My son asked the local cemetery managers in PA about where we might have the plate updated, and they had no suggestions. He brought it home to me, inToledo, to find a company that could do the work. After a very dissatisfying interaction with a local Toledo company, I drove the plate up to Adrian Monuments and Melody Adams. Melody was very patient and accommodating, even though she was preparing to leave on a big vacation. She managed to get the work on my plate underway before she left, and called me (when I was on vacation) to say that it was complete. The price was less than the higher one quoted in Toledo. Adrian Monuments is well worth the trip!

Some guy named "Jason" literally refused to let us get some ashes for our departed brother, becuase others made a claim of kinship, but allegedly never verified. He laughed at our family, and became combative, not de-escalate, but combative, while we pleaded to let us LEGALLY get some of our departed brother's ashes! Jason should be ashamed of himself and honestly should be FIRED or at least APOLOGIZE the grieving family! My god!

They were nothing but kind and helpful when my father passed away in 2005. They even allowed a 21 gun salute at his grave site. One of the workers who were cleaning up the bullet casings made sure to give them to our family, which I hold dear to this day. My sister passed away 6 years ago and we found them very kind and helpful then as well. Her husband was laid to rest next to my sister in July of 2021. I had to speak to their office today to finish arrangements for my mother's passing on December 31, 2020 from Covid-19. I spoke to Denise today who was knowledgeable of my mother's case and was very kind and helpful. She told me what to expect and made every effort to arrange a schedule to our needs. I read the review that complained about their grounds but, I have seen nothing but beautiful care of the sites we visit. My aunt and uncle are also buried there, 3 or 4 sites over from my parents and sister and they always look neat and trimmed. My family has always been happy with the care the grounds receive at Lenawee Hills. I believe they have 1 groundskeeper that keeps everything running. I'd say he is a very hard worker.

My husband and I were in Adrian last month for the first time in nearly 20 years. I wanted to visit…read morethe graves of my grandparents, aunt and cousin but couldn't remember where they were. We wandered around the cemetery for an hour without success. Even though the office was closed, I decided to try the door, which was locked. But as I was leaving, a nice man opened the door and offered to help me. Even though he didn't have to, he pulled all the files and let me look at the obituaries and other papers, and then told me where to find the graves. I was blown away by his kindness. Even though I hadn't been to the cemetery in decades, it looked beautiful and well kept. I took photos of my family's graves, which I will treasure, as well as the memory of the kind man who made them possible. With deepest appreciation...

I am in the beauty industry and unfortunately I have had to deal with lots of deaths throughout the years with clients, family, friends, and co-workers. I have never worked with a funeral home as great as these two guys and their business. They were attentive, kind, compassionate, extremely professional, and so easy to work with. No matter what time of day or night it was if I called and they answered or got back to me super quick. My niece passed away recently and it was extremely devastating to our family. They did not miss a beat helping us plan a beautiful funeral for her. if you are looking for a funeral home I would highly, highly recommend them. If I could give them more than five stars

They say charity begins at home so whenever possible I give something to Saline Area Social Service…read more(SASS) to help those nearby who need so so much. While it is important to help starving children in third world countries, it is essential that we don't neglect the ones that live in our area. Many of these families are desperately struggling to earn a living, stay together and survive. Be grateful if you have enough. Share some with others until they can get their lucky break, too. The downtown Saline office of SASS is crowded and busy with activity. The entrance is near Saline Downtown Diner, at the back of the block including Dan's Tavern. Some staff are there consistently, but you might be talking to a volunteer. They do what they can with what they have. They need donations: money, non-perishable and even perishable food including fruits and vegetables from your own garden, because they have a refrigerator and a freezer. So if you have extra of any type of food, please bring it by. They collect toiletries. The smaller travel size is preferred, but if you have full-size toiletries, they wait until they have about 120 of any given item and then they do a "distribution." At the end of the year, my church and many others in the area host a toiletries drive and collect shampoo & conditioner, bar soap & body wash, diapers, etc. that every family needs to function. Each of the churches in Saline including mine put together food baskets and gifts (for example, socks in specific sizes for boy, girl, man or woman) for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. That way, each person contributes just a little to make up a very nice windfall for each local family currently under the care of SASS, which coordinates the distribution of all of these baskets, so it makes giving logistically easier for an individual. If you wish to do some good, give them a call and stop by with a donation. During the summer months the pantry can get pretty bare so if you are into warehouse shopping, put something extra into your cart, then take it to SASS.
