Unfortunately, the peak was cloud covered with breaking sun during our visit. The drive up was scenic, with winding roads offering glimpses of the charming woodland scenes. Once at the top, the Veterans War Memorial Tower added a historical touch to the beauty of the surroundings. The short hike around the summit was peaceful. If you're feeling adventurous, there are longer trails that seemed perfect for a day hike. We didn't have time to tackle them all but definitely plan to return. We hid a coin in a slate rock wall near the Appalachian Trail for our church brother to find should he reach this spot during his early 2025 attempt at traversing the trail. There's a small visitor center however it was closed during our visit. We were unable to grab a quick bite at Bascom Lodge. All in all, Mount Greylock is a must-see if you're in the Berkshires, offering the perfect blend of nature, history, and beauty. Just be sure to bring your camera--the views are unforgettable!

State parks charge more for less. - Quiet setting - Wooded sites - All sites have water and some have water and electric - Clean bathrooms and showers (only 2 of each but in 2 evenings, I never had an issue. I was gone during the day and not sure what it's like in that timeframe. it's not a large campground and there are multiple RVs and I suspect they use their own facilities.) - You will receive a welcome bag at check-in with a site map to help you get to your site, the rules and regs, a guide to The Berkshires, a large garbage bag, and a pen. - The On-site laundry is in a small cabin-like building. It is clean and has a table, two chairs, and many books - On-site propane station - Large playground, an entertainment pavilion, a rec room (I didn't use them so not sure what's included) I will definitely stay again if/when I'm the area.

It is more of an automotive repair that runs an very small rental area. But they were way better than the dedicated hertz place at Bradley Int.

We all confirmed that my reservation existed, yet instead of honoring it, I was offered a different vehicle at a substantially higher rate. This felt like a classic bait-and-switch situation, which is unacceptable. Rather than providing a comparable vehicle at the confirmed price, I was told they might have something available in "a day or two" and that they would call me when ready. Considering I live over an hour away, this was already extremely inconvenient. When they eventually called, I answered and could hear that someone was on the line, but no one spoke. I had just finished another call moments before, so I know my phone was working properly. Instead of handling the issue professionally, they blamed me for the failed communication. To make matters worse, Julie was extremely rude and told me that if I did not arrive by the next morning, the replacement reservation would not be guaranteed -- despite the fact that my original "guaranteed" reservation had already not been honored. At no point was I offered: A comparable vehicle at the original reserved rate A temporary replacement vehicle Any meaningful customer service or accommodation for the inconvenience The staff's handling of this situation was unprofessional from start to finish. I contacted many transporters and I was disapointed as they would not call me back or return my messages or took too long to get a correct answer. I ask a online quote from Eric and he answered me very fast. I then asked more questions by email and he replied right away. Phone calls were answered and messages returned very quickly. His communication is TOP. His price was not the cheapest but very close to others. Is way of doing business shows why ! He gave me a schedule date and he respected it. Gave me instructions on how he wanted the boat prepared. I was not present at time of load and unload. The owner of the small marina where the boat was unloaded was impressed by his equipment cleanliness and condition. He told me he was a real professionnal. I had a problem with the bank draft delivery and had to pay him with credit card with more charges. He told me to send the bank draft when I recocer it and that he would refund the credit card and save the additionnal fee. I was a bit nervous about kind of paying twice until all set but did it. I've reached out on numerous occasions asking them to just make it right. They have not been forthcoming with doing so. My father passed away in March of 2021 and I've been fighting with Dery's funeral home with obtaining a military flag in which my father is entitled to receive. To back up the night my dad passed 2 very young staff members (early 20's) came to get my fathers body. They did not greet us or give us condolences. Upon getting him out the front door they almost dropped him head first out the door and the young man had to catch him. Several days later my sister and i met with one of the funeral directors to go over the signed documents. My father had pre paid for his funerals arrangements. He was a simple man and didn't want any fuss- burn me and bury me was his modo. During that meeting the funeral director asked me if my father had any more $ as he wasn't charged "enough". I was very confused at what he asking us. I told him that no my father wasn't rich but just wanted to keep things simple. He said I will have to talk with and see what we can do but there would be additional charges. I said that this was paid for only 6 months ago and we are aware that cremation fees may change but otherwise it's a signed contract! He leaves us and goes and chats with someone and says we will honor the contract and nothing else will be charged.. My husband went a picked up the urn and paperwork at the end of March and they didn't say anything to him about receiving a flag or even explaining any of the paperwork that was being given. The day of the funeral we were suppose to have military honors and be presented a flag. Neither of those happened. My sister and I were extremely disappointed and angry. When contacting Derys about that following Monday am (they were the ones who suppose to set things up) no one had any idea as to why they didn't show. And told us that a flag was given to us the day we picked up the urn and paperwork. Which we never received at that time nor did we know that's when we were suppose to receive it. My sister called Derys in July and was given the run around that they can't speak with her because she wasn't the contact person. I called later that day and asked about the flag to which i was told we were already given one. I then explained that we were not given one during that time and the funerals I have attended they were given out at the funeral. Donna said she would order one. I called again on 8/19 and I was told that they would again order me a flag and call me when it arrived. I never received a call. I decided to call back 12/10 to check in on the status. I was given the run around AGAIN. Because we did not use their services so we aren't entitled to one now. I had told Donna on the phone that my sister and I are extremely disappointed with the service and care we have received and asked her how are you going to make this right. She told me she would order me a flag and call me when it came in. I asked her why she didn't order one in July when I originally called- to which she had no answer. So basically out of that phone call I have gotten nowhere and beside myself. To a company that should be compassionate and sympathetic to those that are grieving is not something that I received from the start. I will never use their services!
