Wade-N-Pop's has some really fresh fish and on certain days you can buy fresh fish and get the fish cooked on site.

The fish was delish. Only down side they were out of cold slaw. Must have it when eating fried fish.

Chosen by default, but enjoyed this place immensely. Located just off Exit 10 in Marion, if you…read morelove seafood the Seafood Shack has got ya covered! They have been just off the main interstate there for over 9yrs now. Appetizer: Fried Crawfish tails Main: Catfish & Shrimp combo platter Sides: Hush puppies, boiled & fried corn on the cob, fries, slaw. Dessert: No chance! Was too stuffed! This is a cajun joint so expect that sorta taste. Fish was good. Fried shrimp may have been the best I've ever had away from the coast. Fries are the perfect fry for a fish & shrimp combo platter. Hush puppies & slaw are a huge miss, but those crawfish tails & their dipping sauce stole the show. All of their dipping sauces were absolutely great. Boiled corn on the cob was better than fried, but they were both outstanding. Great stop on your way to Memphis or leaving from Memphis going northwest. Service was decent. Prob would have been more excited to see us if we didn't come 45 min before closing, but thats on us. It's got an old Backyard Burger vibe but w/TVs everywhere & servers. Got a good size outdoor patio for thats nice evenings w/no mosquitoes & less than 85 degree heat. The owner of this place also has another local restaurant just across the parking lot called Venue. I will be trying that out on my next trip thru there.

We really enjoyed the catfish basket for lunch which included 4 good-sized cornmeal-crusted filets that were perfectly fried and were moist and decently seasoned. The coleslaw was a classic mayo-based version that complemented the rest of the basket. The tartar sauce was good as well, and the fries were crispy. The basket also came with a Hawaiian roll and a single hush puppy that was tasty. The fried shrimp was plump and also nicely fried and juicy, and the accompanying cocktail sauce was decent as well. The original Coke with pellet ice in the classic red cup was very refreshing on a hot day. Definitely recommend trying it out!

Atmosphere was a redecorated Shoney's or something. What is disliked, a lot, was the service. Although other tables near me were served very courteously, the same waitress was a bit rude, but more so "no interested" in waiting the table. Flipped the menu down. Got the so so tasting scallops, but ZERO help after that. She never checked in on us, never asked us how anything was tasting, had to stop her twice, wants to ask for utensils, another time to ask for a refill, asking for refill is when she slapped our check down on the table and tried to walk off, and I say "excuse me, excuse me"... then weirdly when she brought my check, she reached over from the other Booth, not the side of our table, taped me on my shoulder and shoved my credit card and their seat up in my face. I always tip nicely, 20 to 25%. But this time I tipped accordingly and wrote a note to the manager. The waitress could not have been more disinterested in serving me as a bystander on a street. Too many other options with a short drive over to Memphis, I won't be back to this place. If you visit here and your waitress is mid 20s with extensions, literally touching the floor, you might want to ask for another server

The place…read morewas empty and that gave us a slight hesitation in our step but when we travel, we love finding places that others don't necessarily know about. WOW! So glad we did! Our waitress, Grace quickly became like family with her outgoing personality, attention to detail and knowledge of all the local foodie places to hit up with honest reviews of each. We chatted like we were old friends and she was patient with a few meal adjustments even complimenting some choices saying the chef is going to be so excited to see you ordering filet correctly! (In case you're wondering, always med rare - never well done!) The food was great, the ambience cozy and the service was out of this world! We asked Grace why no one was in? She told us they are one of downtown Memphis best kept secrets but that the chef caters some pretty big local entities. Well, Memphis and those traveling thru, it's high time you know about this place! Extensive menu with sushi choices, hibachi, as well as other options for those seeking options. When you stop in, tell Grace the girls from Michigan say Hi!

A refreshing soup option was the onion soup so I tried it and it was delicious. It was an onion broth with scallion, mushroom and tempura pieces. I also tried the spicy tuna roll, and while it's great that it came out at lightning speed, it did not look like it was freshly made. I did ask for extra ginger and the waitress really delivered, she brought a whole mini bowl extra, my favorite, I lastly tried onion tempura (great deal at less than $2). The first piece I tried was crunchy, hot, delicious. The remaining pieces were end/top of the onion and it looked like it still had dirt at the top. It turned me off to finishing the rest. Mixed feelings about this experience overall, probably won't return.
