Great experience ! Greeted by all employees when entering the establishment! The smell of breakfast yum makes you more hungry then you already are! Our waitress was BeBe and she was fabulous! This place is consistent. We've been here several times in the past and the service is always good as well as the preparation of our order. Today was exceptional. We walked in to a packed house but it only took a couple minutes for us to be seated. Our order came out looking exactly as we wanted it. We order our food a specific way and most of the time it's right. But there has been times at other Waffle Houses that have had trouble getting it right. This experience today was perfect. This was not my first time at the Waffle House chain, but it was certainly the most entertaining! Teresa, our server, never stopped with the action - calling orders, pouring coffee, delivering food. She was keeping her eye out for empty cups and kept up with funny comments or recommendations for food items. Christine on the grill along with a tall gentleman we never caught the name of were pretty much silent heroes, never missing a step and never asking for a repeat on the orders given verbally - no electronic reminders. Catherine and Cheryl, the offgoing and oncoming manager, were fantastic as well, managing stock, pouring coffee and making sure everything was running smoothly. Just ate at this Waffle House (Saturday, 4/29/2023, noonish). Food was very good - waffle, scrambled eggs, toast, sausage and hash browns. Our server, Mikayla, was very pleasant and efficient. Also, Cheryl helped us and was very friendly and helpful. We were greeted warmly by all the staff behind the counter when we came in. It was busy but there were two empty booths so we were able to sit down immediately. Our order was taken in a timely fashion. Food came out quickly enough. Was appropriately hot, which is important to us (hubby hates cold or lukewarm food when it's supposed to be hot). Only two negative things about the visit - first was the worker who was so brusque in everything she said (to customers and coworkers alike) that she just came off like a real (insert not nice word here). I understand that some people have a more abrupt and harsh tone when they speak, but this was ridiculous. Crabby would be a nice way of describing her. Basically "barked" at the customers she was taking the order from, to the point of flat out rude. Complaining (in the same pissed off tone) right behind the counter, definitely within earshot of the customers that were sitting just inches from her, that sure was "ready to quit today ... just tired of this crap." So unpleasant and unprofessional. The other 6 women working were not like that at all. I can't imagine having to work alongside such a nasty attitude ... how draining that would be! She may be a long time employee, maybe a "lifer" ... but if I owned a business, any kind of business, I'd never allow any employee to come to work with that attitude. I was in the restaurant business for over a decade and that stuff just wouldn't fly at a restaurant that cares about its customers and employees. Bad for morale of coworkers and definitely bad to expose customers to it. Toxic. Attitude adjustment is definitely needed. Her name was Teresa. Second negative thing - servers standing at the end of the counter, within 2 feet of customers, discussing tips they just received and how they were so terrible ("not even so&so percent!"). Totally unprofessional to discuss tips in front of customers! For those two issues, I marked off one star, even though they are actually pretty significant things, especially the grouchy worker. That threw a wet blanket on the whole experience, as it made everyone obviously uncomfortable, on both sides of the counter, but we would stop in again if in the area. read more

There is a reason when in the part of the country that a Waffle House exists I don't go to it, however on this occasion I was with my son and he wanted to go there for breakfast. It seems like every Waffle House I have ever been in, it is run the same, dysfunctional with a staff who cannot remember what you order. We ordered our food and drink and then watched the server stand there and watch the cook for at least 10 minutes waiting for what I could not figure out. Finally she brought us our drinks... When the food came, my son did not get the chocolate chip waffle he ordered, it was just a plain waffle. He told the server and she took the waffle back, poured a cup of chocolate chips on the waffle and brought it back... REALLY??? He also had to ask for his toast and bacon because she forgot about that as well. I chose not to say anything and just eat what I got as it seemed a lot easier. When we arrived there were 3 people in front of us and 5 empty tables waiting to be cleaned off. Instead of cleaning the tables the servers seemed to just hang out behind the counter waiting for the cook to finish cooking what they were waiting on. Multi-tasking is not something they seem to look for at this place. We got our table pretty fast because two of the people in front of us got tired of waiting for the people there to do their job. I went over and started cleaning the table myself so we could sit and eat. I will look for someplace else to eat next time I am in the area. It seems like they hire people and provide NO Training on how to do the job or how to take care of the place and customers. It is obviously an issue that starts at the top with the owners and filters down through the managers of each location as they all run the same. I guess if the prices were not what they are, this place would be out of business by now. read more

I'm on the fence about my experience here because the people were very nice and the food was decent, but nothing to write home about in my opinion. When my son asked me have I ever been to The Waffle House...I'm thinking duh well the jokes on me because I didn't know it was a chain like Ihop but on a smaller scale...lol You learn something new everyday. I really had my mouth set for this Fiesta Omelett, but this location didn't serve them...heartbeat stops and mind goes blank on what to eat...lol Anyway, it is funny how disjointed two states can be when it comes to making a simple breakfast. Now let me also say this is not a dis in any kind of way just my own observation because when we asked for green peppers on our hashbrowns it was like the recorded stopped and the room got quite(yes I'm showing my age) um the young lady kind of stuttered and said have jalapeno peppers...lol now my daughter and I are looking at each other and we are all giving each other the same what is wrong with them face...but I digress. We both ordered the All Star Breakfast at least I believe that's what it was called...I didn't realize it came with toast and waffles...along with meat of your choice, hashbrowns or grits and your choice of egg style. My bacon was very good...but the namesake of the "Waffle House" the Waffle was not that great. The coffee and the orange juice was meh! I stop in pretty regular on the way to / from the Memphis area. Service is good. But lately they never have UNsweet tea. Servers tell me the local manager can't / wont get them a 2nd tea pitcher. Definitely recommend this WH. We walked in and needed 2 booths. No big deal to them at all. One of the booths had a couple crumbs in the seats and I mentioned it. The server happily cleaned the entire booth and table. Server and cook were friendly and super attentive. "Tim" was the cook. We were a little testy feeling from traveling all day long. My son ordered a choc milk ...it was ruined and we didn't know until he got a big drink of it :( yuck!!! There was more employees than customers and still we couldn't get a refill on our drinks. I asked a blonde manager for help with my sons drink she jst looked at me and said 'your server will take care of you' and walked away!!!! Our servers name was Lauren and her back was turned to us the whole time, I needed a refill and never got it ...I was ok tho my sons sprite was pretty good :(. The bright side was the food was amazing! Would I stop here again ...NO!!! Lauren did offer us to go drinks :) yay! I was actually gonna drive across the road to the gas station and get a fountain drink. The only good thing I can say for this place is that the food was amazing they have great cooks. But it's obviously a very poorly managed restaurant. I've worked in food before and I I had served clobbered milk to a child I would have said more than 'oh...well I'm sorry what would you like instead?' I would have tried to make it right...spoken to a manager or at the very least checked the other milks to make sure they were in date. ...we saw more of our servers back while she watched the grill than we did her face.
