They were very busy when we got here and had to wait for a table, no biggie. Got seated and the waitress came and helped almost immediately. The food took a little while to get out (simply because how busy they were.) and my youngest (barely 2 yo) was screaming and the sweet waitress brought him a pop sickle and the other made him his own little waffle. Then when my other children finished their meals they brought out three more pop sickles I really appreciated that though they were busy they still took the time to be attentive, helpful kind to my child who was mid meltdown. read more

Waffle House - Breakfast Sandwich w/Hashbrowns - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Batesville, Mississippi

Waffle House has been a family favorite for 4 generations now. If I had to choose a place to eat my last meal, it would probably be here. Specifically, this location. I've eaten at many Waffle Houses over the years, and this one is top notch. We refer to the staff here as "The A Team" - the district manager, the store manager, the waitresses and the cooks - they're all the best! If you're one of the poor pitiful souls who's never been to a Waffle House, here's a list of my favorites: scrambled eggs with cheese and raisin toast with apple butter; cheeseburger and hash browns; and on a cold night, you just can't beat Bert's chili and a BLT. Notice that waffles didn't even make the list? That's my son's go-to, and they are good, after all, that's why they call this place Waffle House. There's something on the menu for everyone's palate. This particular location is clean for WH standards, including the restrooms. If you have any food allergies, just know they take it very seriously. This really is the best WH ever! read more

Our server was super nice and attentive. Location was clean. Food was quick and hot. We were very weary to stop in at this location due to the previous yelp reviews but have no complaints! read more

Great Service compared to other MS waffle houses. Nice area around the Oxford commons!!

I came in at 6:00 pm and ordered and everything was fine until the cook touched raw meat. AND HE DID NOT CHANGE GLOVES, after that he started touching on plates, lettuce, condiments, and etc. Had to ask him can he change his gloves so we don't get sick from cross contamination!!! We hope anyone who came before us didn't/don't get sick! read more

Students wanted to experience a Waffle House despite my better judgement. The tables were dirty despite the restaurant being completely empty. Sat down and ordered super quick. We sat for a good time while the regulars received their meals before us (they arrived well after us). When the food arrived it was cold since our food was sitting on the line. By bacon and eggs were complete dry and burnt. The toast was fine. My coworkers hash browns were wrong. Supposed to have jalapeños and only had a slice of Kraft cheese, also completely raw underneath. The kids really liked their waffles and sausage. That's the two stars. Usually we would have been offered a few refills of coffee I think if we were regulars and not out of towners we would have felt more welcome. read more

Came here out of desperation on a road trip & to this day it's the worst "meal" I've ever been served.. I waited a year to write this review to be sure I could accurately make that claim. 2 stars bc my nasty friend ate it & liked it somehow read more

Waffle House - a plate of hash browns and a fork - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Batesville, Mississippi

I'm only reviewing this place to publicly reaffirm my love for Waffle House. Not just this particular location, all of them. Hash browns scattered, smothered and covered? Yes please. Grits? Absolutely. Ham? They have regular ham AND City Ham. Conveniently located all over the place in the south and open 24/7. read more

Worst experience I've ever had well I can't even say that. After seeing that Waffle House was open we drove from Oxford to get some delicious waffles. But when we got there we walk in and the mean register lady says they have no cook. How the hell do you have no cook?? I've never heard of that before so this definitely gets a one star rating. read more

This place is wonderful. Our tender-hearted waitress served my group wonderful, decadent waffles. My chocolate milk was the perfect ratio of chocolate to milk. My coffee was served at the perfect temperature. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere on this Thursday night at 1 AM. I would highly recommend going completely out of your way for 30 minutes to the wonderful Waffle House if you are looking for an experience that transcends beyond just the food. This place creates bonds in people that would otherwise not be possible. The place wasn't that clean but I think that actually adds to the beauty of Waffle House. read more

Stopped by for a quick breakfast before finishing our road trip. Most waffle houses offer a quick good meal. At this location everyone was friendly and service was quick. However, some of the food items were cold and others were forgotten. I would return to other Waffle House locations, but would not recommend this one! read more

Food was good and cooked perfectly. Staff was quite rude. Our waitress did not say anything more than what do you want. Never asked if we needed anything else. The waitress with pink and white hair needs to learn how to be friendly and smile / talk with customers. read more

Came here for breakfast Christmas morning and the staff was fabulous, the energy in the restaurant was high and the vibe was happy and fun. The food came out fast and was delicious. read more

The food is what you would expect from a waffle house - good, greasy, all-american bacon-and-eggs breakfast. The service is friendly but seems a little uncoordinated. My friend got his breakfast before mine without any explanation and I waited another 5 minutes before mine arrived. It is FREEZING in there. The air conditioning runs full blast and blows directly onto the customers. The bathrooms are filthy. The men's room sink was stopped up and half full of dirty water. read more

The food was great and the staff was very friendly. They were very busy and still took time to provide fast service and check in on us frequently. I will remember to stop by this place next time I'm traveling through the area! read more

I would rate it a zero but it won't let me sadly waited for an hour for the all star special and a bacon and egg grits bowl. We never got it so we walked out after being looked at and ignored by every single one of the staff and it took them over 30 mins to bring us our water and sweet tea after ordering it. This is an embarrassment to any type of food service and I hope every single one of the workers gets fired for this terrible treatment and service. read more

Food was perfectly cooked! Staff not friendly!", barely spoke even when taking our order!!! 1/2 of the eating experience is interacting with the staff! No one was friendly!! Tipped big anyway. I hope their day got better!!! read more

What do you want? It's Waffle House. Cheap eats, good coffee and it never closes. It serves its purpose.

The food is good. It's just a hassle to get the staff on the phone to take take out orders. They put callers on hold and never come back to take the order. Which leads to the phone being off the hook for hours and the phone going to an automatic voice message. Bad customer service. read more

While I have always been a fan of Waffle House and have made it a point to give this restaurant my business, this location leaves a LOT to be desired. After watching multiple patrons that arrived after me get served, the waitress finall noticed me long enough to take my order and then forget about me. When my drink was brought to me, the glass had leftover food in it which caused me to return the glass and leave the premises unfed. Guess I will have to stick with Huddle House from now on. read more

While Waffle Houses in general engender a certain atmosphere - this one makes all others look like a Ruth Chris Steakhouse. The barely literate waitress was more interested in her cell phone conversation than waiting on us. They couldn't take a credit card because they didn't know how to put paper in the machine. The food was overbooked. And they were out of sweet tea. Never come here. read more

Waitress used ma'am often enough, but didn't seem to have a concept of proper customer service. Didn't look like she wanted to be there, it was Christmas day. Silverware was dirty, country hash browns delivered plain (minus country). The grits were pitiful considering we WERE in the South. My expectations are low for waffle house chain, and this one was still below expectations. Expensive for low quality food. Could have had a tastier 1 egg w/ cheese sandwich in nYc for $3, and yet paid over $4 here in the south. 2011.12.25 read more

This place is pathetic. we had to clean our own table. waited over 30 minutes to get half of my order. silverware was dirty and we never received any when we asked for clean utensils. 40 minutes after I received half of my food my husband's food arrived. when I used. for the hashbrowns that come with my meal I was told they did not! had to show the waitress the menu! we left without getting clean silverware or hashbrowns. forgot to mention - there are mouse traps in the ladies room. I observed cooks using the waffle maker with no gloves on their hands scraping residue from the edge of the waffle iron on the floor and area between the two irons and just letting the piles accumulate. then they touched the waffles with their bare hands! the health department should shut them down. j read more

Worst waffel house I ever been to. I only get to go when I'm traveling so quite naturally I look for one. The floors were filthy, the bathroom was as well and it had a pest thing on the floor to catch whatever... Ugh!! Never again will I go to this location. It should be shut down!! read more

Waffle House - Burt - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Batesville, Mississippi

I wish I had read the reviews before I stopped in to this WH. I've been in a area with no waffle houses around for about 2 years. I was excited to get my waffle on. The place was nasty. The order was wrong even after clarifying it twice. Quality of the wrong order sucked. Avoid this place like the plague! read more

Me and my girlfriend just moved to batesville and we decided to stop in and get a quick bite before we started our day .When we arrived the waitress was helpful but after getting our food that's when the serviced stopped her and about three other coworkers sat down at a table in the corner and was being so loud we could not think .Our food was the usual anybody would order but the grits where undercooked plus I ordered a side of bacon and only got two pieces and after having a conversation with our waitress she seemed like she didn't care .So go to the Huddle House down the road . read more

Usually I love Waffle House, but not this one. On our first visit to this location, it was absolute CRAP. The restaurant was FREEEEZZZZING, and we had to wait 25 minutes for someone to come seat us, then another 25 for someone to take our drink order. Then, it took them 2 hours to cook 4 All Star Breakfasts. All of our waffles were HARD AS A ROCK, the grits were COLD, the toast was BURNT, the bacon was BURNT, and the eggs were BURNT too. And I told the waitress, and she was very rude about it. She said "Well i'm sorry i don't give 2 craps" and was trying to force us to eat the nasty food anyways. So we left and are never going to this location again. After the horrible experience, we ended up in the Hardee's next door for breakfast. read more
