We went in to get a ring resized and Waco Jewelers was so friendly and helpful. The reason the ring was the wrong size in the first place was that when we went into a chain jewelry store to measure the size, they rushed us and didn't take time to see how it fit. Waco Jewelers let us try on several sizes and let us take our time to make sure it was the right fit before they took it to resize. They were very reasonably priced and we got the ring back the next day. The ring is seamless and you can't tell we resized it at all, it looks just like new! I definitely recommend Waco Jewelers and will be coming back if I have any more jewelry needs. read more

Went in to see about selling a piece of jewelry that I had recently had appraised at over $12,000 (14k gold with 5 karats of diamonds). They offered $700! I will never do business with them and would never recommend them to anyone. I went in WJ to purchase a right hand ring. Not really sure of what I wanted I asked for suggestions. They showed me a ring, not too expensive, that wowed me! It needed to be sized. After I purchased it, they gave me a time frame of when it would be ready. Actually it was ready before the time they had told me and was done beautifully. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the price was so reasonable, that I ended up purchasing the matching necklace as well. My husband has been a customer of Waco Jewelers for 20 years and trusted Michael Hayburn with our jewelry. He took my wedding ring in (that he bought from Michael) to have a prong fixed. The ring was in perfect condition when it was placed in Michael's hands. When we got it back, the diamond was completely cracked in half. To make matters worse, Michael LIED and said he didn't damage it, and wanted to charge us to "repair it." My husband even offered to meet him halfway on the advice of another jeweler, knowing that if he was a good, honest guy, he would do it. Michael told him that we should take it somewhere else. No honesty, no customer service. If he was a good business man he would run his business accordingly but he proved himself to be a scumbag. I went in two weeks ago to inquire about having some custom body jewelry made. After a quick conversation about the specifications with Hillary, I left. I was told they'd call in a couple days with an estimate. Two hours after I left, Hillary already had my estimate ready. As before, I was welcomed promptly and cheerfully. The timeframe from start to completion was spot on. Every time I went in I was greeted very cheerfully. The end product was exactly what I wanted, exactly to the specifications, and there were no surprises. I am new to Waco and have experience my first RUDE person. I took a ring that I bought in Spain to have the stone reset as it came out of the setting. When I picked up my ring they had glued the stone back into the setting ruining the clarity of the stone - the glue made it cloudy and you could see bubbles in the glue through the stone. I told the young woman sales rep that this was unacceptable to me and they needed to redo the work. She went back to the back and returned 10 minutes later to tell me that there was nothing they could do and that they would refund my $30 for the repair work. I said, "This is not acceptable to me, you have ruined my ring - its in worse shape than when I brought it to you." I then requested to speak to the owner. The sales rep went in the back and I waited another 15 minutes for her to return. She said that they are pulling out the glue to return the ring in the state that I gave it to them in but likely they are going to break the stone in the process. My response: "What are you going to do about that, are you going to replace the stone?" Her reply: "No". So my response was, I asked to speak with the owner and you have yet to produce the owner, you have ruined my ring and... At this point a man comes flying out of the side door screaming at me telling me to get the "hell out of his store". He all but through my ring at me and demanded I leave his store. At this point I said, "I am going to post on social media a VERY negative review." His response: "Are you threatening me?" in a very derogatory, threatening way. Then he said state your full name for the cameras. And kept screaming "Are you threatening me?" My response: "I have not threatened you physically only stating my recourse. Like David A. stated in another review "When Michael (owner) is made aware of the incompetence of his staff or other problems, he turns the situation around and accuses the customer. Please do not go to this establishment. They are crooks. They gave me my ring back, ruined and I still had to pay for the service. read more

My daughter and I recently had a terrible experience at this store. She took a ring I had given her to be cleaned and the stone mount tightened. Apparently the man who did the work cracked the stone. He told my daughter he would order a new stone to replace it. When I went in to pick it up, it was the old stone with occlusions (cracks). The owner refused to replace the stone and told me to get out of the store and never come back. Seriously? How does this business stay open? read more
