We've all been around Texas hitting those "unique" shops in places like Fredericksburg, Round Top, and so on...Takes alot to surprise me these days as I blast around TX in my convertible. Visiting the Wagon Yard was near perfect on a recent trip to Granbury. Allow me to explain. South of North Texas you'll find in recent years newly made in Mexico metal signs with minimal tack weld featuring everything from Longhorns, Aggies, Wine, Bar's open...etc. Point being I found every room unique and a bit above the norm for Texas kitsch. Ok, a few things are a carbon copy. Yet, I found some excellent pottery and signs that I haven't seen before. Alot of aviation options, and furniture that seems to be from the area with options for customization. Glad I took a stroll a half block of the square and visited the Wagon Yard. read more

This is true Texas right here! but not just the style, a lot of things they sell here are MADE in Texas, and that made me very happy! Staff was attentive but didn't hover. Delivery was professional. Communication about items I ordered was better than expected! This is my new go-to place for furnishings, lighting, and accessories. Prices are very good. In fact, I don't know how they can compete with Made in China prices at other furniture stores, yet be made locally. Lucky me. Go take a peek. read more

This was my favorite store in downtown Granbury. They had really awesome furniture at reasonable prices. It's a pretty big place with lots of different options. Clean and organized, not anything like an antique mall. The people were super friendly. I can't wait to come back with the truck and get several pieces, but they also let us know they do deliver. read more

A furniture store on steroids! Everything for everyone. Turns out they are a dealer for the furniture we just bought. Their price is also higher than what we paid. We're looking for a specific oak headboard which they didn't have, but neither does anyone else. They do have a lot of amazing furniture and accessories, so worth a visit. I guess I must say I'm a fan, as we pass through the Wagon Yard every third or fourth time we are on the square. I'm getting to know the place pretty well and now the main reason we walk in is to check out the bargain area tucked away in the back. We've admired things in the showroom that later turned up in the back room, and we then bought the item at a substantial savings. While most of the old looking stuff in new, it's still a very interesting shop to walk through. You can spend some serious money on the home furnishings and lighting, or you can walk out with a Dublin Dr. Pepper (from the vintage-looking vending machine) or an old timey game (made of wood). read more

I moved to Granbury from Reno, Nevada 8/1/20. My son & his family took me to the Wagon Yard & other nearby shops to share their country life & look for some Texas style items to integrate with my current Pottery Barn decor. We even drove to Burleson & Weatherford to compare prices & look for unique pieces. I immediately fell in love with this store. My son was silly over the windmill so I bought it for their house. My grandson loved playing with the leather/suede checker board in the store so much I bought it too. I was immediately drawn to this serine painting & knew it would pull everything together beautifully. As you can see in the photos it was made for this space ! We visited the Wagon Yard in October, 2020 while in Texas shopping for a house. We loved the store and knew we wanted to come back once we found a home. We are now having a home built so we visited the store, again and found that their furniture was top knotch and the employees were so helpful and friendly. We left after purchasing living room furniture and office furniture. We will definitely go back after getting into our house. They have EVERYTHING you need for a true Texas home!! My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in Granbury this week. We stayed at the Inn on Lake Granbury and had a five star experience there. We came into Granbury to shop a little and weren't finding much of interest until we stumbled upon the Wagon Yard just a little off of the courthouse square. I collect chess sets, among other things, and they had quite a few of interest to me. They also had some Baylor memorabilia and some Watkins spices which we bought in addition to a chess set. The cinnamon we bought there was actually cheaper than Amazon! I'm looking forward to a good chess game using the set I bought there. The best part though was rummaging around the store. They had a little of everything from fine furniture and exquisite grand father clocks, to hand made Christian objects, a full collection of Life magazines dating back to 1937. Their collection of stained glass panes was one of the largest I've seen and priced very reasonably. I work in stained glass occasionally and getting pieces 24" x 46" for just under $500 is quite a good deal, especially when you count the number of pieces in the piece. They have a number of smaller pieces, too. They are all beautiful. The staff is both pleasant to work with and very knowledgeable about their products. Angus, their ever present 10 year plus old dog, was a pleasant surprise. He quietly lay near the register just relaxing and enjoying the customers just like he's probably done for years. The Wagon Yard is truly a unique store to visit. So much so, that my wife and I stopped by the following day to pick up a gift for my son, a collectible coin, a bottle of their local honey, and an old skeleton key lock. The lock is probably a replica but it was so reasonably priced I couldn't resist it. All in all, The Wagon Yard was just another extraordinary experience of our 40th anniversary celebration. I would highly recommend you stop by and look around. You're sure to find something of interest. I certainly recommended it to all of the folks staying at the Inn. read more

Wagon Yard was recommended to us by the owner of a local B&B as well as other shoppers we crossed paths with around Granbury. What a fantastic little gem this place is AND what a fun shopping experience as well! I was impressed at the total and complete selection of indoor/outdoor home decor they have and the quality of these items. On top of that, there is shopping by pure nostalgia if you wish, shopping for smaller gifts ideas if that what is needed. We did it all and spent 2 hours here. Let me start off by saying I fell in LOVE with this place. Unique items, Upscale items, Well Made items and yes, I wish I had more money! The items outside drew us in. We opened the door and I was blown away at the great furnishings. The rooms are divided by themes and I can tell you that when we buy a home in Granbury, I will be back for one of their clocks that were mounted to the wall and used the wall as the face material for the clock. Very VERY cool stuff. Definitely a recommend from me for a shop to put on you list to stop at when you are in town. It is located just off the main town square behind the Nutt house hotel. read more

We specifically were looking for chairs that could be covered in a fabric that is grandchildren and lake water friendly - The store associate spent well over an hour showing us fabrics and educating us on a line of fabrics that are beautiful and VERY user friendly. Love this place!!!! I brought my son and his grandparents in the 90's and always a good time! Came back for Mother's Day weekend and had to find this place again on the Square!
