The line was long but we were seated quickly. The food was great and filling. Fresh too. This would be a 5 star but one of the waitresses kept scratching her scalp and then picked up food without washing her hands. Gross! read more

Waffle House - Chicken and eggs - Diners Near Me - Marianna, Florida

Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern United States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never had a waffle in a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try. read more

It's a good morning anytime of day or night at The Waffle House. Just left breakfast at the BONIFAY, Fl. Waffle House on our way back home to St. Petersburg'. This location was pristinely clean & our service was phenomenal. Thank you Kimberly! Coffee was hot, strong and tasty. I ordered the Texas BEC sandwich which is always outstanding. Smothered, covered and gravied hash-browns are the go to for me. Tiptop experience as always at the Waffle House! No road trip would be complete without a visit! read more

Waffle House - The Waffle House - Diners Near Me - Marianna, Florida

We were very happy with the food and the prices couldn't be beat! My husband had the egg and sausage biscuit and said it was very good. They made me a BLT even though it wasn't on the menu. The place is kinda dirty. Floors and windows look grimy. The service was wonderful, minus Laura. We had a few waitresses stop and help us and everyone was happy and attentive. You could see Laura dragging herself around the restaurant. She was our last impression since it was she who checked us out. Never looked at me and didn't speak. She doesn't belong with the caliber of other excellent servers in this place. She really was the only negative part of our visit. read more

I've been dreaming about amazing waffles from the famous waffle house, ever since we left southern California. Melody--who has been serving at this FL Waffle House, since the doors opened 29 years ago--welcomed us with the wholesome Southern Hospitality as soon as we walked in the door. We were weary from the long haul drive from CA...which was easily remedied with an All-Star special...eggs over easy and those exceptional perfectly cooked hash browns. Thank you so much Melody for the warm conversation and good ol wholesome meal. I'm going to miss the South when I head back to California; but I know I'll always be welcome with people like you in this great state. It was nice talking with you, Be well & see ya soon. #NiceTalkinToYa read more

Haven't been to a Waffle House in over 10 years and decided to go in... now I remember why it's been so long. The wait staff were friendly and there was plenty of seating. Got our drinks quickly and it's a very limited menu, so got our order taken pretty quickly as well. Food came out soon after. We each had a burger and they were just mediocre. The taste was fairly bland and the hash browns were a little undercooked. Just very underwhelming. read more

Love this chain Super convenient Priced affordable Decent quality it varies a bit but mostly consistent Eggs are from shell none of the powder or cartons Fast most of the time Fairly clean this also varies You can always catch a show (fight breaking out is not rare in bad areas), but it enhances the travel experience I like how the restrooms are similar to detention center facility so sturdy construction Ample and mostly clean Definitely my go to when on the road it's like the Panera bread store for the common man Did I mention the bacon? It's the best super crunchy but not burnt at all keep doing it waffle house! read more

Went this morning for some breakfast and although it was busy they really took care of their customers. My food was made within minutes and handed to me right away. Only knock I had was it wasn't the cleanest of restaurants. I know that had to do with how busy it was but definitely could have made it a bit cleaner. Most tables dirty and stuff like that. When I sat down they had to come over and wipe the table off. Great customer service though and good food. read more

While our waitress was very personable and would give her a 5 star rating for that, I can't overlook the subpar food and horrible attitude the manager had!!! My eggs were over cooked & when she put them on my hashbrowns, as I ordered them, she broke what little yolk there was in my egg and just shrugged her shoulders and said it broke. Horrible attitude!!!! Had it not been for my husband I would have definitely asked for my meal to be redone correctly!!!!! Oh and nothing was hot either!!! read more

My first time ever visiting a Waffle House (sorry I'm a northerner!) and it was great. Delicious food and also the great service. Didn't catch my waitress' name (I think she may have been the manager) but she is very kind and attentive. Loved our visit. Loved our server. WH is like dinner theater. Come for the food, watch the orchestrated movements of the crew.

We stopped off here on my way to Louisiana. The eating was booths only here. My friend driving and myself are full size ladies. A table would of been much more comfortable, but we made do, as this was the last seats available. There mostly locals here. Everyone seemed so friendly here. The food was very good and hot. everyone was so good and i loved everyone else , EXCEPT for our SERVER Jane. it was about 1 in the morning and we sat in her section and she decided to be an a$$hole and have an attitude with my boyfriend when he was ordering, WITHOUT us even being rude or having an attitude with her first or even back after she gave us one. it's one thing for her to give us attitude if we gave one first , but we DIDNT. so i felt very disrespected and did NOT like the customer service she gave us. read more

Four stars in class - (24 hr diner, bfast all day, uniformed & counter service). Immediately greeted cheerfully by line manager and offered a cup of coffee while we waited for a table. Not a long wait - less than 2 minutes. Server was shadowed by trainee who was eager to learn the ropes. She delivered and refreshed the table after order was taken. I always enjoy the "hashbrown-speak" of Waffle House and so generally order accordingly. Minutes later, "smothered, covered, diced, peppered and topped" could be heard bellowed on the line. Wife ordered the cheese omelette and unsweetened iced tea. I, the above with a couple of sunny side ups. All Waffle Houses offer a quintessential experience - especially at the bar. This one is more enjoyable than most - largely due to the flavor of the environs. read more

This is the *best* Waffle House I've ever visited, and I've been to many WHs in my life. It was clean, the bathroom was clean (although they should have paper towels instead of an air dryer, as paper towels are more sanitary - Google it), the food was excellent, and the service was the best I've ever gotten at a Waffle House or most restaurants, for that matter. When our waitress, Nicki, brought my waffle, it was thin and I told her I thought it looked flat. She immediately asked if I wanted another one and when I said yes, she said it was already cooking! It only took a few minutes for her to come back with not one, but *two* waffles for me to choose from since, she said, they had all been coming out thin. I picked one and she actually let me have both of them! I would recommend this WH to anyone looking for good food and fantastic service. read more

Walked in on a Monday at 11:21am to get a quick bite to eat before continuing our trip back to miami. We stood at the front, close to the pay counter, unacknowledged and unsure of if we should continue standing about 4 mins had passed by or if we should grab a table that just opened up. We waited a few more moments and asked the girl at the register if we could grab the table that opened. She stopped what she was doing and started to clean the table (not what we intended) but appreciative that she did. She left the table before competing the clean up and I decided to sit down to get out of the way (this is a very small restaurant and unsure of why the building itself looks so large, it's a BIG for nothing building). Another person came over and rudely told me to get up. We ended up walking out after another woman asked my boyfriend to "excuse me sir" in the rudest way possible. Rude and out of order. Thank God we won't be visiting this location ever again! read more

Food was good but thats all that was good. All dishes were dirty, it was so cold in there it could snow, no one to give you a menu. No refills of coffee. Dirt and food and paper all over the floor. We went there on Sunday around 1:30 p.m. due to my 4 year old grandson wanting a waffle. We found an empty both and sat down. After 20 minutes we still had not been acknowledged. I told my wife, let's go. Only after we got to the door did anyone speak to us. This is the worst service I have ever seen at any Waffle House. Staff seemed to be more interested in talking to one another or friends than serving customers. read more

I can only give it a 2 because waitress rhonda trued harx to maje things right. From sitting down at Doherty table across from waffle makers wsiting quite some time. The plates wrre eventually taken. Again Rhonda did her best to make up for the fhoul ups. Thank you. This is first time this has been bad service. The cooks cutting up, playing with the food and no sense of urgency. I found the place very clean and the food was good for waffle house food. I had a pecan waffle with a side of hashbrowns which were always greasy and delicious. It's a Waffle House so you know what to expect food-wise. The ladies running the kitchen and service in this one though are incredible! There wasn't an open seat in the place and they were getting out orders incredibly fast and doing it all with a laugh and a smile. Very impressed! read more

KATIE IS AMAZING. Loved her! I came here with my brother while on a road trip to go to Disney and we had never been to a waffle house before. Katie is the definition of a fantastic waitress... we were in and out within 30 minutes, food came out very quickly, she topped off our drinks even when they were half full, and while i was shaking a nearly empty ketchup bottle within two tries she was at the table with a full one. Let me begin by saying I really like Waffle House and I've have been to many locations in many states. Sadly, this is one of the worst I've visited. Eggs were over cooked, wrong type of bread for the toast and it was burnt to boot. I won't come back to this location. read more

Ended up here one late night last week for 2 reason's: 1. It was right across the street from my hotel & 2. I was drunk. Went in to Waffle House hwy 71 expecting to get my usual grill cheese and hash browns in the ring with pickles but what I got was everything less than . I walked out sick to my stomach after being served the sandwich first on a saucer with no pickles then about 5 min later scattered hash browns grease all in them the employees were running from front to back screaming laughing cutting up. My husbands eggs had no cheese the grits were lumpy they should be paying patrons to eat there . NEVER AGAIN EVEN TOLD THE CADHIER HOW BAD IT WAS AND SHE NEVER SAID SHE WAS SORRY OR ANYTHING. Spent most of me time here waiting on a coffee and water refill....I finally for the coffee refill....ordered cheese eggs with hash browns and a biscuit.... I was on the way to Dothan because there was something wrong with my vehicle so i stopped here to get breakfast. I had no jacket with me either, i didn't think i needed it. When i went into the Waffle house it was very cold i had goosebumps all over my arm and legs. (I was also wearing shorts). We ordered and then sat down while waiting for the food i noticed about two dead bugs on the window. There was also a fly flying around. When we got our food my sisters egg wasn't cooked properly so we sent it back. When the waitress brought another egg back it still wasn't cooked properly. So my sister just ate it anyway. I also noticed that my drink was water down. I got up to go use the bathroom and when i went into the bathroom it smelt horrible and has toilet paper on the floor. There was also pee on the toilet seat. This was all in the Woman's bathroom. That is very gross i would not take my little sister in there. read more

My daughter son and I went to this Waffle House. With the kids never being to one and myself not going to on in years we tried it. Let me tell you one of the best customer service experiences I have had at a restaurant in many years. When we walked in there was not an open table but two that needed to be cleared. With that being said not one or two people but four people mama we will have a table for you right away and they did. We where the. Met by our waitress BECCA which my name is the same. She took our order we had small talked. Learned she had 4 kids under the age of 5 and worked there for 5 years. Have way through our meal the manager came over to ask if everything was ok. When was the last time someone did that. Then there was a gentleman sitting that another table that asked one of the waitress Myra. I think was her name to help with his phone and she said not a problem. But the customer sitting next to him said let me help you with that. And then offered him his waffle. There needs to be more places like this little diner in the middle of no where to be so kind. read more
