People joke about The Waffle House, but I'm telling you this location serves as good a breakfast as anywhere . It's very clean. And the servers couldn't be more friendly. You know how some Waffle Houses are better than others? None suck, just some are like really really good and others are meh, not that one let's drive further to the other one. This one is really, REALLY good. Ladies are all so sweet and took extra care in everything they prepared. I've never seen a more perfect set of over easy eggs. Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never having a waffle and a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. Waffle House has become the top comfort food chain in America in gouging customers. Meal prices are up 35% over the past 18 months. In addition, Waffle House has added 20% in service fees for to go orders and expects customers to still tip. Their gouging isn't limited to customers. Employees are charged $3.25 per shift for a meal regardless if the employee wants it , eats it or doesn't eat the meal. Working a double shift? We read reviews on Yelp and found some 1 and some 10. We would give it a 10. The hostess was polite and sat us immediately. She answered our questions and took our orders. We had our meals in less than five minutes and it was really good. The service was good and friendly. We would recommend this place and will probably eat there again this week while we are in town. read more

Rude waitress when entering restaurant. Only one table open by door and one further down that hadn't been cleaned off. Went to sit at that table and she starts shaking her head in disgust. I ask her if she has a problem with us and she said people don't usually sit at a table before it has been cleaned off. Went to eat at Taylor's down the street which is a little more expensive but better quality food and all the staff is extremely friendly. What can you say about Waffle House? You know what you're going to get before you walk in and it NEVER disappoints. Greasy spoon eggs, waffles, pancakes and hashbrowns. This is probably my favorite place in town to have breakfast. Today we had the Hurricane Hash. It was served quickly, hot and delicious. The coffee kept reappearing in my cup and my water glass was frequently refilled. This is the one place I look forward to all year long and it never disappoints.
