I called in a order for lunch today. 2 sandwiches. Roast beef with cheese on rye with lettuce, tomato and Mayo. Ham and Swiss with lettuce, Mayo and mustard. Both orders were wrong. The roast beef had globs of mustard which couldn't all be scraped off. I can't eat mustard. The ham and Swiss had tomatoes and no mustard. In addition the roast beef was so full of hard fat that most of it I couldn't bite through and had to put to the side of my plate. I was very disappointed. read more

What a joke. I'll bet that these new owners are out of business already. The deli is empty. No chips, no snacks, minimal liquids. At lunch time I was the only person in there. I'm sure that the vendors that supply these clowns are owed money. The worthless hero's are way expensive, especially compared to other delis in the neighborhood. Best neighborhood deli around. Service with a smile; and decent prices. Not trying to rip you off like other delis try. There's a place closer to me in Shoreham I could get egg sandwiches from, but this place is faster, much nicer staff and cheaper to boot! Half of the time, this deli is really good. The other half, it is a mess. There is one guy who is always so kind and a pleasure to see! The food he makes is always phenomenal and it's made with care. The rest of the staff wouldn't know their job if you smacked them with it. They are rude, impatient and the food is always lacking with them. I only come to this deli because of the one guy and hope he's there when I order. It's really unfortunate because if he was there a little more often, the deli wouldn't leave such a bad taste in my mouth. I desperately want to like this place, they have landed on my travels on the weekend often . their bread is amazing , they have a great sandwich menu . the service is slow and often borders on rude and they aren't cheap so I don't want to give my money to some little 15 year old who hasn't mastered manors . Don't waste your time. Went there on a Saturday and it was moderately busy. I ordered 3 egg sandwiches. Waited for my order, for about 10 minutes. No food yet. Everyone else after me had gotten their food and left already. I asked what was going on, and they hadn't put my order in. Waited another 10 minutes for my food and the order was wrong. I haven't gone back since. This deli used to be good. I'm not sure what happened, I think new owners may have taken over. You're better off going to the diner a few stores over, you'll get way better food, and you'll be finished quicker anyway. read more

If you like insects all over Everything then maybe it's worth the trip. Flies everywhere plus little flying bugs in were the baked good were kept. Not just one or two, I'm talking dozens. Filthy place, I hate giving low reviews but they need to do something about the bugs. I wanted to try some of the pasta salads but they didn't look fresh at all. Went in for breakfast with my family and received the worst customer service. They were very rude when I inquired about alternate meat and bread options. Aka Turkey sausage and Sour Dough. If I could give this deli negative stars I would. On a Sunday morning, the only bagels they had were salt and everything flagels. When we called to order, we ordered an egg everything bagel...didn't tell us there weren't any. The deli made iced tea tastes like watered down tea bags. The staff is rude and unhelpful. The food at the deli is very good. The people who work at the deli are also very nice. The management seems very unorganized and the place itself doesn't look clean. I always go here and I order the same thing every time and they charge me a different price every time. Extremely disorganized. If you call to place an order two things will happen; 1) They just don't pick up even when they're open 2) they will pick up but they will put you on hold and two minutes later a completely different person will answer the phone like you just called. I stop here to pick up some breakfast on my way to Great Rock Golf course. The deli is clean, and has a great selection of sandwiches, hot and cold foods, hot and cold drinks, pastries and beers. The guys and girls behind the counter are quite nice and usually strike up a nice chat while waiting for the grub. Prices are reasonable and the portions (for the sandwiches) are sizable! read more

Never in my life have I experienced such bad catering. Ordered one of their super bowl packages - when picked up, they handed me ice cold food for me to heat up at home -- WTF?@! plus gave me the penne ala vodka to mix myself. Not only did they charge me wrong the delivered it to the wrong location after I specified the number of the building and address and even named the location so I had to take time out of my work day to come and get my order from the different building and then they didn't know how to put the money owed on my card and told me if I wanted it I had to come get that too! Overpriced and the service is terrible almost every time I'm in there and order something; the older gentlemen behind the counter rolls his eyes and clearly has an issue with making my order...they act like its a chore to take my money....If you call up to place an order they have to take a second to think if they actually want to take it or not....always have issues, I one time was charged way too much for a sand which and noticed it on the receipt...girl behind the counter said " I don't know how to fix it so come back tomorrow and I'll take care of you ." Just...wow. Like some dystopian farce here. The first time a few Saturdays ago I waited nearly a half hour for two simple breakfast sandwiches. There were literally more people behind the line taking orders (very good at that and taking the money) and cooking than there were customers. As mirrored in other reviews, several customers coming way after me and leaving WAY before me. Other customers frustrated, grabbing their order and mumbling "this is the last time they'll see me here". But the sandwiches were actually good. This time, mere moments ago, same exact circumstances and experiences only they shorted me a sandwich in the bag and I didn't bother to check it before leaving. I started to stir and raise my voice, so the counter cashier probably thought "let me just get this guy out of here with the shorted order before he causes chaos, he probably won't notice until it's too late"...and he was right. I actually would have raised more stink, but an active duty soldier in battle fatigues was standing nearby and waiting for his order, so...you know, self shame and perspective and all. So, a real shit hole and they probably won't last much longer. read more

Meh. The guy taking my order today acted as if he were doing me a favor. I ordered two heros, one was a triple Decker that has ham, turkey, roast beef, LT and Russian dressing. I asked for American cheese and no tomato on it. What I got was very disappointing. My sandwich has a few slices of turkey and some sad looking grey roast beef, LT and honey mustard, no cheese. I took my sandwich to the beach, so at that point I wasn't able to take it back. I ate it because I was hungry but it Was not enjoyable and not worth the almost 9 bucks I got charged for it.
