The Acuity Flag is the tallest flag pole in the world holding a U.S. flag. 100 feet taller than…read morethe Statue of Liberty! The pole is 400 feet tall and holds a flag that is 60 x 120 feet. (7,200 sq feet = to the width of a football field). There are 2 different flags that fly, one is 220 lbs (normal conditions) and the other is 350 lbs. flying during harsher weather. Base of pole is 11 feet in diameter and weighs 420,000 pounds! The location is right alongside I-43 and you can see it coming from all directions. The original flag actually fell over a few years ago during some bad weather because the foundation was not strong or large enough. This new one is even bigger and obliviously stronger! The flag is located on the grounds of Acuity Insurance, which has been very charitable to many non-profit organizations, along with Veteran services.

So we wanted to visit this newer location since it opened and finally we were able to do so. With a required reservation in hand we visited on a Saturday morning. This FREE museum is awesome. It is a beautiful space with plenty of room to display the large scale pieces of quirky and unique Americana art. Many of the artists are self taught and not your typical artist types. Some had been retired farmers and lumbermen. We have sought out many of these fascinating art installations around the state. It is a blessing that Kohler has saved many of these in the field and in some cases brought some of the pieces to this museum. As with their other museum you must see the stunning and fun bathrooms. A real gem!

Entry is $12 for adults and $10 for kiddos (free under 2), all of which goes to supporting the grounds keeping. These botanic gardens are all inspired by children's books literature, and the stops along the way are wonderful! From hopping on the Magic School Bus and riding in Little Blue Truck, to seeing all the fishes swim with Pout Pout Fish and climbing into Winnie the Pooh's house, all of it is so well done. Just when you think you've seen them all, you find another winding path through lovely landscaping to discover more. It sounds like they also have various themed events throughout the year, offer workshops, and host fun field trips. Overall really awesome place!

However a he ordered a drink - it never came but I was charged for it. I have no problem sending an individual dish back if it's bad but the whole tables worth of food?? My bestie is SEVERELY allergic to poultry and her husband was recently diagnosed with Celiac disease which means gluten is no good (even "cross contamination"). This makes finding a restaurant that can accommodate their needs a huge challenge. Our server went out of her way to talk to the chef and check things out. They were able to accommodate these specific diets and still beautifully create their entrees. It has been horrible to adjust life with Celiac, so when the food came out, I really thought there might be some tears of joy. ;) This gave us more reasons to come back! Thank you!

It is thoughtfully curated, inspiring, and quietly powerful in its message. I would absolutely enjoy coming back to see future installations. This art center is one of the best I've been to because of the variety of art I loved exploring all of the bathrooms. Those were some of my favorite, and I also really enjoyed the exhibit that had a variety of art from artists and hobbyists all over Wisconsin with different medias. For a free arts center I spent about an hour exploring. Add this to your list of Sheboygan visits.

There's a little gift shop with some pretty cool shirts and hats, and used books along with a few about the Hmong pilots, etc. I'm an aviation buff, so I made a special point of stopping. We learned so much about the town of Green Bay and about the Packers as well! Nick, the owner/tour guide was so awesome and patient with us, as we asked him so many questions, and asked him to take tons of photos of us! If you have never been on a Segway before, no worries, Nick the owner/tour guide or another tour guide will give you an instructive and informative "rules of the road" for a 15 or 20 minute class on how to use the Segway's properly! Each Segway has their own names too!! Like, "Pink Cat", "Claude" and many more!! This is a must do when in the town of Green Bay!!
