family and how important it is and she said she can't help me regarding my child, but she can help me with just me. I kept telling her that something was going on with my child that made me feel a certain way so that I needed to talk about that. She kept saying that she cannot help my child and I understood that. Anyways, I told her that if she specializes in human trafficking and she's a Christian because that's the two things that I was shocked to see someone had a specialty in and that is what I needed help in. I believed this was set up and a blessing from above, from God himself because how easy is it to find Christian-based therapy with specific things you're going through? She just seemed very dismissive and she seemed like she didn't wanna see me and I just told her that I feel like this is a very important matter to me that I need to speak about it and then we eventually came to a mutual understanding about what I needed in therapy. In the second session, she said that I cannot see her anymore because I need to take medicine and I already have a therapist. I told her I don't have a therapist. Their office and the hospital just said that I have one, but that I don't. I'm not seeing one right now. I was seeing one from before but I am not seeing anyone but her. She said if I don't do the medicine (which the hospital didn't require) then they can't see me. I said fine I don't think we can do this then. So we mutually agreed to end services with one another. Then I decided to go to Linda. So I made an appointment with her. The day I got a phone call, I didn't respond because I was busy. They left me an email saying my appointment was canceled the day of and they sent me an email discharging me. I called the office and the girl said the manager said I am not a good fit so they will not be seeing me anymore. I asked to speak to the supervisor to get this right. She was listening to everything that I said I said I was gonna write a Yelp review. I said that I did the survey just so that they would have feedback to know what went on with me. To know that I wasn't satisfied, wasn't helped, didn't feel hurt, just got out of the hospital, I don't have a therapist now and now I have to look for one, and they just didn't help the way that I needed them to. They kicked me out two times. So I confirmed with the manager about her saying I am not a good fit and they won't be seeing me anymore. So I got an email that they discharged me and I just told them I don't trust them or feel comfortable doing any work with them or any services with them anymore. And it's there. I would not recommend anyone who just got out of the hospital who's kind of vulnerable and is trusting people to help them to just go here and expect them to actually help, as they treated me like easy throw away patient, with no compassion.

He doesn't notify me that he prescribed a new medication for my client and why he prescribed it, and doesn't listen to what I have to say. I simply asked him if he can fill out a Physician's Orders Form (just to write when he prescribed he medicine and when to take it) that is required for my client's Case Management Agency and he goes, "Don't you see the instructions written on the bottle?" And I go, "Yeah, I need you to write it on the paper for verification that you prescribed it for my RN Case Manager to see." Then I instructed him to fax it specifically to my number in return and then he interrupts me again by saying, "Isn't the fax number on the paper?" I said, "I'm giving you a different number (instead of the original CM's number on paper) because I need a personal copy of your written order form too." Then he yells, "THEN WRITE THAT NUMBER ON THE PAPER!" Also, his fax number that he gave doesn't even work. It looked like he immediately wanted to leave the Telehealth after my simple request from him that is needed for my Case Management. This guy is so rude, disrespectful, unprofessional, lacks empathy, and everything negative in the book. It's questionable as to why he's prescribing so many medications to my client and does only 5-minute pointless appointments on a monthly basis, that's considered insurance fraud. If he can't listen to simple instructions without being rude for 10 seconds, then he is not a doctor. I'm currently searching for a new psychiatrist for my client so if you know someone that can do Telehealth on a 3-6 month basis in the Aiea/Salt Lake area, that would be great.

I felt very uncomfortable with him, and told my therapist about this weird encounter, and she recommended another psychiatrist who was awesome and didn't have a weird issue about shoes! I do not recommend him to any one, he kept telling me he had practiced medics for many years, and not psychiatry, but some other field, which I can't remember at this moment, but it had nothing to do with psychiatry!!! Dr. was in contact with us daily with updates, and to help us through the process. He's very patient, caring and understanding. Even though I met him the day I gave birth, I felt like I could trust him. My son is now 1 1/2 years old, and enjoys playing in the waiting room at the Aiea office. He just doesn't like the shots... But hey, who does? If he does need 2 shots, it's soo fast! It seems like the nurse only gives him 1 shot, and I should know because I do not like when gets shots! The nurses are always friendly, and welcome us when we arrive. Recently, I dislocated my son's elbow (nurses elbow, waah!) and Dr. met me on a early Sunday morning. He is never rushing, never dismissing concerns. What stands out most is how he interacts directly with my son. My son has a speech impairment, and Dr. Tamamoto patiently listens, gives him the time he needs to communicate, and makes sure he feels heard. He goes out of his way to make my son feel comfortable, which is not something we experience often in medical settings. He jokes with him, builds rapport, and treats him with genuine respect. As a parent, it is incredibly reassuring to have a pediatrician who not only understands complex medical care but also truly sees my child as a person. We are beyond grateful for Dr. Tamamoto and the care he provides. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
