We dropped off our 2 pigs one week ago. Today we picked up our order. We have been very pleased with our experience at WR Meats. They have communicated with us during the whole process. Our cutting order looked excellent today when we picked it up. We have already eaten some of the sausage and it was super fresh and delicious. This place is fast, easy to work with, clean and does good quality work at a good price. The ABSOLUTE WORST!!! My friend dropped off an 800+ pound bull. We were purchasing half of this beef for ourselves. Supposedly, they let it hang for 4 weeks. Then, when it was FINALLY ready, we received only 220 lbs. of meat!!! FROM A BULL THAT WEIGHED OVER 800 POUNDS!?!? I don't think so!! We were NOT given the liver, tongue, heart or testicles either. And the filet looked like it was from a 200 pound calf, NOT AN 800 POUND BULL!! When questioned about the low amount of processed meat we received, 'Betty' said it was due to bones and waste. Betty's explanation for not including the heart, liver, tongue and testicles was 'it's now against Federal Inspectors to save organ meat's.' However, they were selling it out of their in-store freezers. We most definitely did not get the meat from the animal we dropped off aand did not get all the meat we were supposed to get. We will NEVER use W R Meat Processing again. And you shouldn't either. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MEAT AND THEN SELL IT AT OVER INFLATED PRICES. read more

We had a cow processed here a few months ago, when we got it back the meat started stinking up our freezer. We sent it to OK agriculture and it came back with 2 types of ecoli. We had to call several times and get the OK agriculture association involved for her to give us the money back because she refused. She also did not give us all our meat from our cow to begin with. This has been a month long process and she blocked our calls in order to not have to pay. Do not recommend AT ALL. She also made us bring back the meat and will probably try to sell it, because that's what she did with the sirloins she didn't originally give us. read more

Do not take your cow here. They shorted us on much of our meat. Didn't get any ribs. hamburger meat and some of the other meat smells. They also packaged some meat the is labeled Tbone and I have no clue what the meat is from but def not Tbone.. it has 3 little roundish bones and 1 large bone taking up most of the steak. Our "ribeyes" are the same size as a filet Mignon And only received a few of those. Before we got our meat, we paid and they charged us more than they had state. We also believe that the meat we received was not from our cow. Our cow was 1 1/2 years old.. and pretty sure this is from an older cow. Please do yourself a favor and call someone else. read more

I recently had a steer butchered here. Very disappointed. The beef I delivered had been kept up and feed out for several months. I have had beef butchered before at other places and was amazed at the deference from store bought beef. But what I received from WR Meat was terrible the meat has an odor and the only thing I can figure is I received another beef. Store bought beef is better than the meat I received from here. We've been having calves processed here for at least 3 years now. Definitely a good place, but do be aware, just like any other butcher, they have their busy times. We recently had 2 hogs processed. Out of a 530 lb hog we got 295 lbs cut weight, including 18 lbs of bacon. The hams were too large for them to cure, so they cut them into pork steaks. Sounds like some people don't understand that, just like accountants have their season, as do most businesses, butchers have times of the year when they can't see straight for all the requests! Be aware of this and ASK if it's a really busy time, so you'll know. read more

Used them three times. Twice for our beef and they did a real good job and seemed friendly so we decided to use them when it was time for our pigs. We took three in May 25th. We were told a week for the fresh meat and three weeks for the smoked meat. After two weeks we called on the fresh meat since they never called us and picked it up soon thereafter. after about five weeks we called about our smoked meats and were told it was not ready. A week later they said Saturday, after Saturday they said another week if they answered are talked to us at all. Finally after eight weeks we went there to tell them to give us our meet or we would take them to court. They finally gave us our meat. I do not believe it is actually from our pigs however since the weights don't seem right and out of three pigs we only received 34 pounds of bacon...we were robbed. We will never go back and I would tell you if you want your meat from your pig...go somewhere else. read more

We decided to buy a hog and have it processed with this company. We were told that the fresh pork would be ready in about two weeks and that the bacon we ordered would be done two weeks after that. After 4 weeks we received our pork. The meat is absolutely delicious. The pork chops are the best I have ever had, the sausage is great, and the other cuts are fantastic as well. After 3 weeks of waiting for our bacon I called and spoke to the owner Ms. Gonzales. She said they had been very busy and that the bacon was cured and just needed to be cut. She said it would be about a week. I called back a week later and she apologized and said they had just been so busy she hadn't gotten to it yet. She promised it would be done soon. I called back and went to the business a week later and she still could not produce the bacon. She again had excuses of being busy and she had freezer problems. I told her that it had been 8 weeks and we wanted our bacon. She said it was cooked and I would be the first to be called as soon as she cut it. I called again a week later and she would not answer the call or return the message. I left 2 more voice messages. No answer. I have turned in a complaint to the BBB and they have began their process. The business has been informed by BBB as well as myself. I do not want the meat at this point due to not trusting the quality of the product (no telling what they would do to it at this point). On a side note, we had a 270lbs hog, hanging wait of 210lbs. we should have received approximately 148lbs of meat. We only received 104lbs. So she shorted us the meat (about 40lbs) and I am sure made a profit off of it. Their YouTube video shows an all "white" staff as well. However, there is not a "white" person that works there. Everyone in the building is of Mexican heritage. This is not a problem for me but it is dishonest on their part. Why hide that fact from the public? Be proud! DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE.
