My son has been a student at Newman for five years. After the first year I was so happy with the…read moreschool and the caring environment, I applied for a teaching position and was lucky enough to get the opportunity to work at Newman. The class sizes are smaller, the curriculum is amazing, my son is an honor student and is excelling not only academically, but at life. I love working at Newman. We have the greatest staff and teachers that truly care about their students. There is genuine love for students and their families at Newman and it is a very safe and beautiful environment as well! The reviews below made me so sad. I am sure that caring parents reading the reviews will be able to read between the lines and understand that for whatever reason the reviews were written by people that were upset with the school for enforcing policies, behavior expectations, and school rules that are outlined in the Student Handbook - which every parent and student receives and then signs an acknowledgement of receipt and understanding. of the contents. Students are allowed to wear any jacket outside, the Newman approved school jackets are for inside. Newman does enforce the dress code and I am glad. If I am following the rules and providing the proper uniform for my child, I expect other parents to do the same. Newman is a school that follows the rules and policies. As a parent of a student here, and an employee, I am so happy. I have a good student that does his job and behaves well. If that is the type of student you have, or want your child to be, this is the place for you! Try it - you will love it here!

I will never be able to say enough good things about this daycare. Shout out to Ms. West, Ms. Williams, Ms. Davis, Ms. Ramos, Ms. Brenton, Ms. Timmins, etc., the list goes on & on! I am a first time mom and let me just tell you, I cried every single day for weeks leading up to the end of my maternity leave. I was absolutely terrified to leave my 3 month old baby girl in someone else's care. You always hear the bad things about daycare, but let me just tell you my fears completely went away after the first few days of my baby being at Primrose. You can tell that the entire staff genuinely cares about their job and about the children. That put my mind and my heart at ease. And let me just say, Ms. Cameron, Ms. Martinez, and Ms. Jeffery are the BEST! They are so warm and kind to all of the babies in their care. They love their job and they care so much for each and every baby in their class. I know that my baby looks forward to spending time with her teachers every day, and that makes returning to work a little easier on me. I highly recommend this daycare if you live in the area.

We were immediately shown a room (no ID requested), and left unattended by Tasha with other kids (very concerning). When I asked about their curriculum they referred me to a paper on a wall. Finally, we were rushed out of there in the LEAST polite manner due to a "situation." We walked out to multiple police cars and an adult altercation. Simply unprofessional and unimpressed by the such "reputable" child care.

‼‼WARNING: DANGEROUS DAYCARE‼‼…read more I had to remove my 5-year-old son from this daycare due to repeated physical and emotional abuse from his teacher, Ms. Carole. My son used to refer to her as his "ANGRY" teacher because she would constantly yell at him, call him names, and make him feel small. I began noticing changes in his behavior and, after gently asking him questions, he opened up about the mistreatment. He told me that Ms. Carole would hit him on his arms and legs, mock him about his backpack, saying it was dirty and making him hide it so it wouldn't be seen. Even more heartbreaking, she made fun of his eczema--a condition he struggles with daily. I immediately reported this to the Director, Ms. Vanessa, but instead of addressing the abuse, she brushed it off. She told me that my son "probably just doesn't want to be here" and suggested that I remove him--which I did. I am devastated that my child had to endure this. What's worse is that Ms. Carole is STILL employed there. Why? This place is not just unsanitary and unprofessional--it's toxic. The environment feels cult-like among the staff, and it's clear the teachers are overworked and underpaid. I'm sharing this so other parents are aware. Protect your children. Trust your gut. If something feels off, it probably is. I would have put no starts but that wasn't a choice!

Nevertheless, he attended this place for a month and was sick everyday week! I had him on vitamins as well as antibiotics hence he got an ear infection while attending. I returned his to this place with his doctors note from children's hospital clearing him to return... I mentioned to the owner I took him to the primary care doctor to get an antibiotic shot as children's didn't have it in their quick clinic she wanted a not from there as well as if the note from the hospital wasn't sufficientMoreover, there was NEVER any communication in regards to if he ate all of his food, if he had a poop or pee diaper, if he took a nap, if they had arts and crafts!!!! Nothing!!! Also, they had me standing outside of the daycare for pickup until I questioned her about it and then she stated I needed to Sign a background form... I was later able to enter the school and stand in the door entry way let's mention the lunch menu for infants -beans, rice, bread, peaches , turnip greens and water! hence why my son was hungry everyday when I picked him up this is not the type of food that interests a toddler (1 year old)! I picked him up one day the owner was eating a hot dog... I thought why is that not on the menu for the children? In conclusion don't send your baby to this place if you have any concerns for their health and development! Save your 150 week and go elsewhere! I had to put a star so it would post my review but if I didn't I wouldn't

As of October 4, 2022, this daycare has officially been shut down by the state. I received an email…read moreon this day at 5:28pm as I was pulling into the daycare to pick up my children. It's been almost 7 days since the center closed and no one is getting back to me about the refund of the tuition I paid. We were given no explanation as to why the daycare closed. In the email the director lied and said she didn't know why, but when she got more information she would let us know. I know this is a lie because the daycare AND Ms. Ibrahim were BOTH on probation by the state. Ms. Ibrahim wasn't allowed to step foot on the daycare premises at all, and had several violations against her. Something had been going on for quite some time and the parents were left in the dark about it all. I came into the center a couple weeks ago to sign some paper work and saw a sheet hanging up advising the center had been on probation since October 2021. When I asked a teacher about it she nonchalantly said oh it's nothing, it was just an issue with a teacher. My husband and I had already discussed taking them out this daycare because of other issues of neglect and unorganization, but this was the LAST straw. If you look on Texas health website, https://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child_Care/CCLNET/Source/Provider/ppComplianceHistory.aspx?fid=1316390&tab=2 , you will see the scary long list of violations and the confirmation of the center being on probation. Parents PLEASE check this website before taking your child to ANY daycare. I'm glad this place got shut down because the director Ms. Ibrahim had an evil user spirit and treated her employees poorly. I witnessed the way she talked to the BLACK teachers and she was very disrespectful. The teachers themselves said Ms. Ibrahim was racist. Just look at her responses to the negative reviews on google! I can only imagine how she treated the children, she probably talked to the students the same way. The turnover at this center was alarming. Every month my child had a new teacher and no one would ever introduce themselves, so I never knew who my children's teachers were unless I asked. The only one that was consistent was Ms. Jackson who we loved dearly and my children loved her too. She also put in her 2 weeks notice because of mistreatment from Ms. Ibrahim. This center lost a lot of good teachers due to the director,  Ms. Jones,  Ms. Tamika, Ms. Paige. Honestly the center went down hill once the teachers I just listed quit. After this, the director just started hiring anyone off the street it seemed like. They all looked young and ghetto, had ZERO communication skills, unlicensed, didn't introduce themselves and clearly unqualified to be dealing with children all day. There were always new teachers, and no one ever asked for ID when parents were picking up kids. They would give parents the wrong child, leaving children on the school bus. There was talk about one of the teachers abusing kids, so she was forced to quit. I don't believe any of these teachers were properly licensed and certified. If the teachers that work there are telling you to leave due to countless issues, then you know something is wrong. My children were given to me constantly with runny and crusty faces, hands dirty, clothes peed on. I'd go home and change them and would see crust in their diapers, looked like they werent wiped well at all. They would come home with random scratches and marks and no one at the center could explain how it happened. They had too many students per teacher and there was clear negligence with the teachers. My children didn't learn much attending this daycare. I regret not leaving sooner. I pray this center NEVER opens again and that Ms. Ibrahim never works at another daycare in her life.

I let it slide several times because I figured they have to be exposed to unkindness in order to grow. Well today was absolutely enough. Kate threatened my daughter with screaming at her if she continued to cough. My daughter spent the rest of her time there holding her breath in order to not cough and get an aggressive reaction from Kate. Today my daughter also decided to wear her pajama bottoms to class. Kate called her, a. 6 year old innocent child...poor and broke. What kind of person who is supposed to be trained to work with children behaves this way? Well apparently Kate and she is fully endorsed and supported by the owner, Rina Nicole Hale. I tried reaching out to her to get assurance that this would not happen to another child again and she simply ignored and blocked me. When my daughters let me know what happened I went back inside to withdraw them. Enough was enough. I was calm when speaking with the manager, Kala because she wasn't the aggressor who hurt my daughters feelings. But I was still met with aggression and hostility from Kala. She laughed in my face and tried gaslighting me. Saying no one has ever had a problem with Kate. In between loud annoyed sighs and groans she gave me the worst service. I even asked her why she was behaving that way. I asked for the owners contact information and she said, no one has time for you. I later found out Kala and the owner Rina are best friends so absolutely no disciplinary actions will take place. No customer relations will be mended. After spending so much money on this business we were met with some of the worst treatment we've ever experienced. Please save your children the heartache and save yourself the money.
