While the prices were higher than we planned to spend that night (we were headed out backpacking the next day), the overall hotel experience was a good one. Nice clean rooms with all the amenities we expected. A pretty good breakfast buffet the next morning that we used to fill up our stomachs before a week of camp food. Relatively convenient to the downtown area when we went to have dinner. Accepted the dog with no issues, although not a super location for taking the dog for a long walk in the evening. Overall, I would recommend this place for our next visit.

The associates violated the American with Disabilities Act. I requested a room down stairs and…read morethey refused due to my disabilities. They also violated the law in many ways. The associates lied to me and to my family; especially in front of my children. They charged me a 46 dollar pet fee. When I asked them about how high it was, they said they lowered it to 30 dollars a night. However, they lied and and only lowered it to 39 dollars a night. Come to find out that they don't charge a pet fee as I discussed this with another hotel clerk the next day. They asked if we wanted a roll away bed and stated it would be free of charge. Come to find out they lied on that and charged us 15 dollars for that. The toilet in our room broke down and had issues. We took off the lid of the toilet and found out that they had rigged the chain with a safety pin. They chose not to fix the problem, but forced us into another room. My wife had a business meeting at the moment online and it interrupted her. It also caused me to be late for work. The pool is freezing cold and the hot tub is luke warm. They lower the temperature when there aren't that many people at the site so as to save money. There were multiple complaints from other travelers who mentioned that this happens often with this site. They promised me that I could speak with the manager about the problem. However, the manager refused to speak with me and made my family wait in the cold and snow. The manager messed up my receipt as this was a business trip and the receipt needed to be the original that I paid for. The manager did not take responsibility nor was accountable for her actions or the actions of her employees. There was not any apology or communication. I will be contacting my attorney and I will be contacting the Best Western corporate offices. All employees involved need to be terminated as this is very serious and this location is not taking it serious.

The way this place is configured, you have neighbors on each side and one behind you. So, at 10 pm, we had a loud tv, loud talkers and music. Loud tv stopped at 1 pm. It's 2 pm and it's been a party of loud talkers getting louder. I guess they're getting drunker and drunker. I've been thinking for 4 hours that they're gonna go to bed soon, right? (Idk say something to the front desk, but they don't have someone after 10 pm.) Would be nice if there were hooks on the wall so one could hang their jacket or purse. There is an awful smell in the closet...dogs poo'ing or peeing in there? Was told our room was 118. Ok. Then couldn't find our room. Would be nice if desk person told people who are staying on the backside of the motel they're on the back side. Wore shower shoes in the shower. After traveling for hours I need a place to rest, I called and made easy reservations with an absolutely amazing host. It was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. The tv had lots of options to watch shows on including a YouTube TV subscription included in the stay. The shower had good water pressure and had soap, body wash, and hair conditioner in a easy to use dispenser. The bed was comfortable and large soft pillows. My only concern was lack of an A/C unit, but the host assured me since we were at a high elevation the room would stay cool. The room was a tad warm during the day but cooled down at night and stayed reasonable. There was also a standing fan in the room that helped aton. Our gracious innkeeper, Emi, welcomed us in, got us into a room for the night, and offered up all of her maps and guidebooks, as well as her expertise. We were also greeted by the motel dog, Bird, who's an animated critter who goes wherever Emi goes. We had another yummy dinner at the Wind River Brewing Company (which I've also reviewed), and a relaxing evening in our room, which was really two rooms, a living/dining, and bedroom. The front room has a kitchenette as well, but there's really no comfortable way to do any TV watching (a big novelty I enjoy in motels as there is no TV at home) and I think I ended up sitting at the dining table watching it or something else odd. It would also be really cool to see an update to flat screens. The decor is rustic and cute, and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is served between 8 and 9, and it's delicious, homemade, and substantial.
