All Star Special and coffee.
Dae Or Daniel K.

Had the All Star special (Two eggs, over easy done right, blueberry breakfast waffle, city ham, raisin toast and grits.) the apple butter was a nice touch. Everything was hot and delicious. Very consistent for a chain restaurant. The waitress was very attentive and polite. 24 hr location which I think most waffle houses are. It was quiet for the most part and clean which I appreciate.

she ate that plate up

The service at this waffle house was like no other! The people here were so sweet and the food came so fast. The food was good. I got the bacon angus combo and the burger was amazing. My family was very pleased with their food. Our server crystal was a delight to have. She was so nice and i'm glad she was our server. The place was clean the lighting was nice. Overall, I had a great experience there

Love me some Waffle House! This particular Waffle House was clean, the waitress, Mykayla, was super friendly and the cook, Tarzan (assuming he goes by Lamar as well since this is what the waitress called him) was silent, but, deadly with the cooking process. Being from the Midwest, the grits we usually get are instant so I was super excited to get some homemade yumminess (or at least instant made in a way that wasn't plain and pasty). I was not disappointed! The rest of the food was awesome as well. Eggs over medium on point, hash browns crispy on the inside and soft in the middle (same description for the waffles) and perfectly browned toast. Really, I wasn't expecting an almost perfectly made linner (lunch/dinner). You know what I'm going to say right? Go check out this Waffle House! Bonus if you get Mykayla as your waitress and Tarzan swinging over the grill. Happy eating Yelpers!

My first Waffle House experience! Just what expected.. Average food, average price but it was fast and the service was very friendly! Girl behind the counter named Crystal was very friendly and nice! Bathrooms could use some work! Also don't go here if you are towing a camper or driving one.. Very small parking lot.. We had to use the hotel parking lot across highway!

Staff was quick and most of them were friendly. The food was excellent! Came out fast and hot. They even special made me a grit bowl that was extra delicious. We were thankful to find a good Waffle House along our trip.

Do you like eating cheap food at tables that haven't been fully cleaned? Then this is your place! We were starving after driving for hours and this place was the best option around (which is sad...). It gets the job done but it's unpleasant.

It was getting late and we were really hungry and with the RV and Freckles we needed a safe place to stop and get dinner. So I saw Cracker Barrel from 1-75 in Lake City. It was late and we were warmly greeted by all the staff. They have special RV parking too. Sherry was our waitress and the twins (Dave and I ) ordered the Campfire Chicken. One half of a chicken, little potatoes, carrots, and cherry tomatoes in a natural delicious gravy. It was wrapped in heavy aluminum foil. We also got two cornbread rolls and two biscuits with butter. What a deal for $15.99 each! We demolished mostly everything but I saved the carrots for Freckles. She was pretty upset today with all the thunderstorms and us traveling. Sherry brought me a to go coffee too! How sweet is that! So if you are in the area stop in for some good southern cooking!

Not many tables in the bar area so... we sat right at the bar. The bartender had all kinds of attitude... in the BEST way possible. It was awesome. We started with 12 wings tossed in their buffalo sauce. They were excellent - and this coming from a wing snob. The blue cheese was very good - thick and chunky. For the main course, I got the fish and chips with an extra piece of fish. The fish was great. Fries were above average. They had music bingo (maybe a Tuesday thing?) - that was a bit much but c'est la vie. There was one dude shouting out every song and singer. My guy, get a hobby! lol Highly Recommend! The BEER: Seymour-Finnegan's Irish Red Ale 5.7%... smooth slightly sweet great tasting all day crushable goodness Hop Culture IPA 6.5% ABV... looks like a hazy, tastes like a west coast, definitely high in IBUs, has fruity pine nose, good if you love your IPAs extra piney, so very hop forward Pickle Sour 4.5% ABV... oh he11 yummm, I absolutely love this pickle sour. Soooo very good! Rum soaked oak barrel aged Big Hal 7% ABV... there was something I really liked about this. It is a brown ale with a whole bunch of personality Don't have the words though. I loved Bob Evans' meals from when I was a kid, and I had a hankering for breakfast food while making a pit stop. We initially were greeted by Jay at the front, seated and the team helped with drink orders since we were hectic and couldn't decide on anything before everyone got a chance to "freshen up". Mary Jo was our server, patient and friendly, took her time with us since she could tell we were not locals. My parents are usually predictable but this place was kind of new to them. I ordered a breakfast omelette with loaded hash browns and pancakes. My elderly parents (both over 80) used the specials menu, it was like going 40 years back in time, when meals were $9.99! mother got the hamburger steak, my father the fish and chips. Both were very happy with the amount of food, along with the sides. Mary Jo brought out biscuits which are my absolute favorite but I specifically didn't get sausage gravy because we still had a long way to drive and I needed to be alert. Man, just perfect execution on it all. The cooks nailed our humble order, everything coming out piping hot, all timed together, everyone dug in and we almost finished it all. Took a couple biscuits with butter that Mary Jo gave us, and I packed my pancakes without syrup since I'm a Type 2 diabetic. Didn't matter bc the pancakes were so light and fluffy. As I paid the bill up front, you still are there back in time, seeing candy for sale that hasn't been prominently around for years, NECCO wafers, Giant Tootsie Rolls, Chunky candy bars. Brought back a flood of childhood memories when things were simpler. Bob Evans is like a beacon, giving you good food when you need it, great service all the way, and Jay who rang me up at the end was very kind- listening to my ramblings about how NECCO used to be in Boston but was bought by Spangler in Ohio. Mary Jo provided my father and I our drinks to go, his an unsweetened tea and me a Coke Zero. Really nice touch since I needed that boost to finish the 500 mile drive. A blast from the past but exactly what we needed at the moment. The memories I had while there eating were real, and I'm happy we chose to stop here. On the way back you can bet I'm gonna try to stop again! Thanks to the team for keeping us fed, awake, and caffeinated for our drive.

Waffle House has become an iconic presence on the culinary landscape here in the southeastern…read moreUnited States. It seems that their familiar logo beckons in all of its bright yellow neon glory road-weary travelers, partying college kids, parents with kids in tow, hungry workers seeking a casual and quick sit-down meal and just about everyone else from every walk of life. Since Waffle House opened its first location back on September 5, 1955 in Avondale Estates, Georgia, it quickly established itself by offering a consistent selection of food and by being open twenty-four hours a day. For me, the biggest appeal of Waffle House has always been their hash browns, which you can get basic or topped with a variety of toppings such as chili, white sausage gravy, cheese, ham, onions and so many more items and you can combine these toppings in a multitude of ways. For my main course, I have usually gone with their patty melts or one of their egg breakfast options. I myself can see the strangeness that I have never had a waffle in a business where waffle is in their very name, but I prefer a more savory breakfast than a sweet one. If you are in the southeast United States, odds are you have probably passed a Waffle House location. It seems that they are on almost every major highway exit ramp and strategically placed throughout most cities and towns in the southeast. If you see one, give them a try.

It sizzled on the plate like real sausage, and the taste and texture were identical to meat. Perfectly cooked, and I know from cooking plant-based patties myself that if they get even slightly overcooked they become tough and dry. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve much from there. The food that was served was incorrect, and the overall cleanliness could use attention as well--the windows were noticeably dirty. There's definitely room for improvement in the areas of customer service, order accuracy, and cleanliness. Hopefully this was just an off day, but based on my experience, I expected better.
