Lovely little shop/post office, run by a lady called Olive, and is very local to me. Its not huge, but handy for going to get the morning paper or if you fancy a bit of choccie in the evening. It has a small range of cards for all occasions, a selection of stationary, and a few magazines. Behind the counter it sells the usual cigarettes and has a variety of alcohol, although not huge, and can be more expensive than getting it at a supermarket.
There is also a little post office counter at the far end, very handy as you would have to walk into town otherwise.
The only thing I hate about this shop is the fact that it is en route to the train station from the 2 local secondary schools and one primary. So at about 3.30 ish you cannot get in there as it is such a squish with all the school kids pushing their way in, although Olive has made this a little more bearable by making the kids queue outside and letting a few in at a time. read more
