Grooming After 3 hours I called to see how much longer it would be and they could not tell me, issues is they should have let me know when I drop my dog off if there was an issue and they did not. My dogs Reese and Fella have been going to Wagz since 2019. This last visit was terrible. I called 4wks ahead of time to schedule an appointment for a 5 day stay. When I dropped them off they wanted me to buy some flea medicine and told me I couldn't let them stay unless I did. I tried to tell the employee that my dogs take a 3 month pill. We went back and forth until she let me go so I could catch my flight. When I picked them up the owner never said sorry for the miscommunication. I can't wait when Freeport has boarding options for my dogs. Its sad when you do business with someone for 6yrs and they drop you like your nothing. read more

I highly recommend wagz! I have always been leary of boarding my animals but I have had nothing but excellent service with u guys! U put my mind at ease leaving my bucee with u. U guys r so caring and loving to the animals is very reassuring. U work with people's schedules without hesitation! He went 'on vacation' with u guys last summer when we were re-roofing our house which we thought would only take a few days but ended up being 2 weeks! We kept having to call and extend his vacation and u had no problems! Nothing but total professionalism from ur entire staff! Oh and the pics everyday were also reassuring to see he was doing ok! Would NOT recommend boarding your dog at this business. I am very sorry to all those that I recommended this company to in the last couple of years. We used to love dropping our pup there and so comfortable with the friendly dog loving front desk staff & care takers. It appears that the owner is now "taking over" and the service & care is very different. The customer service element had plummeted & more concerning, when picking up our pup the last two times - he seems desperate to get out of there, very thirsty and both times ended up with two days of diarrhea. VERY odd behavior for our healthy & energetic pup. Really Bad vibe there now. Decided to look into employees recent reports & reviews, I will never feel comfortable boarding there again. read more

When we picked up our pup NO ONE said ANYTHING about her swollen, raw & bleeding paws after staying at Wagz Boutique in Freeport Florida for several days! We had just drove for 2 days straight after loading the largest U-Haul and unloading it then getting to Wagz first thing to pick up our pup. We went straight home and to bed we were exhausted only to wake up to find our dog limping and blood on our floors. Once we examined her we were shocked to find all four (4) of her paws were in horrible condition!!!! We called right away only to have Their employee tell us that our dog might have tried to get out of her pen, I told her with all four paws!!!! Then she put me on hold and then told me maybe the sand did it and maybe put Neosporin or something on it. I asked to speak to the owner she told me the owner would not come to the phone. I called a 2nd time later that same day and again was told the owner would not come to the phone and that she would call me Monday, well Monday came and went and NO PHONE CALL from the owner all day!!!! And no one there is a licensed veterinarian to give medical advice over the phone over something they haven't seen or wasn't sure what caused it. Then the owner replies to my Google posting giving excuses and that she is worried about postings she should be more worried about her business and the pets left in her care then I wouldn't be writing this and doing postings!!! If business is too much for her maybe it's not for her because I am going to post my story and pictures everywhere to warn others of your unhuman cruel treatment of fur families! PART 2: Once we was able to get our pet into our Veterinarian after examining her our Vet said it looks like a chemical reaction maybe something they clean their floors with. Our Vet gave our pup a shot to help with the irritation and medication along with ointment to help relieve the pain and help her heal. We sent the bill to the owner of Wagz only for her to respond she didn't agree with our Vet and that she refuses to pay the bill. Was going to leave a 1 star review and never come back. Because my dog Aussie was given a bath a day before pick up. On pick up day he had urine all over his paws and I could not tell until I was home. He has been there several times and he does like it here. There were other problems as well But to keep the review short. The owner reached out and made things right. Wagz Boutique in Freeport Florida left our poor pup in desperate need of medical attention for several days and did nothing! When we picked up our pup no one could tell us what happened and they claimed to have noticed nothing even with our pup bleeding and limping! Then the owner refused to take responsibility and pay our vet bill and was only worried about on-line postings about her place not about our pet, owner refused to answer or return numerus's calls and only posted excuses on-line, VERY heartless and cruel not once has the own ever apologized. read more

The groomer did an excellent job (5-stars!!), but we had another issue so I contacted the owner and her attitude was HORRIBLE (NEGATIVE 5 STARS!). I never thought that a business owner could be so hateful!!! I can't say enough good things about Wagz. I've been taking my baby, Ace, here for over two years now because they are the ONLY people I trust in the area. I live in 30A area & drive 40 min there and back because it is so worth it to me how they go above & beyond to make sure Ace (& every other dog) is having fun, well taken care of, & above all- safe. Silver, the owner and the whole staff is absolutely amazing and has treated Ace like family from the beginning. And I can recognize that my dog is not the easiest, yet they still worked with me to make sure he was safe & loved while I was at work. They get to know each dogs personality and know what fits them- not many (if ANY) doggy daycare or boarding facilities take the time to care like that! My dog Amos has been going to Wagz his entire life (since they were in their old location in DeFuniak). Everyone there is so nice and helpful and most importantly, my dog loves going! When he sees us take out the container that we only use to send his food to Wagz in, he starts jumping up and down. When we pull up, he goes nuts to get out of the car and go inside or to the playground. I especially like seeing the pictures they post on Facebook, which reassure me that he is having a great time with the other dogs. This makes leaving him when we are headed out of town so much easier. I almost feel guilty for not taking him more often! read more

They get plenty of exercise and play time and expert care by a Vet Tech owner. Nicest people anywhere and completely trustworthy. We live in Destin and would not use anyone else. Silver is awesome, they have little apartments with locks on the doors and she is so awesome with the animals. They have a big back yard and they let everybody out to play and video them and put them on you tube. I will never hesitate to use them. Silver and Eric are wonderful. This is the ONLY boarding facility i have ever used where I was comfortable leaving my dog. My rescue starts getting excited about two blocks from Wagz and can't wait to get out of the car when we get there. He heads for the gate to see who he is going to play with this time. We have used Wagz boarding services before and been very satisfied. However, I booked my dog for the Christmas holiday and was not informed that since my last booking they added a flu shot requirement. My veterinarian was the one that informed me of Wagz's new policy. I called every vet in DeFuniak and Crestview and was no one is carrying this vaccine because it is unnecessary. I called to get my deposit back. Wagz refused even though I was never informed of these changes. Just because Wagz has apparently been doing this for a year doesn't mean that I am a mind reader or that I want my pet to unnecessarily vaccinated! I should have been informed, so I the pet owner, could have a choice. Also, my cancellation is well over a month away and you are keeping an $80 deposit and your establishment neglected to inform me! How convenient that you offer this vaccine that everyone else is saying is not necessary so you can charge me! read more

Silver and her family truly do treat your fur babies like a member of the family. Buddy, our 15 year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix needs some extra TLC as does our little 3 year old Chihuahua Pixie.
